Loki would hold up his hands.
"My prices are always fair. I do not wish to anger too many War Gods in my time. Allfather knows my brother gets enough of my mischief."

"Then a fair price is perfect."
He said with a hearty laugh.
"Nothing in this world is truly free. It's refreshing to be able to bluntly haggle price rather than infer it. Speaking of which, what price do you seek Loki?"

Loki would share in the laugh.
"Nothing special, Ares. A simple boon, or future favor of aid. I hear tale of Titans. No doubt trouble for the future. I simply wish to be prepared."

"I do not write blank checks for favors. But if it is protection you wish then that I can arrange. Is there something in particular you fear? Do you plan to venture from our lands? Such things I need to know to best know the boon to bestow upon you."
But he really didn't trust Loki with a blank check for a future favor.

Loki would chuckle.
"That's why we like you most, Ares... I will be venturing planting myself around places like a weed, draining the life of the trees around me. But should it come down to battle I am not to be compared to the best of combat."

"If you plan to move about then ensuring your protection is harder. So I think a physical boon is the most prudent. Or a skill. I could always teach you to fight. Imagine the look on Thor's face next time he tries to shove you around."
He said with a grin.
"Otherwise I wager you wish for a boon or raw power as subtlety is already your domain."

"Maybe a switch. I plan to have Allfather infsue some of my illusionary power into a necklace pendant for you. It should work at least once. Maybe Allfather could do something similar with your power for me."
Loki began pondering those possabilities.

"So you desire a taste of Earth bending. That would be a fair trade for equal amounts of power."
He nodded. He could live with that.

Loki would bow again.
"Then I'll get to work, unless you had other thoughts or requests?"

"Just that if he believes it to be possible to speak to me before we do so. I would hate for one of us to be stuck without our normal abilities or something for some time."
He didn't want to get fucked in the deal.

"Very well. I would be lost without the illusions."
And the form of Loki would fade into mist then nothing vanishing. Should Mathew care to look around he would see Loki already speaking with Odin in the distance.

He chuckled as he saw them already speaking. Pleased to hear that Loki didn't want a mishap with them losing their powers either. It would be problematic for him if that happened. Even with illusions. Still, he crossed that task off his mental list and began to walk away to find a quite area for some privacy.
Upon finding an alley away from the bustle of the city he would crouch down and scoop up a small hunk of stone. Shaping it into a small little winged dragon. Closing his eyes to take deep calming breaths and center himself. He was going to try it less violently this time.
He tried to channel his energy into the dragon. Picturing it forming inside of the Dragon like small flat gears, connecting and moving each other. He took his time pushing the energy in. Meticulously connecting every gear, placing them with great care. All with various amounts of energy to fit the gear size.
In the center of the contraption of gears was an empty chamber. He worked on building walls inside of it. Trying to reinforce the empty chamber which would house the power source. If the blazing inferno was to chaotic and violent then he would try being as ordered as clockwork.
Inside the chamber he poured the energy. A large pool of it, filling the chamber. Compressing the pool into a ball and compressing it and trying to stabilizing it and compressing it again. He would take his time, repeating this process until it was as small as he could make it while keeping it stable. Only then would he release his flow and wait to see if it moved or blew up again...

After the tedious process of gruelingly building the energy and process of where and how the creature would operate cracks and dust would form at joins. A dull moss green glow from the eyes and mouth. And it would bite Mathew's hand. Enough to draw two piink prick holes of blood. But it was moving.
Mathew would feel drained at this point and not just of energy it was like his earth bending was literally gone.

"Ouch!"
He went to grab it with his stone hand as he sucked on the bite wound. It smarted! But his stone arm wouldn't move! His brows furrowed deeply. This might be problematic...
His flesh arm shot out of his mouth to try and grab the little dragon.
"No biting me!"
Would it take orders? It was his creation. He was kind of God to it? How the fuck did he lose his powers!? How could he be a God with no powers!?

The little dragon would make head motions as if it where laughing at Mathew, but it no longer was biting or trying to bite.
