"Per session or total?"
The wheels started to turn for him. Could this be a repeated training method for him? Or were there risks to that? Risks even for him? And if so did he dare push them further?

"Total. I would not push your soul too far in that environment. Your soul would attach itself to the box and would reject your body no matter how hard we tried to shove it back in."

"I see. Then I suppose I shall heed the warning rather than push my luck like I did in purgatory. For now at least."
He said with a grin. There were limitations on it, but limitations were made to be broken through. He would just need to figure out how. Though it was hardly a priority at the moment. For the first time of the evening he would take a bite of the food though as he mulled it over.
"This is quite good."

Pandora and Karen would show bright smiles since they cooked it.
"Glad you like it. We used sea salt directly pulled from the ocean instead of that store bought stuff."

"I see. So did you boil the water out of it? Or something else? I must admit I don't actually know anything about the process of getting sea salt out of ocean water."
He said moving things to small talk. His flesh arm moving to touch the dragon and absorb it's energy once more to regain his power before recreating his arm and attaching it once more. Wincing as the barbs hooked into his flesh once more.

"That's the faster way, but it can change the taste of the salt, we put the water in shallow, but large pans and let the sun evaporate it."

"How does it change the taste?"
Wouldn't it all be the same? He really didn't understand the witchcraft of cooking sometimes.

"Well salt water originally has bad quality when it comes to its salinity, boiling the water would break down the salt even more, making the salt bitter instead of full of flavor."
Karen decided to answer.

"But the sunlight wouldn't break the salt down more?"
Was it a heat thing? Or how quickly it broke down? And why were they even talking about this? He would expect this kind of stuff from barker. If they started talking about it's chemical composition he was going to have to pinch himself to make sure he didn't pass out on his own kitchen table listening to Sean ramble on again.

"No, its a much slower process, so the salt has more of a chance to bunch up and keep some of its moisture."
Karen was fully prepared to talk about chemical make up of salt! But she didn't.

"Well alright then."
He glanced over to Hector. Poor guy had to live with this!
"So who made the sides? Dion right?"
He teased. Dion probably brought the drinks. That was kind of his thing if he recalled. Though Mathew got a disturbingly small amount of party invites. He might need to see what was up with that! Was he not popular!?

Dionysus would laugh.
"No, I simply brought the Hawaiian Punch, the rest was Mom and Karen."
Pandora would raise her hand.
"Sides are my specialty. Buttered garlic bread, scrambled eggs with shredded cheese and bacon, lets not forget the green beans and mayonnaise."

"Well thank you again for inviting me to dinner. It's a nice gesture and I appreciate it."
He wasn't used to it either. Normally the people he hung out with were David and Leon. Their relationships were a bit more barbed. They didn't normally sit down for nice peaceful meals.
"Truth be told I'm actually a little surprised to see normal food here."

"Yeah our government structure tried to bring back normalcy above everything else, and food was top priority. Make a few people raise cattle, make spices, or grow crops for payment and free housing for the family and you get people jumping at the chances."
Hector replied.

"Not what I meant. But that makes sense. I just meant cause you guys can eat. Well, you know."
Souls.
Just like Mathew could eat the fork in his hand. He suspected there were no shortage of people dying and options to choose from. The morality of it didn't seem to be a problem because as far as he knew both him and Karen did eat souls.
