Mathew was currently outside doing touch ups on several statues that he had formed in the area around his house. Some human in shape, many of them dragon in shape. And one even looked to resemble Ares itself. Though not Mathew specifically. Each statue looked to have been formed organically from the ground. All of them expertly crafted and realistic in appearance.
Mathew was currently touching up the scales on one of the Dragons that was in front of the house. Crouched down as his fingers traced along the body forming the indents of the scales.

" You are...Ares, God of War, yes?" Off to the side, probably behind Mathew, a woman stood, hands in her pockets. It was about nine at night, and she was surprised to see the man still working on things. But...she supposed he didn't sleep much. Her king didn't sleep much either. She watched him, deep blue eyes waiting.

Mathew stood up from his work and turned to face the unfamiliar voice. His eyes moving upward to reach her face as she was quite a bit taller than him. Which meant that she was a Titan. His hand moved to the Dragon that he had been working on, but his expression remained calm, if not surprised by the sudden appearance.
"I am. And you are?"
Shit, one of them came to my house. This could be trouble.
He started to prepare himself to fight should need be. But he wouldn't strike first. He didn't need a two front war if he could prevent it. That would just waste resources. But if she came for trouble then she would not find an easy mark.

She nodded.
"I am Tethys, Titaness of the Sea."
She stepped forward, so they weren't twenty feet apart...and glanced around.
"You have no guards?"

Mathew looked around the yard and then back at the Titan. He was dressed as he normally was and in the middle of his own home turf. There were no posted guards. He did have people inside. People like Avenger, and Barker and some others. But no one standing watch over him, but rather hanging out at the house.
"Do I need them?"

She gave a small smile.
"Before I ask you what I came to ask, I suppose I should find out."
From out of the earth under Mathews feet, water would sprout up and grip his ankles. She would throw a hard right straight-punch for Mathews chin, intent to test his abilities.

Mathew's stone arm moved down to his mace as she said that she wanted to find out if he needed a guard or not. Warning enough for what was to come. The tendrils grabbed his ankles and he made no move to block the punch to his chin, opting to nullify it instead. His stone arm shooting out and extending from his body as the mace head jutted out being manipulated by his Qi.
He was aiming to smack her right in the solar plexus with it while she was busy hitting him. And if Summers was right about this mace then if she had any little defensive tricks like Mathew did then she would be in for a nasty surprise.

Tethys would feel the punch connect, but noticed the lack of damage. Interesting. So it was true he was sturdy, like a mountain. His attack on her would meet her shield of the sea, which erupted from her body-
It went through it. Through her shield. Sonofa-
The hit slammed into her chest, sending her stumbling back several steps. He hit hard, and fast, and knocked the wind from her. The water stayed connected to her arm, and receded. He could hold his own. Not against the biggest and baddest of them...but if others were like him.
She stood. She saw what she needed, just in that little attack. She rubbed her stomach, trying to regain her breath after a moment, but holding up a hand to tell him that was enough.
"So you are as strong as they say. Do others in your circle of allies have this kind of strength?"

His arm came back to it's normal dimensions as he holstered the mace and kept the arm on the Dragon. Just in case still. But it seemed that she was able to be handled. He likely wouldn't need to use any of his new tricks. Which was good, he would rather keep a few aces up his sleeve just in case.
"Some do, others are stronger, and others are weaker."
He said unconcerned about revealing that he was not the strongest of his allies. If anything that should strengthen their position. He was strong and driven. But he was not yet the strongest.
"Is that why you came? To test our strength?"
Because if she was a scout to test out their might then it might be best that something was done to make sure that she did not give them what they needed.

She would stand, now fine as the water moved back into her system.
"Not quite. I came to ask you for a favor. But I'd like to know, before hand, who you see as stronger, and who you see as almost as strong as you. Just so I can know who to watch. I mean none of you harm...in fact, just the opposite."
She seemed pale as she talked...like she was worried. But her words were strong.

"I appreciate the risk you are taking marching up to my house about this. But you must understand my position. You are asking me to give you assessments on the battle capabilities of my allies, who could very well be the enemy of your people."
So he didn't feel comfortable going into that with someone who he had just met with just their assurance that they mean no harm to him or his allies. And instead intended to help. Talk was cheap.

She took a deep breath.
"My Uncle plans to make war on you. He is King of the Titans, Kronos. He is a man obsessed with power, and serves another master. Some of us disagreed- the most notable being Hyperion, the Warrior. He was...our next vote to rule the kingdom. But since he...betrayed us to free the blonde Grand-daughter of Odin, he was banished, and now nothing is stopping my King from marching on your lands, regardless of what others think."
She was pale, still, but didn't hesitate during her speech.
"I do not wish for war. But before I can convince others...I need to know that you are capable of helping us, if it comes to it. Will you...tell me now, what I wish to know?"
She had given him information, hoping he would do the same.

Hyperion. He needed to find him in order to reach Themis. He had gone through his notes and identified him as a child of Gaia and Titan of the Sun. He didn't know why Kiyr had been there, or how she had gotten in so deep. But his blood started to boil at hearing that Kronos had tried to get his paws on her. She was his, and he did not appreciate other people trying to break his things.
Cursing him was one thing, trying to take his apprentice was a whole different matter. It figured that Kronos did want war given his actions toward Mathew outside the wall. If anything this just confirmed his suspicions.
"Why does he want to start a war? And if there are many of you who wish to not go to war then why not leave the walled off lands and come to us? Your strengths and ours will surely be more than a match for him."
Dodging the question.

She shook her head.
"Fair is fair. I have given you reason to trust me by giving you information you wanted. Do you intend to return the favor, or have I come to the wrong man?"
She was not going to simply give everything to him. She didn't entirely trust him, after all.
