Hurrah for research papers, right? So, like a good student, Chihiro had ventured down to the Public Library on a cheery Saturday afternoon. The sun was shining, and it was a relatively warm day for November. Chi was clad in a pair of clam diggers with detailing on the side and pockets and a vintage orange slice tshirt. Her long raven hair was pulled back in a single french braid, falling over her right shoulder. In her arms she carried two books and a notebook with a pen stuck in the spiral.
After a few hours of studying, Chi finally decided to head back home, drop her things off, and maybe see what Aureus was up to. Thinking of Aureus, the dark haired junior ran her thumb over the metal band encircling her ring finger, it was still a new sensation, feeling its weight on her hand, but it made her feel fluttery just thinking about it. This motion had become more of a habit than biting her bottom lip, and she hadn't even had it for very long. Her train of thought broke as the red locomotive made its way toward her, and she reached out her free hand and pulled herself on, stepping up among the other people riding.
"'Scuse me.."
She said politely to the people around her as she made her way farther on, gently pushing past a couple with their free arms full of groceries. She held on to one of the golden colored standing poles, swaying slightly as the trolley made its way down the road, eventaully to arrive at the road near her house.

The gentle rocking of the red locomotive traveling on the road swayed the passengers left and right, albeit only slightly. Physical contact with nudges was natural and to be expected. It was a day considered somewhat rare, without his usual leather jacket he instead had on a grey-blue long sleeve shirt over that white tank top of his, rolled up to the elbows on each side so as to allow his arms some open contact with whatever was left of the wind to help keep cool. And as his left shoulder rubbed up against the back of Chihiro's right, he stood side-on behind her. This encounter was purely coincidental...
... but even that, did not stop instinct from cleaving reason.

As the trolley jostled along, the girl felt someone brush her shoulder, but she didn't take much heed in the matter, it was pretty crowded. Chocolate eyes glanced up at the road ahead, and she surmised that it would be a good two minutes or so before it was her turn to get off. Propping the items in her right arm, she opened one of he books she'd signed out of the library, her attention cast down to the printed pages. It wasn't that exciting, reading about the rainforest after doing about three hours of research, but it gave her soemthing to do.
She removed her hand from the standing pole momentarily to brush a strand of her unruly raven hair behind her ear before returning it, swaying slightly in the moment she stood unsupported, accidentally brushing back against the people behind her as she regained her balance.

The small chatter of selfishness that surrounded them drowned out his actions as his right arm moved to her right waist as he shifted his body over - his right side this time moving forward as he faced the same direction as she was. His left hand came up and held the pole through her own hand, he knew he would get her attention. And here in this public place she would be unable to protest.
As it seemed that traffic had suddenly increased... this little trip was about to get longer.

Chi jumped as a hand was placed about her waist. It was oddly familiar, but not Aureus. When the second hand came up to pin her left hand to the pole and she reflexively pushed back, trying to free it, did she realize who it was. She didn't even need to turn around.
"Leave me alone."
Her voice was cold, and her right hand clenched into a fist around her books in her arm. Memories from their last encounter flashed in her mind, and she shivered. She could see those eyes burning into her without leven turning to look at them.

Cute that this side had left a very memorable impression on her. Juuuust great. A patron next to Chi moved his head as he could of sworn he heard someone say something, yet through the headphones of his mp3 player he came to the conclusion that it was just him. But if anything... it seemed Chi was attracting unwanted attention, any louder and she'd have quite the crowd. Karel's right arm continued to move - past her waistline as he brought it up, the somewhat closed palm stilled itself over her stomach as it moved to make a tiny black rectangular object visible.
Perhaps she would know what it was.

Chocolate eyes glanced down at the movement of the hand, and they widened in surprised recognition as the hand moved to reveal a small black rectangle. A tape. That tape. The red light, she could almost see it blinking in front of her right now, ominously. She scowled at it, unable to snatch it from his grasp. Her left hand was pinned to the pole and her right was holding her books. Damnit. She didn't want to bring unwanted attention to herself, but if he was going to try anything here, she mighta s well attract the whole damn trolley. She hadn't had the option before, this wasn't like the empty classroom. There were witnesses. And she guessed that he wouldn't very much like the negative attention should it be cast on him.
"What do you want?"
She demanded acidly.

Ah. But he did have a guarantee.
"In about forty minutes, the world will know more about you than even your boyfriend."
If she was smart, she would be able to tell that holding him up longer than he needed to be around was an extremely bad idea. Lest the world see her in uncut. She should understand the situation she was in, and that this small camera's memory card was the very same that was plugged into the camera on that certain day. And if she behaved, he might even let her earn back her life. But why was he doing this? Why was he giving her a chance? Good question. To which I ask another - why did he let her go?
His right hand placed the memory card between his index and middle finger, clamped between the two as his thumb dug up her shirt. Of course, right now there was no witnesses... and if she did scream, there would be plenty. Of course it would be bad for him, but... it wasn't as if her position was going to get any better.

"In about forty minutes, the world will know more about you than even your boyfriend."
The girl froze. The world...he was going to release the tape? He wouldn't...because it would expose him as well as herself...He was just trying to shake her up, that was it. She continued to glare down at the hand as it begun to travel up her shirt. She wriggled her left hand, the metal of the band around her finger pressing hard into her skin. Aureus, the promise, he wasn't going to break it and neither was she. Even if was at her own destruction. She moved her right arm slightly, shifting her elbow to press out against his arm, stopping it in its track up her stomach. SHe didn't say anything, she didn't need to. The message was clear.

Expose himself? Not entirely. With today's technology, blurring out someone from a video was something that could be done by anyone. Or didn't she realise this? It was irrelevant, however. He already knew of her resistance long before approaching her like this. Their last encounter showed more to him than she could have possible imagined. Ah if only reason was around to see instinct now, the two at a constant war with one completely burying the other. But what was this? She was even trying. Physical superiority was something far-fetched for the junior, Karel's strength easily outdoing hers as two fingers began to dig down the front waistline of her pants with his head still at her left ear, he whispered his last negotiable offer. No. The ONLY offer she would ever have to even dig herself out of this mess.
"Behave, and I'll think about giving this to you."[/i]
Somewhere, within his own mind... another him lay in the discomforts of his own prison...

"And what exactly do you think you can do? We're in public, and if you try to take me somewhere else, I'll scream."
She recoiled at his touch, disgusted. It surprised her that no one had noticed this by now, but then again, the average citizen of Long Beach was about as observant as a stick. But if she threw a fit, caused a scene, they could do nothing but notice. She wasn't going to let him take her, not again. If anything, she had more on the line than before, and she would rather die or be exposed to the world like the senior threatened than break it again.
She moved her right arm again, this time to her right, pressing her elbow against his arm to stop its new direction of travel. She wriggled her left hand once more, trying to pry it free from between the pole and Karel's own left hand.

For the slightest second, something seemed to strike against his head from the inside as that aching pain returned. Of course, he couldn't feel it all and he barely noticed it. But something was holding back the instinct to kill - for survival. Despite her clamping hard against him, his progress was only delayed. When two objects collided with one another, the one difference they had in this situation was time - and he and now her, had plenty of it.
"I doubt you would. Or else would of screamed the moment you noticed me."
His two fingers continued to dig down until he reached her undergarment - stopping there for a moment as the memory card slipped and was caught by the tips of his fingers he pressed it against her skin. Karel's left hand let go of hers and fell back down by his side.
"But that's not important. It's not my life on the line."[/i]

"You don't know what I would do. You have no idea what I'm capable of."
She hissed, brown eyes narrowing in front of her. Feeling the coolness of the memory card press against her, she was struck with an idea. She brought her now free left hand down fast to fall over the memory disk, pressed against her skin by only his fingertips. Next her right elbow jammed back into his ribs. She couldn't rightly punch him while still holding her books, but her elbow was just as successful, if not moreso. She then too a small step forward with her left foot, pivoting to the side so he was no longer directly behind her. She couldn't move too much with all of the people around, but she gained a few glances. Next she grasped at the card still against her skin to pull it from his grasp, it should be a lot easier with the slight distraction she'd caused to his torso. Dark eyes rose to meet the seniors, and she was glaring, brown orbs flashing venomously. Touch me again.. She taunted inwardly, And see where that gets you..

The very minute she began to turn around, he backed off, leaving her with the memory card as he disappeared in the small crowded bus-like vehicle. Ghost. It was as if he was never there - but why? Why had he left all of a sudden? Was it the hint of regret that had stopped his actions from before? Or was he the predator of the wild, playing with prey before striking the kill?
The strangest part was... he himself didn't know.

Blink. ...And then he was gone. Just like that. The dark haired girl stood there for a moment, confused as she glanced down at the memory disc in her hand. Why did he give it to her so easily? Did that mean that wasn't the only one? Hesitantly she closed her hand around it, slipping it into herpocket as she stepped off the trolley a few blocks from her house, as she felt like walking the rest of the way, and escaping the pressing crowd of people on the trolley and whoever else might be lurking aboard.
