Family Ties

[David B.]

Ceres responded quickly.

"He has blocked my aptitude scanners, and therefore I cannot reveal his location. However, he is currently accessing my systems in search of Hyperion Aierlock. Would you like me to continue serving him?"

David would turn to look at Kiyr, waiting. Your call, Elder.

[Kyrie Blaze]

"Inquire as to his purpose but do not currently make the pods available to him. Also...can you reverse the search; instead of pinpointing where he is, rule out the places he is not?"

The tricksy Hobbits figured it was worth a shot. By not denying her to help Damien, she was buying time.

"Either way Arianna needs to get to him immediately. If you cannot reverse the search, let him know she is looking for him and is requesting his location from you."

[David B.]

Ceres chimed in.

"Attempting."

Several moments went by before Ceres would pop back in.

"Successful. Am routing Arianna there now."

David would be watching Kiyr closely.

"That was smart, ruling out rooms he wasn't in."

[Arianna Barrial]

She bumped the panel to open it and then..! He wasn't there. Her expression fell.

It was a few moments later the flickering of lights got her attention. She turned towards them, pressing the panel closed.

With a deep breath, she plunged after them!

[Damien Blaze]

He tsked.

Damn tricksy hobbits. In order for him to restrict all rooms he would have needed time, and she caught him before he could lock it down. Instead, he sealed the pod door behind him and spoke up to Ceres, flipping two buttons and pressing on the launch, while holding down the release button to force start a launch.

"Take me to him, please."

Ceres cried out and sought help from the Captains as her pod began its activation sequence.

"Captains, one of my pods has been activated. My systems are being overridden."

[David B.]

David cursed.

"Maybe we should go help after all."

He would start off, following the newly flashing lights.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie sighed, a bit relieved Damien had been located. She glanced at David before speaking quietly.

"It seemed simple logic, to me. Anywhere he was no--" The blonde cut off and swallowed at Ceres' alarm.

When David started moving off, she nodded and decided speed would serve them far better. So she tugged the edge of her Skyforce jacket and took to flying. Though, really, David would be much faster, she would take whatever head start she could get.

David agreed and followed suit! He would take to the air and grab Kiyr, hugging her to him as he blasted off, seconds away.

By the time the lights twisted to turn down a corner and abruptly end at a set of closed doors, Arianna was getting short of breath.

And it was pretty clear the doors weren't going to open even though she chanted "Open, open, open, open, open up..!" as the doctor closed the distance to them. Either they would open or she would be skidding to an abrupt halt if they didn't, her hands smacking against the metal and glass.

Damien turned and looked at the door, noticing her moving at him quite quickly. He stepped over and punched the door release, opening it and allowing her to race in before he closed it again, reselling it as David came around the corner- just before the pod detached from the ship. He spoke to David through the speaker.

"Sorry David. Kiyr. I have to go...just for a while. We will be back before the wedding."

He would turn back to Arianna, offering a small smile.

"I am glad you made it."

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie's eyes widened a touch as she was pulled in before the familiar lurch of high speed took her for a whirl. Her heart, damnable thing it was, skipped a beat for a variety of reasons, but she was content to blame it on the sudden kick of speed.

She took a breath. Soon.

And then--they didn't make it. But Arianna did. That much she had hope for. And she hoped that...maybe this could bring Damien and Hyperion back together to resolve whatever else went wrong.

Just when she thought her wrists were going to be singing in pain, the doors opened. Caught between stop and go, Arianna tripped but caught herself against the chair and hung off the back of it as the pod detached with a jolt and began to move.

She exhaled shakily, marveling that she had made it before looking up at Damien, gauging his smile. Relief? Sheepishness maybe? She stared at him a moment and then reached with one hand to brush his face with the pads of her fingers. Her other hand held the seat hostage in a white-knuckled death-grip.

"...as if I would let you go alone. But." She tried to steady her breathing. "...what are you planning on doing..?"

He didn't look angry or vengeful so she didn't automatically assume it would be like with Einrik. She had faith in him. It was just that some wounds were old and she knew that his ran very deeply, so she wanted to know, truly, what she was getting in to.

[David B.]

David hovered in the air, holding Kiyr to him without lowering to the ground.

"Do we go after them, or...?"

He looked down at her...their faces very close.

Damien leaned his face into her touch, giving a smile before he tapped a button on the wall to close the visor, so she wouldn't be able to see out. Hopefully it would help.

"I promised her long ago that I would come if ever she was in trouble, in recompense for her saving my life. I always remember my debts. Including the one I have to you."

He gave a small smile.

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kiyr glanced up.

"...I think Damien will not try anything drastic with Arianna there. Nor would he be likely to drop her off somewhere and go alone. So for now, I think it is unlikely we need to follow."

She swallowed, then looked at the door. Why take her sister with if he planned to do something horrible?
