[OOC: For timeline purposes this is no more than two days after Leon made his deal with Perseus. Open to anyone though it holds some importance just an FYI ^^]
Sacrifice.
There shouldn't be a soul old enough to understand the meaning that hasn't made some sort of sacrifice in their life for one reason or another. Life is a constant struggle. Relentless. Unforgiving. Persistently testing every inch of you every step of the way. One could argue that each test forces you to make that sacrifice. That it almost leaves you with no choice. In some cases that might actually be true. In others it is a choice. A choice that normally is made without the needing or wanting of something in return. Unselfish. Though are all sacrifice's truly unselfish? Sometimes, possibly not. But that's a matter of perspective isn't it?
If there was anyone that knew the meaning of sacrifice all to well it was Eurydice. She never did it for the recognition. She never did it to be respected. Never did it for the sake of someone loving her. She never fancied herself as a hero. It wasn't something she strived for. The life she lived demanded so much from her it was hard to ever believe there was room for her to truly have anything to call her own. Despite having people in her life that she grew to call family for most; it wasn't the same. But she did. A girl whom believed herself damned, condemned to a particular life of sorts found something. Found a life outside. A love. A family. But even in that joy there still was pain. Sorrow. Still things she couldn't control. A happy life was lived for but so long till things started to go awry. It always felt that things just couldn't go right in her world, at least just not for long. Though as of recently from her return things could be considered the worse it's been in so long if not ever. More was lost than it was gained and for once she honestly didn't know what to exactly do. The brunette didn't have the clearest of thoughts on how to remedy most of the ongoings. Her family was in complete shambles. Scattered. Divided. Her love life was a bit harder to explain. A subject not in need of touching currently yet all the more still important.
Some time ago Eury fell into a long coma and in that place she deemed an abyss of the mind there was revelations yet still newly found questions. A fear took over her once more but this time it was much more stronger than it possibly ever had been. The stubbornness in her prevented her from truly outwardly showing it. She had to fight against it but there was no doubt her trip in her mind shook her up a bit. What she experienced had her pondering heavily. Telling Leon was an option but not one she took. There was so much going on she didn't want to burden him. He had already been burdened with enough she just chose not to see it at the time. Then again she was always a woman that took everything upon herself. For example her daughters were still out there. Strike was looking for their lost son. Who was going to go looking for them? Eury didn't hold the responsibilities Leon did. Or did she and didn't even realize it? Maybe she liked to think she didn't. Yet she held responsibilities as a woman; a mother; in era of almost constant war. She wasn't one not to dawn armor and draw a sword. She'd wage war if she'd have to. Nevertheless the toll was on her. The price to be paid was her debt, or so she felt.
No more than a day or two after Leon and her made it to that apartment for a reprieve did she soonly disappear without a word early the following morning. Yes every morning she used to go for a long run but she usually returned. There was no intention in returning anytime soon. She put off too much for too long. She needed to find their daughters. She needed to find their lost son before Strike, especially before Strike. She didn't want to think what he was planning on doing with him. But there was so much more. She wanted to find Gavin to see if he was ok. If he was still alive through all the warring. But of course he wasn't at her old home any longer back in what was once Dragon territory. She had been very quiet and very careful in her travels there. She'd do best to keep her promise on remaining as low key as possible. Eury had many years under her belt of training especially in the art of concealment. If she didn't want to be found she wouldn't. That counted the that fact that static around her body from her psy energy usually keeping people or devices with certain abilities from tracking her that way. It was like a natural cloak. No energy single to pick up on. They would have to do so the old fashion way. Finding nothing at the desolation of her old home she began moving about the city again. Dressed in shades of grey she slinked about with ease. For some reason or another it was rather silent, yet it didn't seem to bother her as her thoughts were wandering about. Beginning to feel herself become unfocused she stopped her movements within a dimmed light alleyway. Her back resting against the cracked wall.
The shades of grey she wore helped her blend better with the shadows rather than all black. People who thought all black was the better option clearly had no formal training. Her eyes closed and she breathed easy while thoughts took over. She still didn't understand half of the stuff that had been going on. Leon mentioned this thing about Titan's then there was Strike. And Eury was sure she ran into a Titan that day Strike came. She warned him very clearly to stay out of her way and he mentioned something about watching her. Not like she cared at the time. But she was curious what everything meant. What was their deal? What was their role in things? Maybe Leon should've let her go with him to talk to these Titans. She should've been involved in these things by now but then again she left so oh wells. Though that one she met that interfered with her and Strike and vanished him she figured immediately he must be of some importance to have such strength. Then there was Strike. Something wasn't right about what happened that day. And that was bothering her a lot. With a sigh she found herself sliding down the wall and merely sitting on the floor.
~There's so much to figure out. So much just doesn't make any sense. Fuck I really need to find them asap. I can't let them continue to be out there it's driving me crazy not knowing. But everything else is still more confusing than needing to be. Bloody hell. And who was that man in my head? Caleb's voice was familiar but the other. Was I really dreaming? If so then I've met this person and I don't recall. If not then someone actually got in my head. What I saw I..~
Something that was clear that no one ever truly realized was that Eury was most certainly a wild card. She normally didn't conform. Though there was that momentary proposal she made to Strike that moment. What did that really mean or entail? And to think today was her birthday. Happy 28th birthday right?
