It hadn't been long since the proverbial dust settled on their abrupt departure. Kyrie knew of many she left behind...and her heart was heavy for it. And still, she had to go back to pick more up. She was tired. Weary and worn. And yet...she couldn't let them see the scuff marks. So she stood tall with distant, thoughtful eyes. She moved back to the place she had spent so much time the other day. The night before she had....well, she had gone to see David's condition. Fifteen years until it was almost completely safe to remove him from the kolo tank. The news left her a little more hollow than she had felt before. But he was alive. And would survive so long as the ship did.
And people.
She needed the people on board to survive. She needed the people on Earth she would retrieve to survive.
Kyrie stepped onto the platform, the mask unfolding into existence...and newly added were the overlapping feather-scales along her shoulders.
Though she could easily communicate with the ship without the mask...the connection felt...more whole.
She stared at the tiny icons of information to the side and then lifted her gaze. She had to think about the future right now.
"Please search for habitable planets for the humans on this ship as well as distance and time to reach. I also request specifics on the populace of the planet including any strife, if possible."
Zack Asiv said:
"Scanning..."The ship responded... It only took a few seconds of silence with small soft pleasent beeps to keep her company.
"Planet designation, Earth. Condition of populace: Healthy, low amounts of conflict. Due to unknown tampering populace is free of disease, and longevity is at an all time high. Average life span one hundred and forty years. Allied forces of designation Dragons, Leon Sudeki, and "Crows" current status unknown, scans show currently safe."
The ship takes another second.
"Safe planet found. Unknown designation. Enviornment, and fauna livable. No air born viruses or bacteria. Warning: Gravity is slightly stronger, may take adjustment."
Kyrie Blaze said:
"In relation to Earth, how much stronger?" The blonde quietly queries. "Distance from present location?" Zack Asiv said:
"In relation it is one point three-three times stronger. It is approxamitely fifty seven thousand light years from current position." Kyrie Blaze said:
. o O ( How fast can this ship travel? )Kyrie pressed her lips together. "Any other planets?"
Zack Asiv said:
(It'd take like... an hour or two to get there.)"That is the currently closest planet. Others at ninety-four thousand light years already inhabited by hostile life forms."
Kyrie Blaze said:
They were closer to that planet than earth was. Well. If they were in the same direction. "Can you give me any information on those life forms?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Primitive, current technological stage considered 'Dark Ages' by earth standards. Oxygen based, mostly hostile to each other and everything else that lives on their planet." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie sighed. Both places she made note of."Are there others you can find? And can you give me any information on nearby planets holding life and whether they can travel through space?"
She wanted to ensure they wouldn't be threatened for a while.
"The first planet you gave me--the one with increased gravity. What of its inhabitants?"
Zack Asiv said:
"No other locations within reach of species that have reached space travel. The current inhabitants of the undesignated planet are mostly animals. Large by human standards, but clumsy and slow." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie sighed. They could build anew. Be responsible. Not try to tax the planet with ridiculous fossil fuels, but use sustainable energy. WInd, solar... It all seemed very nice, but."Thank you. For now I need to do more scans of earth. Starting with Utah. Can you pinpoint Aaron Blaze's precise location and track his movements?"
Kyrie Blaze said:
"Please continue to track him. Is he with other people? If so, how many?"She would move the tracker to sit with Olesya's. Two small icons.
Zack Asiv said:
"Currently unmoving. Other life forms passing by." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Notify me of any major changes in Aaron as well as Olesya, if you would." Now she had a much more difficult task. "You said David had other family members, but underground. If I were to draw small sections on a map screen, would you be able to search each one to be able to better find where they are by focusing on the whether the...vibrations are stronger, underground or not?" Zack Asiv said:
"Calculating... Affirmative." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Understood. If you would bring up a world map for me?" She paused and tilted her head, considering something. "What size of an area will enable you to effectively search yet not take too long?" Zack Asiv said:
A world map would pop up, it would take a few beepong moments."I can narrow it down to a few thousand miles. Sectioning it off should make the search go faster."
Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie smiled."Yes. But what size of sections will yield the most efficiency in the search?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Two hundred and fifty mile by two hundred and fifty mile sections." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie thought a moment, then nodded to herself."Please begin by scanning the islands on the planet that have that or less for areas. The islands larger than that you can divide by halves or quarters. This will leave me free to mark the land masses and ignore the islands."
So, she would begin to work.
Zack Asiv said:
The ship would begin doing its own work ticking off island after island. Until finally."Match found. Earth classification Tristan Da Cunha. Atlantic Ocean, two of the six volcanic islands hold under ground structures were members of classification: Blaze family are located. Islands known as 'Middle Island', and 'Inaccessible Island'."
Kyrie Blaze said:
That was...surprising. And she was glad to have thought to have the ship search the islands. It made her trying to find them all likely more time consuming than most of her sectioning. She looked at the map and tilted her head.
"Why are they known as such? And are there any other people on them or underground?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Inaccessible Island is named such since there is no landing area for a boat. Middle Island is named such for its positioning. There are no inhabitants on said islands." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie frowned a little before nodding. It wouldn't be a problem for her."Do a scan for any tech on the islands, please."
Zack Asiv said:
"Located. Ancient... Creator technology... Modified. Related to Kaizer project." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Tell me about the Kaizer project. And Creator technology." Zack Asiv said:
"The Kaizer project was the designated name for the experiment of pre-blank creation. They were chosen to have modified cell structure. More similer to Earth's electric eel than a human. They were created to adapt quickly and destroy without mercy. Using the natural electric current to modify the way the Kaizer being thought to be much more aggressive and destructive. They would be dropped onto hostile worlds and left to destroy everything before retrieved. This ship is considered Creator Technology, a biotechnology that grows everything it needs instead of creates from base elements... Humans are considered Creator Technology." Kyrie Blaze said:
...or perhaps it would be a problem."Interesting. The tech on the islands...are they active? And hostile? Or..?"
Zack Asiv said:
"It has been modified. Unknown reason. However the technology is active, but not hostile. Do you wish to communicate with them to find purpose?" Kyrie Blaze said:
"I would, but please protect yourself as we do not know the capabilities these modifications have granted. Can you mask our location?" Zack Asiv said:
"Done." Kyrie Blaze said:
She took a breath...and yet, paused. "I need someone else to be present for validation before we can contact them. In the mean time...I need information on where Olesya is being kept, from structure maps to any information you can possibly find."
Zack Asiv said:
"Scanning... Unknown. Location validated, structure unscannable." Zack Asiv said:
"Connections unknown, validation 'The ARC'. Aurora, Ontario Canada. Classified as a Rehabilitation and Corrections facility... Unknown fluctuation of power. Scanning... The level of energy is equil to a Phase Three Equipment user... Equipment classification 'Mask'." Zack Asiv said:
"Scanning... Olesya's energy signature is constant... the fluctuation is someone else." Zack Asiv said:
"Unable to pinpoint, fluctuation over powering sensors. May prove an issue should it get too close to Olesya." Zack Asiv said:
"Classified." Kyrie Blaze said:
The blonde worked her jaw a little. "What about the Creators?" Zack Asiv said:
"The Creators were a unified group of many species. At war with a new force beyond mapped space. The rest is classified." Kyrie Blaze said:
It was a bit difficult to not be annoyed. She blew out a slow breath and calmed herself."Is there any way you can show me?"
Zack Asiv said:
"You need permission from the Captain to access classified materials." Kyrie Blaze said:
"...the Captain will be in the kolo tank for ten to fifteen years. Unless you need his word directly, I am acting Captain in his absence."She tilted her head. The ship itself had given her that data on when David could safely be revived. She didn't think it had forgotten, but...
Zack Asiv said:
"The perameters set by the Captain are to allow access to functions and certain aspects of knowledge." Kyrie Blaze said:
"I need you to do a scan of the occupants on this ship, then." She sighed, recalling the request Damien made. "E17 mental signature, see if any of the current inhabitants have it." Zack Asiv said:
"Scan shows no life signs with said signature." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Thank you." She tilted her head, considering the map. "Please scan the earth for the same signature." Zack Asiv said:
"Scanning loc-" It went silent except for the beeping."Scanning............ Can not locate."
Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie frowned. "Why did you cut out, there..?" Zack Asiv said:
"The signature popped up, but immediately vanished... As if it knew it had been located." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Interesting. Where did the signature pop up?" Zack Asiv said:
"Germany." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Do you happen to know where, or was that as close to locating him as you got?" Zack Asiv said:
"Thats as close as I got." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie leaned her weight onto one leg."Can you track Strike's whereabouts without him picking up on you?"
Zack Asiv said:
"I can not do pin point tracking without being detected." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Hmm, okay. What kind of tracking could you do with no detection?" Zack Asiv said:
"I can break it down to a five mile radius." Kyrie Blaze said:
"That's fine, then. Can you tell me approximately where he is, right now, using that method?" Zack Asiv said:
"Currently around the vicinity of Canyon Lake in Arizona." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Tell me when he moves out of that vicinity and the direction he's headed, if you will." She brought a map up of the area and pondered. "...is there anything in this area he might be looking for?"Of course there was the possibiltiy he was just returning to California.
Zack Asiv said:
"Scanning... The entirety of Canyon Lake's chemicle make up has been changed to the same fluid we use in the kolo tanks for augmentation and healing... I believe human scientists call it Embriotic Fluid." Kyrie Blaze said:
"...well that does not sound good. Can you tell me what is in the fluid..? Or will that alert Strike?" Zack Asiv said:
"The only thing I can scan without alerting my presence is that it is only just slightly smaller than me." Kyrie Blaze said:
"...could it be another ship, I wonder..?"She worried her bottom lip. Or was it something else? Should she chance infiltration?
"Are there any other places of similar nature on earth right now..?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Scanning..." Some beeps. "Negative, hacked records report this is a long time prepared scientific project." Kyrie Blaze said:
The blonde clicked her tongue, thoughtful and yet concerned. "How effectively can you mask your presence and location?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Potential complete invisibility." Kyrie Blaze said:
"How much does it drain you to do so?" Zack Asiv said:
"It would require the majority of my concentration. I would not be able to do other activities such as fast travel, or using weapons." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Thank you." There was no need for it right now. "So if I had you fly down and drop me out in the sky and return to this position, would you be able to keep in contact with me? There are still people I need to retrieve on Earth." Zack Asiv said:
"Affirmative. You could take a drop pod, and return the same way. If I may suggest." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie blinked. "What is the capacity of the drop pod..?" Zack Asiv said:
"At maximum four." Kyrie Blaze said:
"...and would one need a mask to control them?" Zack Asiv said:
"Controls can be outfitted if the need arises." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Interesting... How many pods do we have and what are their capabilities?" Zack Asiv said:
"Drop pods currently are used primarily for small troop transportation. We have five functional drop pods. They are able to travel at three hundred miles per hour, change direction instantly, and use the same invisibility feature as me. They run completely silent, as they were used as monitoring stations in secrecy." Zack Asiv said:
"All five ships can be finished within an hour." Kyrie Blaze said:
"If you would prep them, that would be excellent. How easily can they be concealed once they're on the ground? Chances are likely I will need to leave the pod in some cases." Zack Asiv said:
"They can be set to a hiding mode that keeps them invisible when not in operation." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Good." She turned her attention back to the map with eyes that searched along it. When she went to get Olesya, either Damien or Einrik would take a second, just in case. There was no way she could transport the Colossi, though. When she managed to stumble upon them in Brazil Hyperion had just brought in a couple hundred more to swell his numbers."What can you tell me about the masks?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Classified." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie narrowed her eyes. Fine, if she had to go about things that way..."What are the other topics that are classified?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Nothing." Kyrie Blaze said:
The blonde shook her head, not entirely pleased David had locked down so much pertinent information and that it was likely they wouldn't get to know it for ten to fifteen years."What about my mask, in particular?"
Zack Asiv said:
"..."There would be beeping.
"I am torn between what is allowed and the fact it is information about your very own equipment."
Kyrie Blaze said:
A slow smile curved her lips. That was precisely the point."Is there any way for me to safely work with the mask and...learn on this ship, if you deign to not tell me?"
Zack Asiv said:
"There is a training facility where you can safely practice on your own. I do not believe giving advice however would be breaking the classification rule." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie nodded."I know that I defeated both Alpha and Omega in gaining it."
So there was that.
"What advice do you have to give me..?"
Zack Asiv said:
"So you have passed that step. Gaining supremecy over the personality within the mask's own being is a priority. Once they work for you they will slowly work with you."Do not however be afraid to delve into the power the mask has to offer. If it wishes to share energy do so, or if you want to use only its power do so. A scan shows your mask has the ability to bring life to that which has passed. In the training facility is stored near a thousand dead expirements kept in stasis for example and study. Now deamed useless. I suggest practice."
Kyrie Blaze said:
"There was and even is a certain caution, being that both Alpha and Omega had connections to Barker, and thus to Strike." She tilted her head. "This mask...does it make me a target over and above those without, or am I more of a non-threat due to it?"She could see it being more of the former, considering she had turned one of Strike's generals into one that listened to her, instead.
Zack Asiv said:
"It would make you a target. The Equipment is not easily made, so as of now there are only Thirteen in existence." Kyrie Blaze said:
She nodded."...can you create masks..?"
Was that why Strike wanted to destroy the ship?
Zack Asiv said:
"... That... Was one of the functions of the foundry. This is classified information..." Kyrie Blaze said:
Kyrie tilted her head. It seemed the ship would answer direct questions, at least somewhat."What is the foundry, then?"
Zack Asiv said:
"The primary function of this ship was research and development. The Foundry is where I create everything and anything the Crew desire. From technology to food and resources." Kyrie Blaze said:
Very interesting. So then the Foundry would be on the ship as well."What kind of research and development?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Military, Blank production and augmentation. This ship spent thousands of years creating life designed by The Creators. From Humans and fish, to Dinosaurs and vegetation." Kyrie Blaze said:
So she wouldn't need to retrieve seeds or plant cuttings, then."...blank production and augmentation..? What do you mean? Or was it what you said following that?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Blank is the designation of a Human who has not yet been augmented. Augmentation is the completion of a humans DNA to give them the ability to transform into a battle form."The ship would show an image of one of the Midgard soldiers going from the base form to the battle form.
"This is the true purpose of the human race."
Kyrie Blaze said:
"..."Well, didn't that make their lives seem incredibly...worthless, in a sense. Irrelevant. Insignificant. It wasn't necessarily that each individual had a purpose, but that they all had a generalized purpose.
It was depressing.
She released a slow exhale.
"I see. What other information on this can you give me..?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Humans were created to be weapons, soldiers of the highest caliber able to live in almost every condition and if not adapt in a few generations. Height of problem solving, and body structure. The meaning was to have completed Augments fight the wars for the Creators. First attempts at this kind of life form however was considered a failure. Dinosaurs were very powerful, but very clumsy, and not very smart. They died if the enviornment didn't suit them. So the idea of creating a base or Blank creature that could be givin the capability to turn into any prepared form for specific jobs was born, more specifically Humans." Zack Asiv said:
"Strike was created after Augmenting was easy. His purpose was to be the leader of the Augmented Race. Unlike humans he was born a very powerful augment, and given the ability to take a more human form. So in a sense he was the reverse of a Blank. He was born the physical age he is now and will remain so until he is destroyed. His true name is Arkeus." Kyrie Blaze said:
"Interesting..."Kyrie sighed. Both places she made note of.
"Are there others you can find? And can you give me any information on nearby planets holding life and whether they can travel through space?"
She wanted to ensure they wouldn't be threatened for a while.

For now I need to do more scans of earth. Starting with Utah. Can you pinpoint Aaron Blaze's precise location and track his movements?"
Zack Asiv said:
"Scanning... Found. Showing location now."Up would pop a tracker on a three dimensional map.
Kyrie Blaze said:
"Please continue to track him. Is he with other people? If so, how many?"She would move the tracker to sit with Olesya's. Two small icons.
Zack Asiv said:
"Currently unmoving. Other life forms passing by." Kyrie Blaze said:
