She turned her head with a raised eyebrow.
"I've been a silent audience for the past four days. But, anyone with a home that's good to them would miss it. Can't exactly blame her." She slid her head back to its former position, not wanting to risk a cramp. "I suppose I can't really go on about how much I miss home, for the most part. Bonus points for you."

She stood and walked to his broken and open fridge....to grab a beer. He would walk back to the chair and sit. He took a drink.
"Its not the talking. She never talks about...well."
He took a deep breath. Then he shook his head.
"Never mind. Where are you from?"

The woman closed her eyes after glancing at his beer and shrugged as he said nevermind. She would, then. It wasn't any of her business, truly.
"Seattle. Down here on business."
Looks like she gave him a bit of a freebie, for that. Truly, she said it to stall any other question along the line. He likely wouldn't ask what for, she didn't think.
"You seem to have a knack with animals." She smirked. "Even if I'm really not one, it's there. Lifelong talent?"

Of course he would ask. Her eyes rolled beneath closed eyelids.
"Finding my brother. Sounds cliché, but it is what it is."
Chances are he'd ask because one plus one didn't add up to two. But she left it and didn't elaborate.
"What you said about living on the streets is true." She knew firsthand. But she just left it as a statement. "Befriend any other wild animals over the years? A dragon and a cougar don't sound half-bad."
It sounded utterly ridiculous. But she liked it.

He took another swig, shrugging with his left shoulder.
"Had a dog, eight months ago or so. Before Scarlet. Strikes men put him down when they took me."
He wasn't too inclined to talk about it.
"Whats happened to your brother? Why is he here?"
This felt like a game of twenty questions but....he didnt really mind it.

Her brow furrowed. Dogs were good companions. Useful, too. The question of her brother made her frown, brow creasing a little bit.
"I sent him down here for scouting. Amtrum hadn't been in Seattle for a while, but resistance groups should have some sort of ties." If they wanted to survive, it couldn't be dog eat dog. Her tone shifted from interested neutrality to stone. "But the Dragons themselves are nowhere to be found, anyway, and there's no sign of Teague. Either he's spent too much time as a cat and forgot who he is, or he's captured, or dead."
