The Offer

"Well Cliff I do agree the idea of giving the people who are normally pushed around a chance to keep themselves safe. I'm not sure how they would handle the results of their training. Keep in mind the people you are wanting me to train are people who have very little on their minds besides their studies and getting revenge." He said pausing to sip his tea. He then laced his fingers putting his elbows on the table and resting his chin on the back of his hands and fully directed his piercing gaze nto Cliff's eyes.

"I will not jion your gang. Not out of any reason besides I refuse to be part of a group. I'm willing to train them but only on one condition.... I have full say in how the lessons go with anyone that is to be trained by myself. They have to know why we are doing this. I refuse to teach anyone who would only use the skills I teach them to lash out. I've been taught how to properly use my abilities. Anyone I teach will have to be willing to do the same." He said then leaned back seperating his hands and grabbing the cup taking another sip. His lack of asking if Cliff was okay with the terms and the finality in his tone during that last bit made it clear the terms were not negotaible in any way.

"How ever I do agree with the overall concept of your plan if it went through the way it is ment to." He said with a much more casul pleasent tone and a small smile.
"Not many as strong as you are willing to do such a thing. Most just figure they are bigger and badder than others so they'de rather just shove them around."

Leaning back in his chair with a small sign of relief Cliff then place his right hand n his right pocket and pulled out his gang emblem from his pocket. Placing it on the table Cliff then said with a relax smile, “That is good to hear. My gang is an open membership gang meaning almost anyone is able to join, but I will be hosting some events where you will need this to pass.”

Flipping over the red emblem Cliff then added, “This red on is an overseers emblem and will give you the power to visit me as well as use any of resource I have available to the entire gang. Take it if you want, but the only thing I ask of you now is to evaluate and train those I send you.”

Jyo reached out and grabbed the emblem looking it over for a second.
"Well if it lets me help you out a bit I'll take it." He said putting it in his pocket then taking another sip of his tea.
"But I'll let you know right now that the moment I don't feel like this is a good thing anymore I'm out." He said still being friendly but making it clear he was serious.
"So is there anything else I need to know. perhapes who I am training and when.

With a smile Cliff said calmly, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Taking a sip from his drink Cliff listen to Jyo about his other concern about who he is going to train. Slowly putting his cup down Cliff replied slowly, “I will send those that I think are up for your training to you. Also I invite you to come to the head quarters anytime you want to observe the people training. You can pick anyone of them to train if you should choose to.

"Well the offer seems good for the time being. I'll make sure to show up at your HQ during your first meeting. When and where is it?' he asked wanting to close up the more buisness part of this meeting and get back to relaxing a bit more to finish the tea then go home and plan times to train the people in Cliff's gang.

With a small sigh of relief at postive outcome Cliff then reached in his pocket and grabbed out a pen and a small scrape of paper. Laying the paper on the table and taking off the pen cap Cliff then wrote as he dictated, "Ok the first meeting is this Friday, at 9 'o'clock pm at Dock D 24."

Looking up Cliff then handed Jyo the note and said with a salm smile, "Here you go. It shouldn't be to hard to find the warehouse."

Jyo took the note and pocketed it.
"Not hard at all I know the place. Haven't really been down there though." He said with a small smile and internally chuckled at the way Cliff was responding. He clearly had been truly wanting Jyo's help. Jyo wasn;t sure why. Cliff knew the type of fighter Jyo was but not much else. Jyo had no reputation here. He found it odd that someone would seek him out. But he decided not to let it bother him.

After Jyo had accepted his note Cliff’s cell phone then went off again with a text message from June. Not looking too surprise Cliff quickly grabbed his phone and flipped it open to read his message. With a satisfy grin Cliff quickly sent another text message to June reading, He’s in, and be there in a few.

Slipping his cell phone back into his pocket Cliff then said in a light tone, “Well it seems like I am needed back else where at the moment.”

Pulling out his wallet Cliff then went through it and mumble, “Ok here it is fifteen dollars. This should more then cover everything.”

Placing it on the table Cliff then raised his right hand towards Jyo as if to shake it and looked him straight in the eyes and said, “Well wish me luck, I have a job interview at the new mega club.”

Jyo briefly shook Cliff's hand a gave a nod.
"Well good luck then. Haivng a source of income is nice. I'll see you in Friday." He said pulling a few doolars out as well figureing that since Cliff payed for this Jyo would at least pay the tip.
