Personality:

Mai is the epitome of the careless LA youth. She appears to be fairly self centered and absorbed as well. She's always glued to her phone when not being yelled at by a teacher for being glued to said phone. The girl appears to be ignorant to the world around her, but in reality, Mai is very aware of her surroundings at all times. The girl is quick to notice small details and events around her before others might even realize what's going on.

The reason Mai appears to careless to others is due to the fact that the girl bores easily. She seems to be spoiled by her constant connection to the internet that's always updating. Real life apparently isn't as entertaining as her twitter feed. Aside from becoming bored easily with real life, Mai finds herself lacking any sort of patience in regards to those around her. She will tell others exactly how she feels when she feels it. There is no censor on the girl.

The only things that seem to entertain and animate the girl are the mall, fashion and electronics. Otherwise, Mai appears bored and annoyed. Of course, she isn't just constantly bored. A large part of why she appears the way she does is due to her not being completely aware of how to express herself. Having grown up in a rather frigid household, Mai has difficulties expressing herself in ways that aren't crude or insulting. Mai isn't as callous as she appears.

Mentality:

Mai is pessimistic at best. At worse, she'll tear apart any good idea or day with small details. The girl stays extremely realistic in her mentality. She'll try to get things done as quickly as possible if only to just get it over with.

History Information

History:

Mai is the adopted daughter of two wealthy individuals. She is originally from Vietnam, which is why her first name appears to be fairly foreign. Her adoption was a seemingly political play to gain more support for the family. As such, while she was always given everything she asked for, Mai's life was devoid of any real affection for the most part. This was a running theme in her life as she grew and grew.

Her parents always pushed for her to take extracurricular. They mostly did it so they could brag about their talented daughter. So, when Mai was in elementary school, they forced her into piano lessons. However, in middle school, Mai dropped the lessons and took up martial arts to rebel against her parents. The plan backfired when the local news did a story on how important self defense was for young ladies using her as an example. So, by the time Mai hit high school, she seemed to give up. She slowly slid into her current state of apathy towards the world.

In her freshman year of high school, Mai got involved with a group of cyber terrorists in LA through an older boyfriend. She was linked to some of their crimes in her junior year of high school. Her parents managed to hush up any public knowledge of this information, but her school still transferred her to the newly built PHS # 259 for troubled youths.
