Emily was in the Pillars office, sitting on the couch watching the old boob tube. Taking a long drink of the grape soda, she let out a little burp before checking her phone.
It was almost two.
Violet seemed innocent. Desiring to make an impression. Friendly. Emily needed someone like that. Someone to do what needed to be done.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me 1:45
Violet would glower at her watch pacing out in front of the Pillar's office back and forth taking her time to make an entrance. Whilst she was always prompt she knew that it played as an often looked down upon double edged sword for most student's their age and whilst it was conceivable that Emily wasn't that type of person Vi was aiming to be on time... exactly on time. Tapping away at her watch as though it would spurn the minutes faster time seemed as though it would go on forever. 1:59 God she'd waited long enough. Stomping in she'd part the doors to meet Emily sitting on the couch watching tv. In a stealthy attempt Vi would sneak into the kitchen and quickly snake herself a soda herself prompting her to round the corner like a suave smooth cool kid and lean up against the outer wall and pop the soda cap.
Fssssst
"Sup?"

Emily was facing away from the door, but she could still hear it open and close- so when Violet opened the soda and spoke, the Captain would raise her left arm and wave Violet forward. She'd take another drink and look to the girl quietly.
"Magnus is gone. You're my new First Pillar. Congrats."
She look another drink.
"I want you to cozy up to the SHCP Captain. I want you to join the SHCP and report to me everything they do- in secret. You'll still be a Pillar, but you'll be my eyes and ears within that gang. And when I tell you, you'll take my side."
She would stare at Violet.
"You understand, I'm giving you this assignment not just as a Captain- but I'm giving you trust. That you won't get so close you think betraying me would be fortuitous. And trust as my First Pillar- to do what is necessary for the protection of the people in this school, not just to further your gains or mine."

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me There would be a wave as her position was revealed. An overeager Violet would carry herself to the couch bringing herself over the back edges and leaning forward as she deemed herself fairly comfortable with peers who she shared a position with as she'd expressed with Emily on yet another occasion. Slouching over the back of the couch and putting her weight into it she'd lean forward hands and head close enough to Emily to hear loud and clear. Seems that she'd gotten a promotion as the first pillar. Cool, she'd never had expected herself to be fitting into those shoes much less the fact that Magnus had left them. A subtle frown would show her distress as the girl wasn't the best at hiding her emotions although in the end it meant she wouldn't be tripping over herself over nothing.
As for the mission. Emily seemed to be asking Violet to spy on the new Captain, Stevie was it? She honestly didn't get a name just word of mouth; however Emily went on and the more she spoke the more Vi leaned in to a point there was no turning back. Head over heels the girl would flip forward over the seat landing on the flat of her ass on the floor looking rather boggled however on the plus side... not a drip spilled.
"Saved it!" She'd exclaim in victory before turning back to Emily with a grin. Violet certainly heard her despite her appearance of rudeness regarding her captains rant. Thing was Violet wasn't the sort to do that, she'd committed to this role and much less she didn't foresee any need to invade Stevie's new role.
"I don't know why you'd assume that?" Vi would look to her with concerned features. "I mean," Violet would gulp down a blurb of the soda composing herself a bit. "Why do you assume she or for what its worth anyone is out to get you?" Through furrowed brows Violet would stare back into Emily hoping for some soul searching shit right about now.

Emily ran a hand through her hair, trying to ignore the clear emotion coming from Vi.
"There is more to this school than the students realize. I suspect that the SHCP are the arm of the faculty, meant to cull any insubordination on the part of the populace and even the Pillars. Eventually, we'll get in the way of one another. Not just that but....the history of 259 is far more fuzzy than anyone knows. Asiv, the Administrator, used to be School Captain years ago. He was taken by the Correctional Facility- which just happens to have a similar name to our correctional police."
She pulled a DVD out of her pocket and handed it to Violet.
"Stick that in the DVD player and lock the door to the office. Then sit with me."

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Emily would see fit to ignore the bulk of the questions that Violet was asking or rather just not answering how she'd wanted. Idly somewhere in Violet's mind she'd imagined Emily's hard exterior crumbling down and the pair bonding over some sushi or something later, idle fantasies to be set aside for another day. Soon Emily we will 'bro out' just you wait. Violet would make her little promise in silence mock glaring at her whilst the information was exchanged and absorbed. A part of her didn't want to believe it, the fact that a student body would create two parties to wage against one another only to have one have unadulterated power over everything despite the prospect of 'fairness' dished out.
Vi would grimace silently a moment as the dvd was given to her. Slow to rise she'd insert the disk turning round to lock the door and return to her seat mimicking the exact way she'd plopped down once again this time in a swifter rendition.
"Even still... I don't think that this Stevie girl would fold... I mean.." Violet would hesitate with that response remembering how swiftly the sweet girl had kneed that boy after a surrender, the words exchanged that a future enemy was to be removed with further violence. Vi would bite her lip in silence patient to watch as she wore a worried expression all the while concerned for her new future of intrigue.

Emily would pick up the remote and pause the DVD before it started.
"It five seconds of talking with that girl I knew- she's impressionable. Modifiable. Easy to manipulate. She's perfect for that Captain because she's got all the brawn with enough brains to follow orders. I'm not paranoid- things have happened here we just don't yet understand. Watch."
She pressed play.
It would appear to be a seemingly old video as the date on the bottom was around ten years ago.
A man in a grey suit with slicked back blonde hair and a sweet looking goatee would be standing on a podium.
"Welcome students, I am Mr. Dimir. I will be this schools Supervisor over looking the elected Pillar System, along with #260, #552, #1368, #312, and many others. So we will bring up your School Captain Zack Asiv to elect his first P-"
The video jumps to another date about a week later. It fades in on a young Asiv training with a young Victor Kaar, they seem really into the fight, but laughing as if they were just playing. The video jumps quickly flashing a scene of someone wearing a white tank top covered in blood screaming, before flashing to a new date, showing Asiv and someone else with a black cloth face mask covering the lower half of his face visiting a hospitalized Victor. He seems conscious and laughing while they talk shit about the fight he was in. It flashes to the date of the riot, Asiv is being held down as some sort of odd injector is put over his right eye, spraying an odd red mist into it. It glows red soon after and the camera is slapped to the side as he lets out a scream. The video ends.
Emily ejected the DVD.
"I've checked our files in the archives- Dimirs name pops up a dozen times, as does this correctional facility that Asiv was sent to. I fought Asiv- the guy is a tank. Fast, strong, and single minded. I don't trust him- but I trust the dean and the hall police even less. They have the same authority we do and more- they can skip detentions, they can bring people down simply because they were given orders to....the Pillars operate as a student run method of protection and control. These guys are just slaves to the faculty. And if Asiv or the dean give the order, the law gives the students the right to perform the action."
She took another drink.
"If we don't get friendly with them, they'll be ordered to bring us down. And one of us might end up like Asiv there- on the ground, with injections to deal with."

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet would keep to herself still fretting in a momentary silence. The girl wanted to see the good in people and that much went for Stevie as well, the move that she made was out of line but Violet saw the guilt she expressed, the momentary lapse of judgment in a fight could be crippling if left to fester long term and she sought to right that action in time. Before long the video began playing flashes and lapses in time all jumbled in a way that Violet had yet to understand entirely, though it appeared very stressful she could hardly relate to it as in her mind the time was long past, an archaic relic that they were better than. Only delving into these dark designs would they find themselves trespassing in their forefather's footprints. Still a silent grimace as she promised to herself, she would confront Stevie by one means or another and get to the bottom of this if somehow this girl was involved in a dark plot Violet would take on the challenge of saving her fellow student after all that was her job...no her calling.
"I don't understand, what do they hope to achieve here? Asiv is already head of the school and that other guy..." Violet would pause using her hand to sort of make a silhouette image of him in the air blanking as to his name. "Are they just playing some sort of sick game?"
Her eyes would follow the video remembering that the pair had been laughing awful chummy despite constant fluctuations of violence. It would almost as if this rehabilitation school was something else entirely something that turned people into beasts... sadists.

Emily would turn the TV off, twisting in her seat to look Violet in the eye.
"That's my point. I don't know- I don't think the school as a project is really their aim. I think they have goals for the student populace. This place is not powerful- but our vast growth potential is startling. Not only that, but whatever plans they do have, who would care? Outside these walls we're criminals. Nobody cares what happens to us in here."
She realized she had been speaking....way too much. She chewed her lip a moment.
"I need you to keep this secret, and delve into that police force for me. Will you do it?"

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me She would frown. It was the truth after all, this was by all accords a correctional facility meant to rehabilitate but even if that were the case the students within these walls rehabilitated or otherwise were considered for lack of a better word scum. Despite their differences Violet could see the point that Emily was trying to make, coming to nod silently keeping mostly to herself for but a moment as she'd silently agree to the terms. Her job here after all was to look after the student body and if they were at risk she'd lay down everything at her disposal and if that meant she'd need to coddle up to a threat it would have to inevitably be done.
"Of course Em." Violet would mouth a little somber however light would catch her features and the frown would change its direction peaking upright. "I'm here to look out for all of us after all," Violet would pause making to move upright to a stand and move her free hand out offered plainly. "That means you too hard ass. If you need anything... anything at all even just to talk I'm here." She would offer up a candid grin blinking really quick as though it were her way of changing masks from serious to childish and sporadic yet again.
Violets body would leap over the couch excitably and ready to tussle into her new secret mission. She was after all a pillar, agent of the school, fearless warrior of all, ready to throw down at a moments notice; that's when she'd remembered. "Oh hey Em, I still owe you a beat down." The girl would jest offering a wink and a cheers of her drink silently in the air.

Emily gave the smallest of smiles and took her hand, giving it a little shake. She turned and sank back into the couch, bringing an arm up to the back and resting it there as she turned the TV back on. As Violet spoke, Em would hold up her almost-empty soda in salute, as though to toast to the idea of her getting a beat down.
"Looking forward to it."
And with that, she assumed Violet would head out.
OOC: I'll leave you with the closing post!

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet wouldn't know if it was her nonchalance or Emily's mission that made her stomach squirm in that instance but she'd render the smile on her face muted before sneaking her way back out of the pillar room and make her way out towards what she was fairly certain was the SHCP lounge hoping to get all this dirtiness out of the way with, her gut telling her that it was wrong to treat her peers with such mistrust but reminded that it was only preliminary. Caution thrown to the wind by distrust worthy staff.

After the door swung closed, Emily crunched the can.
Good....pieces were moving.
Time for the Queens to meet.
