EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet would safetly retrieve her novella turning quietly to the other boy here with a silent bob of her head finally taking the moment to acknowledge him entirely. "Sorry about that, I'm Violet. But just call me Vi." She'd respond humbly, it was a keen bit of her nature to treat everyone as if they had their own little part to play in this story. His response.... Did he just Haiku at her?
She'd tilt her head uncomfortably before forming her features into a strict grin waving idly at him with a judgmental finger. "Did you just Haiku at me?! You must love books too!" Violet would chime in rather chipper over Emily's tone being some what of her good cop to Emily's bad cop.

OOC: Given the two posts, going to respond in the logical chronological order. Please let me know if I'm incorrect! Before he could utter his apology, the blue-haired girl introduced herself. Violet. 'Vi.' Easy and pleasant name to remember. He returned the nod, and then would go into his aforementioned apology. Richard would then finish setting the books, even as Vi would tilt her head at him and then finish sweeping, even as Emily crossed her arms to look at him, finally asking what he was actually here for. He nodded, as though silently asking for a moment as he dust-panned the last of the debris into a nearby trashcan in the kitchen. Putting away the broom and dustpan to where he had seen Emily pull them out from, Richard patted off his hands, mouth ready to respond when Vi cut off his thoughts. It prompted a rare, involuntarily smile. Good cop, bad cop indeed, while Emily was understandably distrustful, Richard seemed to be pulled into Vi's friendly flow easily. "Sci-fi, Fantasy," he confirmed to her, staring upward a little wistfully. Tolkien. The Sphere. Things of the like. The smile would disappear as he would nod again, deliberately closing and opening his eyes to change modes "To ask for your help. "I want to improve the school, "Student-Run Cafe."He would go back to where he had left his leather satchel by the door and bring it with him, before popping it open before the two Student Hierarchy people. Richard would then hand over the copy of notes he had handed over to Mr. Asiv, along with the notes he worked on with the Supervisor. In short, he would show Emily and Vi his proposition to the Supervisor to open a Student-Run Cafe AND Spa. To challenge the cooking, baking, and hair stylist students, how they would receive training by shadowing and having visiting Supervisors from real restaurants come over. How the goal was to improve the overall standing of PHS #259 in the view of the public while teaching students real life work experiance and providing a safe opportunity to acquire and experience hourly wages. How... it would have to be run professionally, as Richard's promise to Mr. Asiv. How they would uphold the protection and safety of the Cafe and its customers (whether they be students or public customers visiting the school) by emphasizing on catering to well-behaved, studious students... and the presence of the Student Hierarchy and its Pillars (of course with the incentive of discounts or freebies thrown in). All the details in full could be of course read in the notes and documents he provided. A place to enjoy tea or coffee and cute little sandwiches in peace. A place to study in the maelstrom of PHS #259. The young Englishman stared at them with confidence and ambition. A way for Mr. Stock to leave his mark and leave the school a better place by the time he graduated. "So, I need your help," he repeated, with a gracious nod at the two... without even knowing who was the pillar and who was the Student Captain.

Emily took the notes, reading the first bit and turning away to walk further into the office. Richard would get his answer on the Pillars pecking order, the back of her sweater having the white "CAPTAIN" text glossed onto it. She did that with purpose- she wanted to make sure students knew who to come to if there was trouble. And she'd sure as hell hate it if her enemies had difficulty finding her. Reading over the notes, she would finish and look back to Richard.
"Seems like a good idea. But how can we help?"
She had some small idea- a sort of personal security for the place. That was the only assumption to be made- the hierarchy wasn't exactly like a gang in it's desires for power. They were already given it. Their ideals were supposed to be oriented toward student protection, an altruism Emily fashioned the group to possess. They had to, with what she'd seen happening at other schools.
She'd hand off the notes to Violet, if she wanted them.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Vi would fuddle with her stack of books forming them in a neat order from largest to smallest resting safely at the top, despite this there were a number of novellas that hung askew from her perfect OCD ordered system. With a casual grin to his response as to the genre he'd preferred Violet gave a gleeful squeal of delight prompting her stack atop one of the idle counters and drawing from it a small manuscript that'd clearly been worn in some years. The cover read "Ender's Game" a story that denoted something of similar fashion to their own position in many ways despite that the book was beautifully colored. Its edges had a great deal of wear and coffee stains to adorn it but it was all in all still quite legible.
"If you're interested, this is one of my favorites." She'd offer the book out in an extended arm suddenly giving no look of requited approval from Emily, she had descended into her own little world again. "Feel free to borrow it, I'll be around her most afternoons when you're finished." A straightforward grin from cheek to cheek before the conversation carried onto business and Violet's gleeful mood compressed into one of mock focus though his Haikus would bring her right back into the fold.
"You had me at Cafe!" Her hand open and at the ready as Emily tossed the little notes off into her grasp and Violet quick to study them. She had no real background in this sort of thing but if it meant that she'd have some place to run off to other than the cafeteria she was absolutely for it. Then again, a moment of hesitance perked her attention, if anything it was liable to become yet another battleground... And then her peaceful meals would be through!!! NOOO!!!

Richard remained where he was, nodding to Vi's squeal as he spoke about the certain genres he liked, crossing his arms with his hands clasped in front of him in a resting position, much like a butler awaiting his next orders.
Richard's eyes looked to Vi, who had gone to the stacks of books and watched her... pull something out from them.
He raised a brow.
Vi introduced the book and Richard peered over, past the stains to read the title "Ender's Game"---something that had been on his long list of things to read. His eyes widened and he stepped forward, stretching out both arms to accept it carefully.
"You have my thanks, Vi," he would nod thankfully.
An invitation to visit the Pillar Office regularly for reading? How could he refuse a magnanimous offer?
He switched to stare after Emily after he had said his schtick about the Student-Run Cafe and Spa as she walked further into the office, his eyes not failing to notice on her jacket the white-fonted "CAPTAIN" on the back... therein answering his question about her, at least. Vi, on the other hand, was still an enigma, ranging from being anyone of the three titled Pillar positions to just a close personal friend of Emily's. But never did the Englishman ask outright in this moment on purpose, lest he be rude... at least not in this setting, not now.
And as luck would have it, context was provided... if slightly.
When Emily finally turned around to ask what she could or would do in said proposition, the young Englishman nodded simply.
"Just by being there."
Not always. He hoped she would pick up on that implied statement. But having the Student Hierarchy maintain some patrol that included the cafe would serve as a powerful deterrence. For the number of years that the Student Hierarchy, the Pillar System had been in place in U.S., the other countries had been watching. Some criticizing, others encouraging... and some, like himself, transferring those applicable. The position, the title of "Student Captain," of "Pillar," held weight and power. It meant that said titled individuals held the strength to maintain order in the most primal fashion.
While not infallible, Richard Stock had faith in their influence and capabilities. There was a reason for Emily and Vi being where they were, for which he had not been present for. He was not in a position to question otherwise, being a new transfer.
And to Vi...
"I am very glad, thanks," he would nod again appreciatively.
As there was no table, he would sit on the freshly cleaned ground cross-legged and pull his satchel up to him, pulling out a paper and pen, before placing it on the satchel for support. He began scribbling furiously for further and quickened exposition... ---The points would of course be redundant, but just to keep it open, as Richard would stand up, he would offer the paper and pen to Emily or Vi to read... and perhaps to add notes of their own.
As for the rest... that would be up to Richard and however much influence Mr. Asiv permitted him.
A chance to work and to make it work.

Emily would stick her hands in the pockets and stare down at the boy. She, of course, would have to take him up on the offer lest he go to the SHCP for protection instead. Of course, he could do that anyway, which brought her to her agreement.
"We can offer you protection, if that's what you're looking for. In return, don't ask the SHCP for assistance with it. We'll be more than enough."
Assuming he accepted the offer, she would nod and look to Vi. She'd bring out a hand and crook her finger for the lady to step over and walk a little ways away from Rich to talk, her hand resting gently. Her voice was low, intent to make sure the kid couldn't hear.
"I want you to watch him, and study him. Give him a few tests. He may have a role in our Pillarship, if her turns out okay."
They had a role to fill, after all.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet having reserved herself to the other room would rearrange her pile of books moving them across the room into her locker trying to be as swift as possible to return to the conversation once again, this time walking in on the boy cross-legged on the floor and as far as she could tell rather comfortable with the arrangement as odd as it was. His actions would prompt a slight smile to crack upon her face luckily enough self control was mustered to refrain from laughing a little bit all the same she'd incline to Emily's prompting and follow her aside and lend ear to her notions. A bit of guilt formed in her gut, another spy mission. Violet was beginning to feel a sense of unease with these sort of things and worse yet she worried for Emily's well being, something in her past must have really hurt the girl to have these sort of emotions riling up inside of her this sense of mistrust. Even still the was a silver lining to this result, she was looking to recruit. He seemed harmless enough, Violet would mentally note looking back at the boy with a grin offering Emily a similar expression.
"So what you're saying is I get to patrol the cafe, get free food, and chat up this cutie-pie?" Violet would cackle at the question she'd prompt and merely offer Emily a goofy affirming grin. "If only every job could be like this."

Assuming he accepted the offer.
Assuming he accepted the offer.
Richard felt Emily's scrutinizing eyes go down him... and then she spoke.
Something, in Richard's eyes, of an ultimatum. Emily offered exactly what he wanted... and then threw it back in his face. Clearly, she didn't read the notes of the requirements that Mr. Asiv had placed on him. And for the first time since taking on the assigned task for the Supervisor... Richard felt like Mr. Asiv had planned this task for him on purpose. But to what end?
He didn't know if their goals coincided, but Richard knew to what end he wished this debacle to end.
The Freshman didn't freeze unnaturally. Just gradually, without saying anything, without nodding, he listened to Emily.
And perhaps by that silence, Emily would take that as his admission and then take Vi to the other room, where they would discuss there things in private, away from Richard's listening ears.
Richard went over his words and hers. Accepting Emily's proposal meant that the Cafe would not exist, not unless she went to Mr. Asiv himself and managed to override him. But that wasn't something he could count on... nor were his experiences with Stevie a bad one.
Whether she stayed in the room or left and then would come back, Richard would stand up, satchel slung over his left shoulder, comfortably.
He would point out to her with his right hand, a ferocity in his eyes.
"Go out with me, once."

Emily, after they came back over, looked down at the one Violet thought was a "cutie-pie" and frowned. He wanted her to go out with him? Where? Like, to the store or something? She reached up and scratched her head, woefully unaware of both the predicament she put him in and in that he seemed to mean he wanted a date with her. She had only skimmed his plans for the cafe, after all- she didn't look at the requirements.
On top of that, nobody was ever interested in Emily before now, and she had no spare brainpower for the idea of dating. She figured he must be trying to get in her good graces.
"Okay. Where?"
She was rather nonchalant about it, her eyes never leaving the tiny males for a second. She would keep her hands at her side, not paying any attention to Violet for the moment while she tried to figure this guy out.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Going out!?!?
Violet fought the urge to squeal loudly in front of both of them, clearly being the only one between the pair exchanging any sort of emotion from the context of the conversation as either party was too cool. However Violet played out a similar story in her head one of two fated lovebirds concealing their deep emotions for one another but never letting the world take from them that passion. Tears welling up in her eyes Violet would coil up behind the pair and hold her breath for the responses to play out between them.
She was a fly on the wall intent to see this all play out although not too stealth or coy about it hankering over the pair intently staring them down. Violet would have to fill Melanie in on this juicy gossip!

From just outside his peripherals, Violet seemed to be going into her own world as she stared so happily---bloody hell, Violet was almost blinding in her happiness. Richard, however, would stare back only into Emily's piercing eyes. Anything else would be the heights of impoliteness. The air of confidence surprisingly around the short boy, not bothered at all by the difference in height. His expression softened and his eyes lingering.
After all, it wasn't as though Emily wasn't a lovely girl. Just rough around the edges. Just like everyone else.
"Just outside of school, "Sunday, 12 o' clock. Don't eat. "Wear something comfy."
Richard had preparation and work to do. Clearly this girl didn't go out with guys often (or was way too nonchalant about romance) so he'd have to set things right with her. Outside of that, though, Emily was strong (Student Captain, after all), independent, and seemed to run her life with passionate conviction.
She'd look brilliant in a summer dress, but she looked more comfortable in jeans and maneuverable clothing (something he assumed that came along with the job). He could ask things of her, but it'd be up to her whether she did them or no, ultimately...
The young British transfer nodded, slinging up his satchel on his shoulder... before taking out a small slip of paper and a pen and writing on it, folding it and handing it to Vi. He'd leave the copy of the notes with them and packed anything else up that he could (primarily just his pen). For now, his business was concluded and would have to be continued next time. He made for the door, before taking a half-turn to look at Vi and Emily with a slight nod.
"Catch you about, then."
Staring at Vi... and then Emily.
And quietly, Richard excused himself.

He brow twitched as Richard turned to go, the Captain speaking under her breath.
"I always wear comfortable things...."
She turned to Violet, shaking her head a little.
"Dunno what he was on about....weird little guy."

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet would refrain from squealing as plans were officially set in place between the two, having completely been unawares about her uncomfortable position she didn't see fit to obey simple personal boundaries lingering perhaps a bit too close to the pair as this whole exchange went down wanting to get in on all the juicy details perhaps so that she and Melanie could stalk them later. As Richard made his escape from what some might call an uncomfortable confrontation he'd slip her a note one which Violet was careful to read as he dashed out.
Idly in the back of her head she wondered to herself if this was a separate come on. Her cheeks flushing into a blush turning to Emily briefly holding her hands up defensively not shy to show her the message as well, "IM SURE ITS JUST BUSINESS TO DO WITH THE CAFE HAAHAH!" Violet would laugh bashfully to herself trying to distance herself from this situation finally deeming herself not to be in Emily's way as she'd stated before Violet wasn't keen on betraying anyone. Regardless though Emily seemed to go over herself talking about being comfortable. Light bulb.
"Emily! We need to get you something to wear!" Deadly serious Violet would close the distance again attempting to grapple Emily by the biceps shaking her like a rag doll. A certain creepy excitement in Violet's eyes as she did so.

Emily was already turning around after seeing the note. Violet was likely right- probably just wanted to go over logistics. However, the girl suddenly appeared in front of her, shaking her rapidly with excitement.
Emily would scowl furiously until the girl let her go.
"I have something to wear. Sweatpants and my sweater. Dunno why he needs to meet on a weekend...."
She strung herself across the couch, flipping on the TV.

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet didn't need to be told twice, Emily was scary when she was angry. Flinching back she'd release the girl only to presume the uncomfortably close distance and seemingly boundless amounts of energy concerning the scenario she'd bumbled herself into.
"Em! Its a date! You have to look nice and do fun stuff." At least that is what Vi figured they were she'd never really been on any sort of a planned date herself only been familiar with the tv sitcoms and how they approached them always ending with a little smoocheroo. "You can't get away with your usual getup!" Vi would glower back this time adamant about it all. "If its too much to go shopping you could borrow something of mine. I won't take no as an answer!"
