I just sat and watched the scene unfold before me. Grabbing another cookie, I sat back and sipped at my tea and nibbled at my cookie. Every one was gawking at Emily's suggestion to join the SHCP, but I just took it in stride. I sighed a moment later. Lowering my cookie slightly so i could speak.
"You could always 'fire' her."
I held up my fingers over the cookie and gestured quotations around the word 'fire.'
"That is, unless you have suddenly taken a liking to the rules." I shrugged. "Your call boss."
My tone was very uncaring. It didn't matter to me one way or the other. I didn't like the girl. I didn't like feeling at all. This was way better than feigning emotion and getting hurt.

She tilted her head a little to the side, the space between her eyebrows being scrunched in question.
"Who ever said you can't do both?"
No one ever explained to her the rules. As far as she knew, you could do whatever you wanted. Who was to keep someone from joining them? Who decided these laws? The school could use all the protection they could get, and having a Pillar in the SHCP would make for a convincing security argument. She would run a hand lithely through her hair and watch Violet. Was she....crying? A brow arched. The punch was gonna hurt, sure but....it was meant as a joke. Kind of a...i don't know, punch between fighting friends? Still, she wasn't about to say sorry.
Couldn't look weak, right?
Her eyes trained on Richards, staring into the short males own without much regard for how others might view such a stare.
"I said I plan to offer them an alliance. I don't know what the faculty plans for them, so I intend to keep them as close as possible until I do know."

...And then Violet flew across the room along with Richard. Don't get him wrong, he would have loved to escape Violet's grasp, but he had just had his head beaten into a pulp and found it very difficult to articulate, much less move himself right then.
Richard would remain in a heap on the floorboards without Violet's support, still just listening in. He'd raise up a hand at Violet's protesting over the rules of the Pillar-to-S.H.C.P. (which was actually never that clear, much like the synapses that were firing off in Richard's head right then and there.
"Fra... neh, bda bda sah?" he'd ask, supporting Violet's concern.
Melanie would then come up with her supporting proposal. A ploy by the Pillars.
"Cna hse neve od datr?"[/i] still concerned, his hand lazily pointing over to where Melanie's voice had come from.
Emily would train her eyes over to Richard's heap and stare at him. He hoped she enjoyed his heap. It was going to be a bastard to iron out these wrinkles. Her next words did interest him, however...
"...Nhtz, duba neh nesquick---"
Strength would find itself in his arms and legs and he'd push himself up, looking deadpan up aat them all as though nothing had ever happened. The blood detracted from that attempted projection, of course.
"...About the cafe..." he's remind Emily "Will you give your approval?" "With S.H.C.P.?"
Emily had originally stated that she wanted the S.H.C.P. nowhere near the cafe. But if she was opening it up to an alliance (as she had mentioned before at the Ray's Dojo), then wasn't that requirement now moot?

EVEN WITH THESE CHAINS
you can't stop me Violet would shoot Melanie a daring glance. Sure the idea had come to her but there was something that left her unsettled about it. Being fired generally meant that she wasn't doing her job properly and trying her heart out at this job made a fake firing really unsettling to her even if it was that. Just the same too Violet would probably feel very inclined to work hand in hand with Stevie-Ray, the girl had been nothing but sweet to her even though their initial interaction was a small bit on the awkward side. Violet would shake her head returning to reality for a moment as Em asked the question.
"Well Stevie-Ray said so...I took her for her word so I didn't ask further."
Violet would look down beneath herself, bosom planted firmly into Richard's face from the floor. She'd offer him the same glare albeit only momentarily before coming to reason that he was innocent and would press herself upright cordially before crossing her arms across her chest defensively looking outright. "So where do we go from here?" Violet would prompt the question. Richard already voicing his part knowing that he'd need the commission of both Pillars and SHCP hoping in turn that he got just that, she made a promise even if it wasn't voiced she had to uphold the wishes of the student body.
"If I can I'll try to see what I can do about Stevie-Ray, after all I mentioned that we'd hang out soon. Maybe... Hmmm no?" Violet palmed her chin thoughtfully silently laughing to herself. She had her own issues on that end it'd be comical for her to play little miss matchmaker with someone else.

I looked from Emily to Violet to Richard. Violet and Emily were trying to figure out how to get in close with the SHCP Captain and Richards was apparently just worried about his not-so-monogamous relationship with Violet and Emily. Emily was apparently fine with it and Violet was worried about getting hit again? This was all getting too complicated for me to follow. I stood up from my chair and made my way to the kitchen for can of soda. I had expended my sweet tea and was still parched. Did I really have to listen to all this crap about the SHCP and the Pillar system getting together?
"Perhaps we could ask a few questions to Kaar and Asiv."
I mumbled as I entered the kitchen. I really didn't want to be here anymore. I was only here for the dance and now this? Really?

OOC: Sorry for the wait- will keep better track of this.
Emily rolled her eyes at Mel's suggestion.
"Good luck there. Asiv stonewalls be at every corner, and Kaar seems pissed to even deal with us at all. But....you can give it a try."
She turned her eyes back on Richard.
"Yes."
Things change. And since they last spoke, her approach to things were forced to do just that.
