The title is as the title says. It was a random day in 259. However, it was not a random time, but a random lunch time. In a completely random area of the school. Let's say things weren't so random though. Maybe it was a Tuesday. Maybe this meant students would receive more homework today. Maybe it was lunch time, and maybe, everyone didn't eat lunch inside. Maybe some chose the roof, maybe some chose the entrance stairs, but some...-chose the courtyard. Students would come and go as time did the same. Maybe everyone left after lunch, but maybe...one didn't.
Student passerby's would chat about the current situation at higher elevations. "Hey, is she still up there?"
"Who?"
"You know, that girl! The one that climbed up that tree during lunch today!"
"She couldn't possibly still be up there could she?"
"I think she's stuck..."
Even now, Izzy lay sleeping a rather large branch of said tree. Rumor has it, someone told her to climb it, to which she bravely agreed. Problem is, she was too scared to jump back down. If asked, Lavender would no doubt deny the accusation, saying "I was just tired is all." Yes, the cat still is stuck in the tree, just now awaking to find herself, well...still in the tree. Izzy looked down. "Idiot. It's all 'his' fault I got stuck here. I wouldn't be surprised if it was homeroom right about now." As people passed, she remained in her "Idol Tree Sitting Position".

I was simply strolling through the courtyard on my way to the next class. I wore a simple outfit. One that I could move freely in as well as be comfortable in. I really didn't like wearing the school uniform. Besides, who was going to make me? It was a B-E-A-utiful day, and i was not gonna be caught inside all day long. No-Sirie-Jim-Bob! I was absolutely gonna suck up some of those "harmful rays!" I was even gonna do it for a few minutes, honestly because that was all i had. Being in a position of authority, meant you had to follow the rules... Those damned rules! Who liked them anyway?! I sure as hell didn't! That was about the time i heard someone student talking to another about a kid in a tree. Damned be it all. Guess i'd have to spend more time outside. Oh no. What will I ever do? I made my way to the tree and looked up, tilting my cowgirl hat back more so I could see, i half yelled. "What's goin on up there? Don't ya know class is about to start?"

When a sound was heard, Izzy's ears would twitch as she looked to identify the source. It was...a cowgirl? Lavender hoped she wouldn't have a lasso equipped as well. She glanced around curiously to see if there were any other students the cowgirl may have been talking to. It seemed only Izzy and the ranger were outside as of now.(Accompanied by male class skipper snoozing at the bottom of the tree) Lavender returned her gaze to the ranger and nodded to her question.
"In the school, the air is full of dust unlike out here. You of all naturalists should know that." Izzy took in a hardy breath of fresh spring air.-her nose held high. This action followed by a chain sneeze of 3 calibers. (L-lets just pretend that didn't happen. I blame spring allergies.) Izzy wouldn't seem to keep eye contact for long with Wilson, as she looked away lazily. "What are you doing out of class?"

I looked up at her and sighed, I got tired of this quick, but i'd give her another chance.
"Look, I know it's great out here, but you need to go to class."
I looked down at the boy sleeping and kicked his leg hard enough to wake him.
"Off to class with you, too."

Lavender seemed to understand the position this cowgirl held...and she didn't really like it. The kicked boy suddenly awoke in a panic, accidentally bumping his head the tree behind. "Oh cripes! Thanks! I gotta book it to...uhhh...homeroom! That's it!" The student dashed off in a hurry. A silence was left between Wilson and Izhitza. Izzy wanted to say somethi-no, she needed to say something, but she couldn't bring forth words. She felt like a child being scolded-which she was, but it brought forth a very familiar feeling. Although this reminded Izzy of both parents, this really hit her as a "Dad" thing. Maybe not a "Normal-Dad" thing, but a "Her Dad" thing.
This had to be why she liked regular schools better, but Izzy refuses to talk about those now. Lavender chanced a quick look at Wilson using only the pupils. She decided to take verbal action. Even if it wasn't very smart. "Why do I need to go? It's only homeroom-HOMEROOM! That class is really only there to make other school organizations easier to operate." Well THIS argument won't end well. Lavender figured as much anyway, but to save herself from embarrassment(of one kind), it was absolutely necessary.
It was easy to say Izhitza wished she was talking to any other person. Or nobody at all works fine too.

My eyes narrowed at the tree. I had tried it the easy way. I didn't want to hurt her, but if she refused to come down...
"I know I only just took the position as Captain of the School Hall Correctional Police just two weeks ago, but seriously. Does everyone here treat each other with such huge amounts of disrespect for no reason?"
At that I started climbing the tree.
Please make this easier on yourself and come down. I'd much rather not hurt you. Plus, Homeroom ain't all that bad. Think of it as a relaxing place after lunch."
I doubted it would work, but I was just full of second chances today.

Captain of the School Hall Correctional Police? Izzy figured so. Also, wait a minute, shouldn't the Hall police be inspecting the school "halls" rather than trees outside? This name needs fixing. Lavender flinched at the word "Disrespect". It was a word that came up often in past times. The sound of the s slowly transitioning to the p sound always sent chills down Izhitza's spine. She could feel much anxiety from the usage of the word.
Great, the cowgirl's climbing the tree now. This meant there was obviously no way of escape if she made it to the branch Izzy sat on. Lavender could probably stop Wilson, but like all guilty children, she sat awaiting punishment for her misdeed.
'Please make this easier on yourself and come down. I'd much rather not hurt you.'-Wilson said. It would be easy to avoid trouble if Lavender would just hop down from the tree. But that was IF. So, do something mentally impossible, or I gotta give ya a beating!...-is basically the message. (T-this is stupid....) By the time Wilson reached the tree branch destination, Izzy figured she should go ahead and give a full disclosure(As much as it pained her.) Lavender gulped and opened her mouth shakily, before murmuring: "Well, t-that's the p..problem. I...can't get down..." Izhitza looked down. This was 259. A petty fear won't keep her from punishment of skipping class.

I didn't see the girl flinch. I was already climbing the tree. By the time I got there, she had revealed the problem. I didn't think she was the type to say things like that to people. She was, well... She was small. Most small people knew they could get seriously hurt for saying crap like that. My face softened.
"Stuck huh?"
*-*-*-*-* "Daddy, I'm stuck! I can't get down!" "Don't worry sweetie. I'll get ya." Daddy climbed the tree and hoisted me over his shoulder and brought me back down. He was always my hero and that was why. Sure he was a total goofball, but he was my goofball daddy. He was just supposed to be that way. Once we were back on the ground daddy climbed with me and taught me how to go up and then back down. "Step here, then hold on there so you can step here." Daddy was so smart. He knew everything! *-*-*-*-*
"Don't worry. I'll help ya."
I'd do the same thing daddy told me. I'd tell her where to step and where to put her hands. It was just like climbing up, but this time, you look down.

"Don't worry. I'll help ya." Those words were knew. So new, as a matter of fact, that they were sickening. Lavender could feel her insides rejecting such kindness, but she was really bored of sitting in this tree, so she would have to accept it. "A cushion." -She said. Izhitza gave Wilson a spoiled shun as she began to stare at anything other than the person in front of her.
"You could sit at the bottom of the tree and break my fall." This kid obviously sounded spoiled and ungrateful for Wilson's second chances and amazing forgiveness as well as kindness. Mentally, however, she began to feel unsure of herself. A fight or other kind of punishment was probably destined in the near future. Izzy thought to herself. It always seemed like she was asking for trouble. Ever since...then. There's no sign of her walking onto a different road anytime soon.

I blinked.
"I don't do cushions. Maybe if you knew how to climb down, you wouldn't get stuck again. If you don't want my help, I can get you out other ways."
There was an intentional hint of a threat there. I didn't really like blatant disrespect. Wanting to jump on people wasn't really all that cool to me.
"Unless you'd rather stay up here all night..."
I was tired of her shit now. I was late to class and she was being a pain. Enough bull shit. Action or regret. One or the other, time to choose.

There was obviously a threat in Wilson's words. Lavender threw a taunt in reply. "Fine. Hit me you BITCH! I figured that's what you came for in the first place." Izhitza stared right into Wilson's eyes. She would be lucky if she got to finish her sentence. This girl was probably much stronger considering her position, but Lavender had her mind set on victory if a fight were to break out.
Any internal attraction to Wilson was depleted by this point. Lavender really couldn't blame her for being like the others though. The worst case scenario would be that Izzy ends up in the hospital anyway. She doesn't have insurance though, so the school might have to pay for it. Wait, why was she thinking about money at a time like this?

My eyes narrowed. I hated it when people got like this. I did hit her. I hit her square in the jaw. But, I caught her before she fell off the branch. I pulled her back so I could look her in the eyes.
"Now see here, I did not come up here just to hurt you, but I WILL NOT let you speak to me like that."
At that I yanked her toward me, flung her over my shoulder and leaped from the tree. Luckily it wasn't more than 15 feet. I dropped and felt my legs want to snap. It hurt. It hurt like a mother fucker! But I had gotten her down without hurting her too much.
"If you want to fight, I won't stop you. In fact, I'll fight back. But if you don't you'll get a simple punishment from me. It won't be much. But it'll hurt when you wake up."
I starred her down. 'Make a move' my eyes dared her.

The punch hurt, yes. But in all honesty, it was a pain felt before, and you could say her jaw was almost prepared for it. Not saying it didn't hurt. Again, it hurt just as the landing did for Wilson. "If you want to fight, I won't stop you. In fact, I'll fight back. But if you don't you'll get a simple punishment from me. It won't be much. But it'll hurt when you wake up." These words stung, mostly because Lavender knew she was in the wrong. She had said the wrong thing, that is.
Izzy pulled herself away from Wilson. "Fine. I'm going to class." With that, Lavender turned her back and trotted in the school. Once in, on her way to her locker, she noticed a news bulletin. It detailed events dating all the way back to 15 years ago. 15 years is a long time, she thought. Then Lavender saw it. Saw him. The car, the civilians, the memories, all flashing quickly past. She slammed her fist into the article. "Idiot, Idiot-IDIOT!" She pounded it twice more, before taking the story itself off the wall. This would make a could fireplace starter. She was silent all the way to her locker, where she would rest her forehead against the door for a moment.
Lavender hoped with all her heart she wouldn't have to talk to Wilson again. This was mostly because of the shame involved in today's actions.

"Make sure you do."
I watched her go to class. I wanted to follow, but i knew she'd go. If and when I met up with her again, I'd give her the just punishment, but for now, I had class as well. I walked to my class in a huff. I couldn't believe how rude she was. And for no apparent reason other than she had pride. She was a stupid girl who desperately needed someone to help. I was that person, I guessed. I'd speak to her later about the possibility of a job. She had spunk, that was for sure. I'd have to think on it though.
