Takumi made his way out of his room, sleepily rubbing his eyes. Christmas wasn't until tomorrow. Not that it mattered since Takumi really didn't celebrate much. He didn't have anyone who... Takumi sighed and threw the door closed behind him. He was nearly naked aside from the robe hung half hazardly over his shoulders. It hid nothing. Not that Takumi really cared, he lived alone in his own apartment.
He was headed for the kitchen for some water and maybe breakfast when he stopped short. There was a christmas tree. At first, Takumi thought someone was playing a bad prank on him. He pulled his robe closed-in case there were any people actually there- and walked to the tree, inspecting it. It was a normal tree, though he didn't know how some of the ornaments got there. Many were destroyed after Kyoto had died. Some he had made for her and some he bought for her. But all of them had been left, broken, or sold. How did they get here?
"What is this?" He would mumble to himself.
Under the tree, he would spot a single gift. Carefully stooping, Takumi would reach for the gift. Looking around the room for anyone or anything, Takumi made his way to the couch. Sitting down, Takumi would turn the gift over and look on all sides. The only writing on it merely said "From Santa, To Takumi" It wasn't in any handwriting he recognized before. Who had given it to him? Unwrapping the gift, he'd find a simple Hair band.
"What is this?" He asked no one.
