The whole event that went on while SJ was in the library was a bit odd. She didn't realize that Richard and Dion knew each other based on what Richard uttered under his breath (she didn't know that they didn't)-- but she figured that they had some bad blood in the past, which is why they went off together without a moments hesitation.
Anyway, next day- she was back at the library with Burrito by her side.
She could sense, though, the moment she stepped foot, that there were more people besides her and the librarian. Well, that, and the librarian usually greeted her upon entrance and she wasn't there, which meant she was probably helping another student.

The young man known as Dion would be rushing into the library that day and narrowly dodge SJ and Burrito, before going shoulder first into the end of a large bookshelf and finally the ground where he lay, rather gracefully if I may add for a few seconds.

She already knew it was him. A large grin spread over her face as she turned towards the general direction of his placement and held out her hand- you know, so she could help pull him up.
"Jeez, how come I never noticed you at the library before?"
Was she being cheeky? A little. Heh, heh. She was implying that he must come to the library often for them to run into each other twice in a row, which was what she was hoping for because for some reason she couldn't scratch off an itch that he knew more about the fight that happened than he let on. |

Dion would look up to SJ finally realizing who he had dodged. Chuckling a bit embarrassed at the lack of grace he displayed just then, he would stand and brush himself off.
"Yeah... I usually just run in here check out the book I want then take off again. Gotta stay busy, ya'know?"
Dion shrugged... Not used to the fact he couldn't be seen making his usually wide and hyper gestures. He also wasn't as suave as he usually was with girls, simply because he was ashamed of his previous fall.

SJ was starting to grow fond of this school. The fact that she was rapidly making friends who didn't seem to care too much about her inability to see was freaking awesome. But also, as terrible as this school was with violence, sometimes the people weren't all that bad. Like Dion, for example, who chose to stay with her at the library and keep her company.
"What books have you been checking out?"

"School doesn't really interest me too much. I mean I do what I'm supposed to, but I feel I'm treated different cause my last name is Asiv."
Dion looked down and sighed, spotting Burrito and giving a smile.
"I have been reading the Pendragon series by DJ McHale I'm on book seven."

"Oh! I've heard super great things about that series. I'm listening to Sabriel by Garth Nix right now."
Listening because she was using an audio book. If only there were books rich in braille, then maybe she wouldn't have to resort to audio-- hence the reason why she always seemed to have headphones either in her ear or around her neck.
"Dion Asiv, huh? Is Dion short for something?"
SJ was asking because she was genuinely curious. It was such a unique name.
Yeah, he was related to the principal but honestly that just sucked for him. She knew all too well what it felt like to receive special treatment.

Dion would chuckle a bit at the question she asked about his name.
"Yeah, my dad thought it would be a good idea to name me Dionysus. Guess that was better than Zeus Jr. or something."
Dion would bend down to look at Burrito and give a smile, holding a hand out for the dog to sniff.
"Oh, my brother was alright. He had gotten into the thick of problems like I thought he would, but he survived."
