However as the years went by his mother grew disheartened with the lack of connection with Shou's father and when Shou was five move, over to america in hopes of joining him. This didn't turn out well. In the first year of being in america, Shou's mother discovered that during his father years in the states, the man had secretly had a new family which he had been keeping from her. A legal battle ensued and eventually Shou and his mother were left in the states without a means to return home.
The years went by, and Shou mother finally free of the shadow of his father move on. Having remarried while Shou was still reasonably young. Shou grew up knowing and understanding the family history surrounding his mother and father, however he could not bring himself to accept his stepfather. Instead Shou withdrew, and the internet answered.
The internet gave him as a young man, his first friends. As well as a insight to his paternal heritage of Japan, that stuck it claws into Shou who felt that even though he couldn't really remember the country he should have been there instead of america. He forced himself to start learning Japanese, much to his English mother dissatisfaction, who had understandable gone off the culture of the country due to his father.
Then once again life was pulled in the air and thrown about. As at his stepfathers prodding, his mother agreed to a move across the states. Where a new school beckoned. Once again, Shou simply try to reassert himself in the new school. Working studiously and playing or conversing with people he had never met in real life. Rather then trying to make connection with the people around him.
