-- The sound of a pounding heart echoed in the dissolute mind of a young brunette. All was a haze. Soundless, except for her own heart. Words would not reach her. Her heart was knocking rhythmically at its confines growing in pace by the second. Shallow breaths barely escaped through the small gap her lips formed. The motion of the car racing through the streets in a haste couldn't shake her daze. How or when did she get in the passenger seat? Uncertain. The unknown caused no fear in her presently. It was the known that rattled her castle. Life was a slew of unexpectedness. Unprepared moments. Unwanted outcomes. There is no master key to unlock a blueprint on how to handle them. You can declare being prepared for it as much as you desire but in the end there is no such thing. No not when it becomes so personal. Could the night sky turn any darker in shade it would represent the totality of her current world. Darkness. The abyss enveloped the light leaving a plain of shadow in its wake.
