[attr="class","textie"]Knowledge is power they say. Power just so happens to be the element Public Highschool #259 doesn't lack in the slightest. Nor do any of the other numerous containment schools. Most don't care to know of the power the school possesses through the students, yet questions and suspicions of the school's true goals always seem to linger in the back of our brains. Some seek the knowledge, others wait for the knowledge to come to them. One should settle for the latter, since the ground below is plagued with unspeakable demise. Now you must wonder: What is the latter in this situation?[break][break]

Seinaru was in her dorm after hours, attempting to brush her impressive length of hair. Meanwhile, Jerry leaned against the corner of the room as he thought of many things. Seinaru couldn't help but notice him from the side of her eye. " Anata wa subete no basho ni watashi ni shitagau hitsuyō ga arimasu ka? Kono heya ni wa sen'yō no hazu, to dake 1 beddo ga arimashita. " (<-"Must you follow me to every room? School dorms are supposed to be private. There's only 1 bed here anyway.") Jerry snapped out of his pensive state and sighed. "Ue kara no meirei ni yoru to, watashi wa sorezore, anata ga nyūryoku shita subete no heya ni anata o dōkō suru hitsuyō ga arimasu. Karera wa anata ga shitte iru riyū mo naku yoku kore o haratte imasen. " (<-"According to orders from above, I have to accompany you to each and every room you enter. They don't pay this well for no reason you know.") Jerry silenced himself for a moment before looking to his wrist watch. " Anata wa junbi ga dekite ikimasu? " (<-"You ready to go?") Seinaru nodded before getting up and heading for the door(which Jerry kindly held open for her.) From there, the two began to walk the now dark hallways of #259.[break][break]

("You may wonder why we're walking the school halls at one o' clock in the morning, well to briefly explain; we recieved a request from Mr.Kokai to do some snooping around the school. We have a few connects here from the company who can supply with some more minor documents concerning the school's history. I would explain what the goal of this is, but i'm afraid I've said too much already. I'll leave off by saying the matter at hand isn't completely unrelated to Seinaru in some way or another.")[break][break]

As the two passed the gym and headed for the records room, it could be noted that Seinaru carried a different atmosphere with her in this time. Her eyes are now a bloody shade of red.[break][break]

Just then, they stopped at the sound of footsteps coming from the end of the current hallway. Except for the moonlight from the hallway windows illuminating the center, the ends of the corridor were pitch black. Who else could be up at this hour?

[Vincent Yukino]

This was a serious task, he was being given two paychecks worth of money from the old cafe he used to work at if he was able to get to the school and snoop around. For what exactly? According to the letter that he had been given, he will know eventually once he got there. The goal was to first find a way to sneak in. Once he did that, he needed to look for two targets, which he had yet to identify. Targets could mean anything, whether it be a person or an object. But if it was so vague, then it was most likely very obvious when one saw it. According to the letter, he had until the sunrise in order to get the job done. So with that, he would take this chance to two hundred dollars by jumping through an open window that he may or may have not rigged during the school day with a rock. In doing so, he successfully, planted a pebble between the window and the surface, allowing it to remain open. Once he jumped in, he would quickly place the rock back onto the window before looking around the classroom. Nothing yet. The next task was to open the door, most likely without turning on the lights. It was tempting, he knew, but he needed to keep himself hidden. And so he would make his attempt to get out into the hallway, right near where the other two "Targets" would be locate.

[attr="class","textie"]And so, in a strange twist of fate, three souls are brought together yet again. For the better, or for the worst.[break][break]

As the foot steps approached, Jerry put his hand to the gun in his left pocket. Seinaru stopped Jerry from pulling the weapon out as she stepped forward. "Watashi wa kore o shori shimasu, shinpaishinaide kudasai. " (<-"Don't worry, i'll handle this.") Seinaru assured the nervous translator as she appeared to begin unsheathing a long blade of sorts. However, the drawing of her weapon was interripted when she and Jerry were introduced to the familiar sight of Vincent Yukino. "Ehh?! Vincent?!" "Ā.. ! Vu~insento-san!" And here they were to fight a war. This said, Vincent's intentions for being here were still a mystery to the two agents. Jerry's face straightened up as he adjusted his glasses and resumed a gaze toward Vincent. "I don't mean to pry, but what's your reason for being at the school this late?"  [break][break]

As nice as seeing Vincent's friendly face is, Seinaru was still more interested in the task at hand, rather than hanging with the young man. With the objective in priority, Seinaru decided to continue her mission. "Anata ga taizai shi, shibarakunoaida, koko de hanashi o suru koto ga dekimasu. Mata modotte kimasu." (<-"You can stay and talk here for a while. I'll be back.") Jerry obviously wouldn't stand for this, and grabbed a hold of Seinaru's arm to stop her from progressing. "Watashi wa anata ga sore o yara seru koto wa dekimasen." (<-"I can't let you do that.") Seinaru heeded Jerry's word and remained in the corridor with Vincent and him for the time being. [break][break]

Since Vincent is an old friend of Jerry's, he'll at least hear Vincent out rather than jumping to conclusions as per usual.[break][break]

[Vincent Yukino]

Turning his head around as he heard the footsteps of the two targets, he would quickly hold up his fists as he turned towards their direction. Did they plan to engage in combat with him? If so, they better expect heavy resistance. He had a title back at one of the older schools, his first actually. And he was more than willing to show what he could do to them. However, as they slowly got closer, one of them would have light raining down on them from the shadows. And what more? His familiar voice was able to lower the guard of the Yukino. It was his boy, Jerry! Jerry?  It was definitely him. The one and only, one of the employees that ended up dealing with the load of crap that no one else really wanted to do back in the old days. Well, what a small world this was after all. Before given the chance to say hi, Jerry would ask him about why he was so late up at night. And why here specifically. Since he worked with the guy, Vincent found no reason to not trust him, and would end up placing a folded paper out from his pocket. If you can get enough light, read this for yourself. Some man named Mr. Kozai wanted me to find two targets here, and apparently they will give me the key to my next step. Two-hundred dollar job for a couple hours. What do you think of it?

Jerry nodded before carefully grabbing the paper Vincent handed out and holding it in the moonlight. Seinaru was curious of the letter's contents obviously, and Jerry quickly caught on to this as he finished reading the letter. "Ano... Sore wa nan to itte imasu ka?" Jerry folded the letter back up before handing it to Vincent. "So then, you're to be working with us." Jerry then conveyed the message to Seinaru. "Sore wa anata no chichi kara no messējida. Kare wa kono misshon de watashitachi to dōsa suru yō ni vu~insento o shiji shimashita." Seinaru looked from Jerry to Vincent, and back; somewhat confused, as she knew nothing of plans like this. "Otōsan kara? ... Watashi wa kangaemasuga, watashi wa ima, kono jūrai no issai no genkyū o kiita yari nasai" (<-Unimportant detail) [break][break]

Jerry smiled. "Now, as you know, i'll be your means of communicating with Ms.Kokai here. With that name provided, you should also infer that this is your client's daughter. Since you have trusted me with your info, then I'll trust you with mine." Seinaru looked back and forth between the two men, dumbfounded as can be. "Anata ga watashi ni tsuite nanika o itta... Ē to... Matte? Wakarimasen..." Jerry turned to her. "Nani mo, anata wa hijō ni kawaī janai desu." Seinaru blushed and took a few baby steps back.[break][break]

Jerry then resumed. "Now Vincent, before we continue this investigation, I must say something important to you. You're making $200 for this job, right? I feel bad for you, because i'm set up to make...SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!" Jerry could feel his great triumph over Vincent at this moment, just as a tsunami does when flooding a coastal region...like Los Angeles... [break][break]

Seinaru seemed to be tired of Jerry's aimless shenanigans, as she began along the corridor yet again, seemingly intent on leaving him behind. "Eh? Hey, wait for me!" At times like this, you have to wonder:Is Jerry being just a little too loud? If so, why haven't any threats shown up? The questions may just go without any probable answers. Jerry would then explain to Vincent: "I'll fill you on on the way."

I got ripped off, because now even Jerry makes more money than I do. He would mutter under his breath before taking in all of the data. The both of them can trust each other with each others data, pretty cool. Then there was the fact that they also had Ms. Kokai on the scene, and that she was also going to be helping. She seemed to only speaking foreign though, and Jerry was the translator. Okay, that seemed fair enough. And he could not help but snicker a little bit at the snowy-haired Kokai would be walking away from the both of them because of Jerry. I think I like her already. The Yukino would taunt playfully before looking over to Jerry to have a little more fun. What if I try to hook up with her. Think I'll get her number? Pfft, he was definitely daring. However, he would soften the sentence as he would then get back on task. So what's up? What specifically are we doing?

"Are you kidding me? I live in her dorm. I could always get you a VIP pass." The side conversation would quickly die down as Jerry would prepare to discuss the mission details. "Are you familiar with the tale of the first Kokai? He sailed the seven seas to be granted 7 great treasures from the more powerful men of the day. These treasures weren't any old nick-knacks either. They were said to be magical in a way. I'm sure you have heard of the term QI? That's right. While the Kokai family was not the origin of Qi, they were however, the origin of Qi artifacts. These artifacts can be anything from a sword to a varnished bucket. Basically, they're weapons with their own Qi abilities. Rumor has it, the school is in possession of a few, so there's no telling which item is the one we're looking for." Jerry gave his information spiel a break for Vincent to take the info in. Meanwhile, Seinaru would glance behind herself(at the guys) from time to time.  [break][break]

Jerry would then continue as the party would pass the (still wrecked) cafeteria. "Now, you probably wonder:why then, are we bringing Ms.Seinaru? Well, it was said that after the tenth generation of Kokai's come into existence, that the next seven shall inherit a artifact of choice. Seinaru is of the seventeenth generation, and shall claim the final artifact. It may be worth mention that only the children of the designated generation are able to activate the qi abilities of the artifacts. Now what might Seinaru's Qi be? Well...that's the hard part. We haven't figured that bit out yet. But in the mean time, we're trying to collect a certain series of paper on this final artifact that we believe the school is in possession of."[break][break]

At last, the group had arrived at the records room. Seinaru walked up and knocked a special knock, which signaled an ally already inside to open up. "Come in, hurry." He said. Luckily, this room was at least lit by a few lamps here and there. It may be worth mention, that the room is surprisingly tidy. [break][break]

Jerry made a quick scan of the room before heading over to a bookshelf and motioning the other two over. (minus the anonymous ally)

Well, he would be honest, he did NOT expect for that sort of thing to work. Naturally, he had someone, and he would only probably try to get reactions out of her, possibly a kiss on the cheek, but that would really be the most. What? He was just a flirt by nature, and this just so happened to work in his favor. Anyways, getting into her apartment, dorm, or house was going to have to wait later. Right now, however, he was going to focus on the task at hand. He began to explain the first Kokai and how he had treasures that would be able to help them advance on their trip through school, some items that allowed them to unlock QI. Oh man, it has been a while since he even used once of those things in the first place, though he liked to use his fists. The hurt a lot more in his opinion, but that was beside the point, however. In return, he was going to nod his head, understanding the situation so far, but no need to comment on it. So you think it might be here? If so, where might it be located? See, I remembered my old QI centering around Ice, but it took quite a while to learn it, and it tends to get boring to use after a while. I can see the appeal to it, though, so I'll help out. Besides, money. After that, they would enter a bookroom, and with no other hints of anything to do, he would follow the signal and go over to Jerry. So what might be here?

[attr="class","textie"]"That's just it. We don't know. This item may or may not actually be here." Surely, these words assured Vincent that everything was going according to the plan Jerry has absolutely no idea what he's doing.[break][break]

"So what might be here?" Vincent asked upon approaching the bookshelf. Jerry still seemed to be looking for something in particular. That was, until Seinaru walked up and pulled a modern binder right out of the bookshelf with as little as a glance before handing it to Jerry. "Ā , arigatōgozaimashita." (<-Ah, thank you.) Seinaru nodded with a smile. " Dōitashimashite." (<-Don't mention it.) Jerry began flipping through book pages before finally getting to Vincent's question. "Many things, but this is what we're looking for. It's a record on all of the Public Highschools. Number 42, 137, 552...they're all here! The book also contain lists of important "items" that have been transfered between schools. Notice how each school seems to have some sort of student self government group. Apostles at 552 and S.H.C.P over here. This goes without mentioning even the pillars of each location. Strange, isn't it?"  [break][break]

Seinaru leaned over Vincent's shoulder to see some of the illustrations the binder also contained. "Ā ! Sono chiku 5 5 2 jaarimasen?" Jerry examined the photo of a desolate slum, surrounded by a huge wall. "Oh yeah, I heard District 552 got shut down." [break][break]

Seinaru took a step back and looked at Vincent. "Anata wa kono ichi no mae ni, dono gakkō ni ikimashita ka?" Jerry shifted his gaze to Vincent as well. "She said:Which school did you go to before this one?" [break][break]

Then... Why were they here? Was not the goal to find an item in the first place? Well, there was plenty of moonlight to burn, they probably can deal with it later. For now, however, he was going to have to deal with a different task at hand, which was looking through the records. They might have some things about the school that might be interesting. Files, files, files. Aha! I know what you mean when you say 137. To answer your question Sei, that school was the school I went to previously. It was the last one I had been to, and... I was very close to being the School Captain for that place. By far one of the strongest, even the pillars were not so good. After that, he would hang his head down a bit as he remembered what happened to it. Why it happened, he had no idea. But if only he stuck around, he did not have to leave it alone, not while he was so close. They had the pillars and the idiot that claimed herself to be the first... She was dead now. Good as dead, and Vincent could not help but feel a bit of remorse.  Well, seems like all these schools are shutting down. Hopefully, they are not planning to get rid of every kind, each school provides a new challenge I have found. Though I must ask, what is this place? 259, right? Why is it so... Er... Different? Not too many people seem familiar.

Jerry translated what Vincent said to Japanese so that Seinaru could understand. She looked to Vincent with a somewhat sorrowful expression. "Watashi wa tōji nani ga okotta no ka wakaranai. Kanashī koto shinaide kudasai, shikashi, anata ga koko de owaru suru no wa machigaide wa nakatta yōna ikutsu ka no riyū de, watashi wa kanjite imasu. Tokidoki, watashitachi wa hoka to wa kotonaru mono o sagashidashi, tokiniha betsu no wa, watashitachi ni kimasu." (<- "Please, don't be sad. I don't know what happened back then, but for some reason, I feel like it wasn't a mistake for you to end up here. Sometimes we seek out those different from the others, but sometimes those different come to us.") Jerry quickly translated this to Vincent. "I get the point. Jerry then checked his wrist watch. "Huh? 2:31 am already? Hey, what do you say we call it a night? Think:you got your job done before sunrise, which was getting in and finding us. I think that's worth $200 right there. If you want, you can spend the night at me and Seinaru's dorm tonight. I think I'll be taking these documents with me for further study. I want to find out more about both the artifact and the S.H.C.P." Seinaru looked at Jerry as her name was mentioned. "Nani?" Jerry laughed. "Nani mo, watashi wa chōdo kare ga anata to kon'ya nemutte kare ni iimashita." Seinaru's face began to turn a deep red, so she covered it with a nearby book.[break][break]

The Kokai would then begin to speak to him, and despite trying to understand eve a syllable, he was unable to bring himself to do it, and thus ended up feeling guilty for a different reason. However, the translator would end up being able to expose the truth to him, or what she thought of it. Well, if she thought so, why not? The reason why he was here, well, he wanted to try again. Thanks, Sei, that means a lot to hear. And don't worry for me, I'll be fine. His face would give off the genuine smile that he was known for, keeping himself calm as usual and having lots of fun despite just talking. Jerry would then continue to speak at him. Yes, AT him. But then he was then talking to him when he then stated that they should probably all begin to depart. Sounds cool. Glad I could get some work done. And why not? I'd love to crash at your place. Or her place. Whoever owns it. The girl would let out the typical "Nani", which meant what. He saw enough anime know what it meant, and so Jerry would speak before she gave off a really adorable red blush. He could not help but melt a little bit when he saw her adorable face. D'awwwww. so cute!

Jerry smiled at Vincent's response. "Sound good? Great, then let's go. Darwin, lock the door behind us." Darwin did as he was told. Meanwhile, Vincent and friends entered the dark corridors of #259 yet again. For some reason, Seinaru looked behind herself many times on the walk back to the dorm. Jerry remained silent for the majority of the walk. They then stood at the door of dorm#777. "Isn't it funny? This dorm must be lucky or something with those numbers." Jerry opened the door and let Vincent and Seinaru pass. Just as Jerry was about to enter however...*CLICK*. [break][break]

A man was holding a gun up to Jerry's head. Jerry remained calm with a casual smile on his face. The gun wielder was tall, with long black hair held back into a pony tail. Stubble covered his lower face. "Ō.. ! Jerī-kun!" The tall man muttered to Jerry. "Don't move a muscle or I will shoot." "What are the charges officer?" Jerry asked. "I saw you were sniffing around where you didn't belong. Hand over the binder." Seinaru quickly looked to the binder she happened to be carrying, and contemplated handing it over. However, Jerry had other plans. "Not a muscle you said?" Without a second thought the tall man fired. The sound of the shot was silenced it seemed, so it wasn't likely that anyone else would wake up.[break][break]

Seinaru was speechless. Not even a scream could escape from her lips. The bullet hit the ground, nearly flattened. Jerry smiled as his glasses shined as the light hit them perfectly. The tall man backed off immediately, in a state of obvious shock toward's Jerry's perfect condition. Jerry made a quick turn that transitioned into a kick of sort that knocked the man out. "We can't stay here it seems. The school seems to have caught on. Let's make haste." [break][break]

"W wa... ... Sore wa nanideshita ka?" Jerry shrugged of Seinaru's question and motioned Vincent to come along. Well, it seems Jerry didn't trust Vincent with all of his info after all.

The sudden click would cause him to flinch, the familiar sound of a glock or pistol, none too different in his opinion. The next unfortunate scenario was having a hostage of an ally, meaning he was going to have to find a way to get him out of there. But within the next moment, the bullet just kind of fell to the ground with no explanation... QI perhaps? It was interesting, but the guy had been flattened. He's grown strange... What happened to the other Jerry? The one less confident and less sketchy? Then again, who was to say that Vincent had not changed either. What with the discovery of what happened to the other school, the one girl he met, what she gave to him, and how he was back here out of all places. There was no time to address it, he would follow the motion of Jerry and Seinaru, bailing out as quickly as he could as he would turn over to Jerry. Same plan?

Jerry kept silent up until he was asked a question by Vincent. "I think it would be wise to leave the school until day break. The Faculty isn't able to touch us during the day, since they can't  let the public know they are in possession of dangerous artifacts. This binder serves as the ultimate blackmail to the school." The trio would then finally reach the entrance doors. Seinaru would make a running kick which kept the doors open long enough for the three to exit the school.

Jerry would lead the two others to a nearby cafe. He would then enter the cafe and request a table. Seinaru was silent. "Well, I guess that's it. We should be safe here, as I know the manager on duty. Besides, the Faculty would stick out like sore thumbs if they were to make a few rounds in the streets of LA. Well Vincent, from here on, you can do whatever you like." Jerry handed Vincent a signed paper. "Hand this to your client. It's verification that you helped me and Ms.Kokai out."[break][break]

Through all that's happened within the past 10 minutes, Seinaru has remained completely quiet, which is out of character to say the least.  Vincent, however, may not know her well enough to catch on to this. The waiter came by. "May I get you three something to drink?" Jerry looked to the waiter. "I'll have two cappuccinos. Josei Kōkai, nani o nomitaidesu ka?" (<-Miss Kokai, what would you like to drink?) Seinaru shook her head toward Jerry's question. It seems she isn't thirsty at the moment. [break][break]
