Mental Information
Personality:
Willy is a chronic daydreamer. An amnesiac side effect of his former desires for freedom from his tumultuous upbringing, he now daydreams about what he was like before now. When he isn’t learning how to adjust to life at a new school in an unfamiliar state, he can often be seen staring off into space, occasionally for hours at a time wondering who he was, trying to piece together some form of an identity. Those daydreams often come to nothing, and as a result he can become irritable if left to his own thoughts too long. Even when he’s not actively trying to put his brain back together and fill in the details of his life prior to now, he often seems distracted or preoccupied by the river of thoughts and distractions that enter and exit his mind on a regular basis. Often, because of this daydreaming, he can seem like a bit of a loner at first glance.
The young man cannot stand conflict between people. Be it the bickering between two siblings about who does what chore or a war off in another part of the globe: he does not want any part of it. Often, rather than making a scene or continuing to argue with someone, he will simply remove himself from the situation. He is very emphatic to situations where emotions run high, and more often than not the frustration from more severe arguments will result in an abrupt departure, and often will not reappear for several hours. During that time, he usually finds a place to be alone and takes his frustration out in the form of bitter tears and crying; not out of spite or hate, but usually because the people who become angry or try to argue with him are usually the closest. On top of being opposed to conflict, Willy is also easily upset by the emotions of others.
As a result of his apparent amnesia, Willy can have trouble fully trusting his own decisions and those of the people around him. Due to this, he can appear unsure of himself and a tad standoffish towards others, but the truth is that, in his current state, he's like a fish out of water just living in his own skin. He can appear pessimistic at times, but that is because he tends to voice his doubts more often than the underlying optimism his dreaming self. He can also become easily frustrated with himself, particularly in trying to adapt to his life at #259.
Contrary to the popular image of teenagers in their final year of high school, there is very little to suggest that he has an ego. In fact, it seems quite the opposite. He doesn’t like talking about himself (amnesia doesn’t help in that regard), and in fact he almost seems afraid of having a conversation if one were to judge from how he holds himself; however, the truth of the matter is that, although he may shy away from the adventurous antics of others, or be a bit short on words and soft spoken, he isn’t afraid to be around people. He may not like talking to them, given his native Texas accent and a tendency to interject his sentences with uhms and uh’s, but he does not mind the presence of other people around him.
Mentality:
Awkward, not particularly outgoing, opens up after a while.
Ideal:
"Can't we all just get along?"
Belief:
Willy doesn't particularly talk about his beliefs that much. More than likely, he's agnostic.
Physical Information
Build:
Shortish, lanky
Defining Marks:
Although it's hidden under his hair, there's a scar that runs along his hairline, down across his temple, and ending just behind his right ear.
Description:
Bloop
History Information
History:
For someone who has broad swathes of his memory missing, there isn't much he can talk about in his past. He vaguely remembers his family: his father was fairly strict, his mother wasn't; he has a brother and a sister that he remembers almost nothing about; and, he remembers spending most of his time at a relative's house. but can't place if it was his grandparents, or an aunt or uncle he stayed with. The one person he remembers clearly was a childhood friend named Blair, but his thoughts are often too clouded or busy to think much about her... As for what caused his apparent amnesia, the young man can remember that it had something to do with a bus...was he run over by one, or was he riding one that crashed? The thing he remembers the most about the accident was that it was immensely painful. His entire stay in the hospital was a blur, and in retrospect he's probably thankful that it was. After he was checked out of the hospital by someone claiming to be a family friend--Nikki, if he remembered correctly--he stayed at their home for several months recovering before he was enrolled to finish his high school education.
