" No, I am offended you don't respect authority. Now, Yield, and I'll gladly grant you detention as punishment instead of a infirmary visit." He did not seem pleased with her attitude. OOC: Continued from here

His speed took her by complete surprise, as she should have guessed with that potato exploding against the wall. He was at least four times faster than her, and with incredible strength, punched her in the chest and sent her flying through the wall. She slid across the hall floor until her back hit the lockers. What a humiliating thing for her... hell no, she would not accept detention, or the infirmary, if she could help it. "Ah, but you still were offended by a little girl like me, so a grown-ass man like you proceeds to beat her up~" Alice murmured weakly, still maintaining her sly grin despite the pain and breath knocked out of her.

He shook his head.
"Insults through deflection aimed to attack me rather than the situation shows how desperate you are to avoid the reality of what's happening here. The corporal punishment system exists to help make kids like you better- if I have to teach through my fists, you should be the one ashamed, not me- ashamed that your childish actions forced my hand, when you could have just listened. If you don't like it- get stronger."
He'd bend to try and grab her ankle, then he would start walking toward detention, dragging her ass there, pondering to himself with some amusement. He didn't truly believe in the corporal punishment system that much- but he did enjoy giving kids the same speeches he got as a kid here. Speeches that forced him to power, forced him to the Dragons and to the title of School Captain.
Things that made him grow into the man that was there now.

"Heh, this 'corporal punishment' system... What a joke. It must not work very well, I mean, look at how you turned out~" Alice said, only speaking by speculation; obviously the system was not entirely new. Even ten years ago, as she heard from someone, things were still rough. She would attempt to kick his hand away with her other leg and move away from him, her smirk unwavering. "I don't think I like this system very much. I don't feel like turning into a harsh and over-sensitive grown ass adult like you. But I guess it doesn't really matter what I want, hm? Whatever... You obviously agree with the foolish idiots who thought 'corporal punishment' was a good idea~"
She could ramble all day; she still enjoyed the sound of her own voice, especially when her observations were proving over and over again to be true. But what did anyone care about that? She was not here to change the world or system, or try to speak out against it too much. Her other goal was simple; she just had to hide her time, and like the moron before her said, grow stronger.

David cocked an eyebrow and turned back.
"And how is it you think I turned out, hm? You think because I work here, that I must be a failure, right?"
Her kick would indeed free her leg, and so he would stop and turn back. His brows rose as she continued to talk, a smile on his face throughout her words. He'd wait for her to finish before responding quite simply.
"For someone who talks so much, you sure don't have a lot to say. Nobody likes the corporal punishment system, even us. But the government just doesn't want to deal with the problem cases that are suspended or expelled because they form gangs and that becomes their problem. They'd much rather we have to deal with it. Without this system as some measure of control, kids like you would...I don't know...say, thrash the cafeteria daily without repercussions. Or drive trucks through the front doors of the school. Or beat on and slap your fellow students around simply because no punishment would exist. It's not a perfect system but it's the only one that works."
He would move forward to snatch up her leg again, this time getting a firmer grip and continue to drag her along.
"You think having the ability to speak makes you intelligent- it doesn't. You believe I'm overly sensitive and harsh- I just don't like soda cans or potatoes hitting me in the face, like you seem not to enjoy getting dragged down the hall. What did I say- detention. You returned my words with mockery and scorn. So. Here we are."
He expected more of the same from her- blabbering on and on about how unjust and insignificant he was. But the only ones whose words mattered to him were those who could understand his own. Right now....talking to her was like talking to a brick wall.
Pointless.

It had been a long while since she had last been scolded. When was the last time, actually...? Perhaps it had been Theo, as he was the most obvious option. That, or maybe Lorem or Capone? Ha, no, it definitely was the former. Back in that day, he would be one of the few brave enough to confront her like that, when she was no more than a child. Was that why part of her had fallen for him later on? Ah, she could not tell, but whatever. It was in the past, and her priorities were much different now.
A small grin stayed on her face as she listened, all while she tried to sit herself up. The system still made no sense, but it seemed that this teacher would stick to it like glue. She had learned long ago that arguing could be pointless, especially when it was with stubborn fools. And to her, he was no more than just another puppet of the system he seemed to praise, despite claiming nobody liked it. She would attempt to dodge him trying to grab her ankle again, and begin to try to stand herself up. "Yep," she replied to his 'so here we are' casually. At least she was intelligent enough to not argue when it was pointless. Why waste her breath when there was no reason? She loved the sound of her own voice, but he simply was not worth talking to anymore. She was already getting bored, but like hell was she going to actually obey.
"So then, all I have to do is get stronger, then I can beat you and everyone else down, and make my own rules? Is that right?" Alice mused, beginning to try to walk past him. "I can walk myself to 'detention', thank you very much~"

He'd stick his hands in his pockets when she stood and made her statement, cocking an eyebrow. As she would walk past him, he'd follow her, intent to make sure she went.
"Or maybe, if you get that strong, you'll find a better way. A way to change things. Not being able to do so- not yet, anyway- is my own failing. Perhaps you'll succeed where I didn't. Becoming a mindless beast of the system won't change things for people like you, though. It'll only perpetuate the problem."
He'd stop outside the detention center, unconcerned with how a child viewed him.
