"Q" lowered her fists slowly.
Crumbled on the ground in front of her was the leader of the gang "Araks", who went by the moniker "SPYDER". She didn't mind monikers. "Q" was short for "Quake", her own title for leader of the gang whose letters were spread acrossed her shoulder blades.
"AFTERSHOCK".
Though she wore the same style of clothes and fought the same way, the person under that mask knew that nobody could tell who she was. They couldn't even be suspicious, thanks to that obscuring shred of cloth she wore. It made the transition from Captain to Gang Leader a smooth one. Still, she had yet to meet with any of the hierarchy. She supposed that doing so might symbolize a betrayal to the student body. She wasn't against them yet, so much as she ignored them.
She supposed, with the way she kept putting down gangs, that her name would come up soon enough.
Crouching, she'd wipe her knuckles on the males shirt, intent to leave the body where it lie.

Stevie emerged from the school on her way back home. School was over and it was time to go. All her homework was done and she had just finished her work out. And by work out she meant some kid who wanted a piece. It didn't last long. As per usual. She took a shortcut through the court yard, riffling through her bag for her headphones. Kenny Chesney always walked her home. She didn't even see the person crouching her a body until she was already on the ground.
Her bag went one way and she another. lying on the other side of the two completely sprawled out, Stevie grinned at the humor of the situation before quickly replacing it with a scowl. She had a new presence now. She turned her head and looked at the two. One was lying on the ground, bloodied. The other was crouching over him and wiping her hands. Nice She could respect this one.. Guy? Girl? Whatever. Sitting up and preparing to stand, she'd throw a growl.
"Watch it.... Wait, what happened here?"
Stevie finally pulled herself back into her position {claimed or not} of SHCP captain. She didn't care if she had it or if she just played the part.

"......."
She glanced down at the body, then back up at Stevie. She searched her coat- no S.H.C.P badge....had she quit? If so, that would mean a definitive power shift in the school. Unexpected, but unimportant. "Q" needed to concern herself with cleaning up the gangs, until only she remained. "Aftershock" was an important step in her plan to drag Asiv into the limelight- these groups and 260 were just flies on a wall. Now, normally in this situation she'd just turn to leave since Stevie did not seem to possess the thumbs up from the school anymore and thus had no authority to stop her. Instead she'd glance at the few people who had come to a stop to stare at them.
"He was a little high strung, and needed a nappy."
She would come to her feet, standing straight, arms held loose at her side.
"You're the former S.H.C.P Captain, right?"
Best to get a feel for Stevie's mindset on it first.

Stevie's eyes narrowed and she moved to a standing position.
"Some low-level-thug thinks he is in it just because I was gone for a bit. It IS mine."
She paused and looked down to the guy on the ground.
"What did he do?"
Best to be sure before Stevie jumped to conclusions. This was a female she didn't know... Right?

She would give a little smile, though Stevie wouldn't see it. The girl was just the same as always.
"He did not appreciate my eradication of his members."
She followed this up by crouching, gripping the open mouthed cobra patch on the mans jacket arm and ripping it off. She'd proceed to tuck it inside her jacket and standing.
"I'm Quake, leader of "Aftershock". This school is my territory."
She said that for everyone else that had begun to mill about as much as Stevie. She wasn't claiming the school from the pillars or the S.H.C.P- but along side them. The Pillars were meant to challenge the populace, the S.H.C.P meant to police them.
"Q" meant to lead them.

Stevie was taken aback. Her territory? This school was hers. Hers alone... Unless....
"What do you mean 'your territory'?"
Stevie's head turned ever so slightly, her curiosity peaking. What could this chick mean?

She would gently kick the shoulder of the one on the ground, his body jiggling just a bit from the pressure.
"I mean I run and represent the gang, protecting the school from people like these. Similar to yourself, but with a lighter tone. I don't make any claim to higher authority, such as yourself and the Pillars. You have power you've taken, sanctioned by the Administration. As does the current School Captain. Both of you have badges, offices. The power and authority here shifts between the student body, and your two groups."
She jammed a thumb at herself.
"My power doesn't."
She would step around the body and, with a gentle push of her right foot, leap up onto the little wall that encased the water fountain. She'd walk along it a little until she came up next to Stevie, where she would crouch and rest her forearms on her legs.
"I don't trust authority, and I don't trust power. I don't ask for a title, I don't ask for respect or honor or authority. Too many times it's corrupted- at one time, it almost had it's claws in me. Instead, I simply protect this place and it's people. To make sure gangs don't rise up and terrorize the students and teachers...and to make sure those in power don't abuse it."
The mildest of threats to be followed by-
"-me and my group will respect the hierarchy and the S.H.C.P, so long as they continue to respect and honor the vow they have taken. From what I've seen so far...that won't be a problem."

Stevie smiled and visually relaxed.
"You remind me of a girl I know here. Y'all might fight a bit. She'd enjoy it though."
Stevie Shrugged and nudged the body with her new boots.
"As long as you aren't breaking our rules here and don't step on someone who can't fight back, I have no qualms with you."
Stevie liked her. A lot.
"You remind me of the woman i'd like to think I am. And you don't want a job?"
Stevie did need a better second...

"Q" would cock a brow.
"Oh? And who would that be? Maybe I should track her down and ask her to join me."
She would glance away as Stevie offered her a job.
"No, I don't think so. I'll go as far as a...treaty of peace, you might say. So long as you keep doing good, and I keep doing good...we can stay out of each others way. We have plenty more to deal with anyway. Though....I must ask, are you sure you wouldn't like to leave a job? "Aftershock" will be growing in numbers and strength soon. We could use you, and if the S.H.C.P has a new technical manager, why not throw off the chains and join us?"
She would watch Stevie and wait.

Stevie grinned.
"Her name is Emily. Emily Suddenlink... Wait thats not right, is it?"
She denied the job. Huh, oh well. But then offered Stevie a position. Stevie's grin softened into a smile. and she shook her head.
"No, sorry. I can't trust some kid to lead the School into the right spot. He... I don't know. Something about him doesn't seem quite right. I'm honestly worried he'll abuse the situation. As much as I'd like to join a fellow Do-Gooder, I can't just up and leave the position to another I can't trust to do the right thing."

"Mm."
Perhaps "Q" could take a different approach.
"Then don't leave your position and join anyway."
She'd sit on the wall.
"On paper, I'm the founder- I de-factor lead from a general standpoint. For instance, during meetings, I help to direct the flow of conversation and keep people on track. I monitor my members to make sure they aren't abusing things. But in a similar way, they monitor me. I'm also the only one who will know everyone's identity. But, we don't have a proper structure- no one person to point to as our head, no claimant to leader. No one in my gang is 'under me'- we are equals. If someone else wishes to take on my duties, we vote and they may do so. If someone comes and beats me in a fight, however, our gang would still break down. At least, until someone in it challenges me for the role of "Strongest", as you'd say, and takes over that right. I wear this mask to protect myself- my real self- from reprisal in the things I wish to do outside of "Aftershock"."
She leaned forward a little.
"Put on a mask, and accept a name I'll give you. You can step around the requirements of your position by donning it and our colors, without relinquishing your hold on the S.H.C.P or withdrawing from authority. You can be both."
She tilted her head to the side, waiting for how her response would go.

Stevie looked at the ground as if it held her answer. Did she think it was a good idea, maybe. Did she think it would work, protecting her true identity? No. Stevie would always step out and protect those who could do the same. Always. What answer could she give?
"I..." She hesitated, her voice cracking slightly due to non committal voice box usage. What should she say?
"You know what, why the hell not? If I can't retain my position as SHCP Captain, then at least I can still keep it safe from the wings. You got a deal."
She'd walk over to the wall and offer a hand. She really wanted to pull the girl down and confirm her theories about the girl's identity, but she didn't. She just offered a handshake and left it at that.

"Q" took the hand, not shaking hard at all, letting Stevie be the tighter squeeze. She knew what her mask did- even if they had the same voice, fought the same way, had the same strength or even if you were suspicious....it confuddled the person into not confirming it was Em. She just shook lightly in order to leave "Q" under estimated- always better to fight from that perspective. " Cool. You're new name, then, is "Tremor". Usually, in the group, we go by letters. "Q" for me. "T" for you. Just makes things easier. You'll be responsible for your own mask- and they are required. None of us want to worry about you outside of the group." She'd reach inside her pants pocket and withdraw a patch that looked sort of like a triangle, but was wider at the base. it had "A.S." on it in bold letters. " Sew this into your "Aftershock" clothes however you'd like. I'll let you know when next we meet."

Stevie cocked an eyebrow.
"You are really playing into this mysterious thing aren't you?"
She took the patch and looked over but, memorizing every part of it. Something about it made her uneasy. She couldn't place her finger on why.

"Q" would shrug.
"Kind of the point, isn't it? Step outside yourself, and fight without boundaries or restrictions. Most of all...remain anonymous. How can you make someones life hell....when you don't know who they are?"
She'd glance at the patch, as Stevie seemed....apprehensive.
"....is there a problem?"
