Physical Appearance
Willowy and curvy, and lanky in the leg, Annie has an otherwise average body that seems to be in decent physical condition, though it could be better. Her hair is naturally pink with odd green orbs that seem naturally entangled, but able to be separated by her. There seems to be green strands that pulse and glow faintly, but brighter when she activates her qi, which seems to be directly correlated to the orbs. Her eyes are green and roughly the same hue as the orbs, usually wide-eyed without appearing shocked.

Annie Mei has no idea where she and Illustra come from, just that they woke up on the edge of a dark and stormy place. She has some vague recollections of her family - hence how she knows Illustra is her sister - and an inkling of some huge swatch of carnage and a life that was more pain than anything else, but nothing concrete enough for her to be able to say with belief it's true or untrue.

Usually chipper and with an almost childlike wonder and curiosity for the world, Annie tends towards being a force of cheer. One could say she's full of energy, typically never truly sitting still, or almost hyper-actively engaged with something that catches her interest.

...until it doesn't, and she's on to the next thing.

AMP - Amplified Metaphysical Phase-Shifting

Annie's qi typically manifests as small orbs within her hair, with strands being a softly glowing green in staggered variations along them. They usually stay nestled in her hair but can float nearby; they don't seem to be attached to the green segments of her hair at all. At this point, it's unknown if the green strands are capable of anything more than glowing. She can remove these spheres from her hair and launch them in a direction. They remain solid, and seem to become much harder. Two things may happen: either the sphere stays as-is, or:

i. Phase-Shift: Annie's body begins vibrating at such a high frequency that she seems to shift into pure energy/qi and jumps to the dislodged sphere (which starts to glow as her own energy increases) to join it; she can control the direction she moves even in this state. This phase shift can happen for a short period of time (1 post to start), and all her stats shift to match her ENERGY stat for that period. Additional posts may be acquired with time and experience, using only this qi move in particular. While in this form she has the ability to ricochet off objects or people.

ii. Illumination: Mei-Mei can make the orbs and tendrils of hair that happen to be green glow or dim at will; usually handy for lighting up spaces. If she happens to be holding an orb, she can cup her hand around it and thus direct the light into more of a flashlight-like cone.

iii. TILT-Proof: Once per thread, if Annie is damaged beyond an acceptable level, her qi automatically kicks in and she dissipates into pure qi and seems to disintegrate from view; she will then automatically re-manifest in the closest safe location within a 250m radius from her former position. If this is within an event, the GM may deem when it kicks in; moreover, it is the GM's choice as to where Annie Mei re-manifests.

a. SLAM!TILT (TILT-Proof Upgrade): Once per thread, if Annie is damaged to critical levels, her qi automatically kicks in and she dissipates into pure qi and seems to disintegrate from view; she will then automatically re-manifest in the closest safe location within a 400m radius from her former position with a portion of her damage healed (1/2). If this is within an event, the GM may deem when it kicks in; moreover, it is the GM's choice as to where Annie Mei re-manifests. Her energy is decreased by 1/4 for the remainder of the thread, or up to 1/2 depending on how severe the damage is; up to GM how much energy and which injuries are healed. This ability has not been upgraded yet.

iv. Overcharge: While holding onto an orb, Annie Mei can overcharge it, causing the energy to flare outward from the point of contact, and force-push it outward from herself. This has the force equal to her ENERGY stat. Limited to two uses per thread. Additional uses may be acquired with time and experience, using only this qi move in particular.

v. Multi-Ball Phase Shift: Annie can throw multiple balls in rapid succession (2-3 max) and then Phase-Shift to the first, and then jump to each subsequent ball while still in her Shifted form.

vi. FWOOSH: Tucking an orb beneath each foot - with a stabilizer sphere in each hand - Annie can achieve flight! She can move with a speed of 75% or 3/4 of her ENERGY. Flight-time is (GM to pick) ENERGY/4 ENERGY/5 posts per thread.
