Brief History of 63
Before the war, the area was a small town in Northern California, a sleepy place where little happened. But when Qi users started to manifest and the war began to tear their war asunder their home was quickly destroyed under the weight of violence that suddenly loomed over them all. Strangers with powers that defied logic took what they wanted and would kill each other and anyone that looked at them sideways in the streets. Those that were able to quickly left, and those that couldn't were at the mercy of those stronger than them. If it wasn't for the founder then the small town would have been wiped off of the map. But the town was home to a small dojo with a master from the East, a man who had retired to live a quiet existence near his daughter and to pass on his art.
The Master rallied who he could and helped to fight off the thugs that had invaded their town. Word traveled and more people slowly flocked to the town, fighting and learning under the Master. It became a safe place of sorts, against the Qi users at least.
