Territory 112 is a strange one to be sure. Taking up the majority of the north eastern United States it stands as a testament to accomplishments with Qi research and development. During the arms race that was the War for Power the origination known as Prota was the most tenacious when it came to advancing their understanding of Qi, working with Qi drugs and genetic splicing when at all possible. Little is known about their society or really anything that goes on inside of Prota besides the rumors and general actions of people from Prota who leave for whatever various reason. Though the majority are Prota soldiers, there has been the sighting of a civilian or Prota escapee.
Rumor has it that unlike the rest of the world where Qi is mostly rare or not seen all together, every citizen of 112 has Qi. They say Prota Academy is also some sort of huge laboratory where they take civilians and infants and augment them to give them Qi abilities, most everyone refers to these as Artificial Qi. There are drugs that have this effect that most Academy's have a small stock of, Prota literally changes you in some way. You go in one way and come out different. Could be the nicest person going in and come out a brooding angry mess. Protans refer to this change as "Truth" as they believe this is awakening their true selves.
Even less is known about the leading body or government of 112, when things happen that require diplomacy it's always some high ranking Protan Soldier or scientist.
When it comes to interactions with other territories before the Accords they were not known for leaving survivors or the capture of many prisoners. Very prone to genocide or wiping out entire swaths of people. The "Unworthy"
Prota Military Ranks
Prota is very military oriented and thus has many ranks to go through Starting with;
Initiate's. They represent a new born, or someone who has been optimized with a battle form for the first time and joined the ranks of the Protan military. They are the blank slate foot soldier with no responsibility beyond listening to orders.
5th Class. The 5th Class Prota Soldier is a graduate from the Academy, assigned a squad and a 'Lead'. They are generally optimized a second time to increase their battle potency. Their responsibilities range from border patrol's, recapture, or front line duties.
4th Class. These soldiers are tasked with missions of policing the protectorates, spending most of their time away from the capital. Months at a time in the field, or in deep cover observing the coming and going of other nations, or undertaking the more violent needs of the Capital.
3rd Class. The 3rd Class Prota Soldier is gifted with a 'Qi Beast Crystal' and set about the task of filling it with a Qi Beasts soul to add to their battle forms. They are the lowest rung of the Elite Unit ladder, but should not be under estimated. They are optimized once more once they have obtained a Beast Soul to double their effectiveness in the field. After which they are able to become 'Lead' positions for new 5th Class squads, or remain a squad and carry out more important tasks like defending the capital, defending Prota secrets, and total cleansing of the weak elements.
2nd Class. These soldiers are the Ace's. The go to Soldier when things hit the fan, go crazy, or out of hand. They are battle tested, and totally loyal soldiers capable of great devastation. They are generally seen in the company of VIP members of Prota, or even in The Emperor's very own hand picked squads. It is said a 2nd Class Prota Soldier has the same effectiveness in the field as a Dragon Voice.
