She was pretty moody lately it is hard to get a grasp on what she was feeling she'd rather not be feeling anything at all if it was going to be this way but that thought process is what makes her feel like she could slap herself. She needed to get this funk resolved in order for it to go away. Otherwise, there was no forcing it out. She wanted to understand what it was.
She was struck with some epiphany and she did some deep thinking. Young amongst those here at Cabal she as never seen a real battlefield but she began to think about what she'd really die for and what she'd kill for. She pondered what she stood for, what would make the destruction she was going to cause worth the cause? What does she stand for that she believes would be worth making an enemy out of someone?
Sitting cross-legged on a tall rock soaking up the sun in the early hours again she was weighing her options and choices. In her mind her parents were dead, her Great Aunt was all she really had, but fighting for her sake never seemed right. The Sweet old lady doesn't need to lose sleep if Rhona is splitting skulls to honor and protect her way of life. Fighting for Justice? Avenging her parent's death? It goes against her Father's and other Mentor's teachings. Even if Rhona studied mixed-martial arts there were other things to know than how to disable and grapple her opponent, she fell asleep on the most determined of days practicing quelling the negative energies. But that was her main drive to Cabal. Gaining strength, to have the power to wipe the floor with them, and those like them. She was fortunate to have the power she has to be here.
Waiting for the moment to arrive when He would start his own day. She wanted to speak with him and needed to express. Likely she understood it would fall on deaf ears and likely she'd not raise a candle to how much his power had grown. But she does not underestimate her opponent this time, that blade won't cut her skin... this time.

His days always started before dawn. Habits from back home. He'd already gone out and done his morning exercises and drills by the time he was heading back to the Academy to grab something to eat. He spied the blonde woman from before, the one that had challenged him with respect sitting on a large rock. He'd give her a small nod in acknowledgment as he continued on his way toward the main buildings and part of campus.

She looked at the warrior as he nodded to her, She'd nod with a simple, "Good Morning..." not yet having the words to say what she needed. She tried to figure out how to start and it was not often she was kind of at loss for words. So out with it, it poured.
"Blake... I won't bother you with questions that end in "Why?", but you are festering. I understand, but I also can say from experience that it is not right. Weapons backfire when people use them wrong and can't control them." She stood. "When you cut me... you left something in my energy and it is hard for me to remember what I believe in because it is so certain. Anything I say to you will not be heard... but talking you to death is not what I am here for."
She got into her stance and faced him once more. "Do you mind if I challenge you again? So that I am to hopefully remember what my resolve is without your infection."

He blinked at the sudden and unexpected word vomit being thrown at him. Apparently, basic manners were something that he should avoid if he wanted to be left alone. He had nothing to say to what she expressed, mostly because he could barely follow just what she was saying. It felt disjointed and scattered. The fight challenge, however, that was something he understood. "As you wish." He'd indicate he was ready for combat as his hand moved to his blade, his thumb pressing upward to loosen the blade from it's sheath so he'd be able to unsheath it quickly and smoothly. His eyes immediately narrowed and focused on her. Destroy her.Something rumbled deep within him and he found himself nodding slightly despite himself. He could do that. His arm bulged as his body began to mutate, his bones cracking and snapping as his nails grew into claws. Unlike last time however his eyes began to shift into a deep red as his pupils narrowed into slits. He'd lunge at the woman, his blade unsheathing for a vertical slice aimed to go from the level of the woman's left hip and across her chest over her right shoulder. Qi Use 1/18

Knowing he was going to come with the sword, it would not take much speed in her plan to slam a glowing foot and shove back in a quick twist. Attacking the ground making a sizable indention was her first move and using her momentum, Hoping to be clear of it she'd land with a skid a sideways stance to bend low on and raise a palm with a quick bright light. She needed to get inside his range or else she'd not get a hit on him. An incredible disadvantage, she rolled her shoulders straightening her small-jacket feeling the Qi surge through her body.
"I'm not a monster... Neither are you!" Who she'd be trying to convince was a bit confusing. Be herself or him... or both? If there was no doubt in what she was so certain of why would she have to convince or question either of them? But two voices so absolutely certain with each other were conflicting and unmoving. Opposing winds of hot and cold make a hurricane.
She was Glowing from head to toe and the heat rising from her make an upward current affecting mostly her hair and mildly loser clothes. She'd attack the ground again to make a sizable leap onto a bit of the terrain. She hoped the uneven land would gain her a high advantage point. This method of things was a reason her great aunt called her a Rabbit. Maybe Rhona hadn't moved very fast but She hoped to land a powerful hit as soon as she found an opening. It was all about landing that blow and avoiding the blade the best she could.

His first strike missed it marks this time around, but such things didn't concern him. He followed through with his strike, stepping inward and bringing the blade back up as the woman flashed him again with her power. Though this time his eyes had changed and adapted to that tactic. While the flash of light cut off much of his vision he was still able to pick up and follow her heat signature. Which meant when she leaped upward for her surprise attack he was ready for it. He roared in pain and frustration as he tilted his body back to his chest pointed upward. His tunic blasting open as the beam of energy fired out of his chest, searing his flesh as it traveled toward the spirited blonde fighter. She wasn't the only one with tricks now. Chest Canon - Blake's chest fires out a beam of concentrated energy at his opponent adding 125% of his energy stat as his attack for the blast. However, the attack deals 1/2 of his energy stat to himself.
Monster vision lvl 1 - His eyes turn red with slits for pupils that allow him to see further into the electromagnetic spectrum up to and including heat and night vision. These keen eyes allow him to pick up on details he may otherwise miss +2 Perception
Special: Ring of Bountiful Energy +8 Energy - Once per thread after all calculations are finished Blake may add 8 to an energy attack.

She was already in the air and didn't have anything to avoid the blast. This was incredibly new and she was baffled that he could still see where she was. The only thing she could do was cross her arms over her chest and face to block what she might possibly as it slammed into her. The force of it was incredible and it sent her flying higher. It was actually... hot... She felt the burn of it. Not the total effect but she did feel the impact and it sent her a good distance into a wall. Certainly, ribs were broken. most certainly one of her shoulders was dislocated. She could not but take short breaths while her body cried for air. As she had done in some days of her past she took a quick shove to her shoulder to hear the pop as it snapped back into place.
her skin was red and tender like a bad sunburn it would blister in places. This degree of burn has not happened to her in many... many years. She was not his equal and he was already light years ahead of her... or so it felt. She didn't have a chance, He was merciless, She does not fight like this. The only thing they had in common was a sense of duty and Honor. Everything else was not the same. That was all she had to prove to herself, the fight was still going however and once her shoulder was popped into place again she was making her way back to him to continue.
She was still not sure how he saw where she was moving to but it was not on her mind. She'd plan to get in range and was going to predict two things to happen. Either the sword was going to come out for her or he'd faint and opening to let her into his grip... Those being her guesses she had an idea for her next move and will improvise its execution on the spot.

As she was blasted back into the wall he brought his hand up to his chest, his fingers gingerly touching the seared flesh. He still didn't understand how he was doing that, but it just felt natural. He could feel his instincts or something guiding him on how to use it. Sometimes at least. It was easier to hear when he was angry, but he still felt it in the back of his head. Always there... When she began to approach him again, refusing to stay down he'd narrow his eyes as his grip tightened on his blade. Rushing forward toward her he'd bring his sword slashing horizontally at her midsection. He'd probably not cut her, but he might be able to send her back into the wall from the force of his strike alone. Qi Use 3/18

He was simply predictable with already broken ribs she was hit by the sword and knowing the consequences of that action he was already up to speed and it could not be helped. But she simply hitched a ride grabbing his monstrous arm and feeling the fester effect starting up once again. "Not me, Not me..." she'd say as she exhaled, A Mantra she chanted in hushed tones as she hoisted herself over the monster arm and darted up it. Closing the the distance to his face to bring a knee slamming his nose with just as much strength as before. She was giving it her all.
The festering in her would cause her to hate again adding to the kick all her rage and frustration. "Not me..." she kept whispering to herself as she weaned on how true or false those words.

The blade had met it's mark and Rhona would get the chance to learn that he didn't need to draw blood with the blade to infect her with his malice. She might call him predictable, and she'd be right. He was a warrior fighting children, and while he'd not dull his blade he'd yet to feel the need to truly bring himself to unleash everything he knew against these people. Though that did lead to him getting kneed in the face, and his nose cracking with a break as blood began to pour from the wound. Only for a moment, however, as his nose would snap back into place, the wound starting to heal before their eyes. With a growl, he'd fling his monstrous arm as hard as he could toward the wall that he'd flung her into before. He'd like to get them reacquainted. Qi Use 5/18

Regeneration - His body heals quickly and he can expend one use of his Qi to heal 1/2 his energy in damage. This power also cuts recovery time between threads in half.
Tarnished Blade - Once per thread a landed blow with this blade will fester as it's dark energy continues to sear the wound dealing 3/4th of the attack's damage again for four consecutive posts.

She had tried to get a grip on the rough and wiry hide that covered his arm but the force he exuded was far greater than she could have held on even if she had a firm grip. She would be sent flying back into the wall... He was tossing her around like a ragdoll... a ragdoll that would suddenly have blood running from her lips and choking her. She fell to the ground and held herself up by the knees and one hand. Winning wasn't the point... It wasn't then why do this? Her own mental voice sounded different to her as if it was laughing at her. Weren't you trying to prove something? You are certainly showing him...
The festering. She suddenly hadn't felt as much fear in this moment as she had in... Since she knew something happened that day. More of those memories and everything that would anger her or mess with her head came up. Every cross glance, Every mean word she was called, Suspicion, and hate. The Fester brought them bubbling up and started putting Blake in every bit of it. She wasn't dumb she noticed people thinking she was a Freak or wishing they had a Qi ability or scared that Rhona would bring them harm. She noticed the shit her parents got for it through the years even if they tried to keep it at bay. The "not again..." looks of disappointment when Rhona would mess up or lose control. It was hard to get out of trouble when you punch a kid in the face once and everytime the others got some careless burn it had to be Rhona's fault.
"It's not me... not me... not me." Her whole body was beginning to glow again hoping to do something. Maybe burn the fester from her. She looked up at him with glowing eyes, just watching and focusing on him. It was trying to make her forget what that mantra meant. It was actually doing a good job as the words in her mind began to twist themselves to sound different. She gripped handfuls of dirt, hardly being able to rise from her kneel just yet. She probably couldn't pass out this time seems her fester wants to keep herself awake for every second it was infecting her. She focused on her words. "Not me... not me..." Over and over again in a raspy voice.
Not sure what Blake would do but she was going to keep going.

And like that, it seemed that the fight was over. She was still awake, she wasn't dead. But it was done. She could barely stay upright, let alone stand. Her power was flaring up, but she made no move to strike him. Rather she just kept mumbling to herself, worthless. And disappointing. With a roll of his eyes, he'd sheathe his blade and force his arm to revert back to its human form. "That's it?" With a click of his tongue, he'd turn his back on her and start back toward the building. He still wanted to have breakfast. Something with protein. As for her? Well, if she could use her Qi then she could get herself to the infirmary.

Honestly, she was expecting a finishing blow and yet he just turned away. She rose just so that she was upright. Even if still on her knees and her back barely supporting her weight. With a yell of anger, she threw one fist full of sand at him in spite. "Blake! You've grown so much, You're always just out of reach... But that means I am close! Soon, I will make you cast your shadow elsewhere!" She took a deep breath despite the pain. "Because I am me... Not You!"
Yeah, she's gotten tired of losing to him. Her anger towards him is not her own but it is now becoming apart of her. She doesn't hate him, the stain he left in her, a taste at the back of the tongue was her dislike that he was growing so strong and growing so hateful. He was feeding a monster that might consume him. She felt the drive to keep up and the drive to have the strength to defeat him.
Whether her words meant anything to him didn't matter all he needed to know was that as he was Dusk and she was Dawn and she will be chasing him.

Name: Ability? Requirements: 10 Def Job: Get hit by an ability Bonus: Get hit by an ability that does 20 worth of dmg or more. Payout: +1 exp
Bonus met
Payout: +2 exp, Qi Mutation+
The infectious nature of the energy traveling through Blake's sword seemed to have worked both ways, Rhona's Qi attempting to over power the infection stained the energy in the sword and in turn latched onto Blake's aura.
Blake: Sun & Moon - Blake has discovered a new sword technique, By channeling the fury and hatred of the sun, along with the monstrous power he naturally possesses the blade can either explode in a ray of solar energy at any time the wielder choses causing a knock back effect (Can propel wielder if allowed), doing Blake's total energy in damage, or can feed off a festering opponent adding the damage done by the infection to the blades damage calculations up to Blake's full energy.
Rhona's attempt to over power the infection of Blake's rage has caused it more or less to meld into her own power, changing parts of it slightly, however they are now part of her.
Rhona: Feral Nature - Whenever Rhona gives in to her primal side her hair turns black and becomes frayed and stands up like a feral animal, nails sharpen and elongate slightly, along with sharp teeth and enlarged canines. She In this form she always lands on her feet/or upright, can see in the dark, and adds half her energy stat to her attack and speed.

"No one said you were."
He'd leave it at that. She didn't know what her deal was or why she was having such an identity crisis. Frankly, he didn't care. It wasn't his job to figure out who she was for her, and he wasn't going to pretend that it was. That was fully her problem.
