When she charged at him he'd stop channeling his Qi into the ground at his feet and suddenly hop to the side so that he changed up his evasive tactics. It meant he would be slower, but the movement would be jerky, sudden, different than everything he'd done thus far. It was important for her to understand that he was far from a one trick pony if they were to work together and be useful to each other she needed to understand how he thought. It was, unfortunately, a two-way street.
"The only way you can slow me down is if you lack any and all skills that can be of use on the field. We have established that is false. You have Qi potential, you are clearly quick-witted to have made it onto the compound undetected." Even if she had more to learn given that she'd been caught. "You tell me what your strengths are and I can play to them and plan with those in mind. If you feel that you are weak in a specific area I can try to get you up to an acceptable standard. Though you may dislike my methods, proven and time-tested as they may be."
He kept his face blank of emotion as he watched his shrouded figure, ready to spring into action when she strikes at him next. Transfering some energy into the small figurine that he kept in his pocket.

"Dislike yar Methods?" She chuckled as she was close yet again and he sidestepped. "One thin' ya could learn about me, is I'll do anythin' to get the job done. Nobody tells me I can't, for any reason."
His body was suddenly easier to read he was slower but seemed she was still not quite going to get him within her reach. Something didn't feel right though... A feeling she got was most certainly on the same page as her instincts. She upped her senses again to find some clue as to what it could be. Catching his arm twitch as it rested in his pocket she heard him fiddling. She could be some habit or it could be something else... she'll let it happen regardless what it might be and continue her footing reaching out as she'd get close again.
Goodness, so this is what it felt like to be slow. She can see how this would have angered some of her "not" clients.

He continued moving backward, shoving his hands in his pockets as he twisted his torso to avoid the oncoming hands trying to tag him. He was still waiting for her to show him something new, some kind of trick up her sleeve. But until that happened he felt comfortable that he'd found her rhythm in this little exchange.

She scoffed at his warning, not that she didn't take his words lightly but she was already certain of her conviction to succeed. "With all due respect, 'im say..." She repeated his words. The truth was she could not imagine anything he'd do that she hadn't thought would be done to her already. Not having a particularly good view of Cabal she expected to be tested, experimented, and be beaten till she couldn't breathe. She expected to be treated like a meat bag and a weapon. an object of war.
"If I even thought I'd piss out on anythin' I wouldn't 'ave signed up in the first place." She heard a slight tick from her wrist as thoughts of getting faster made it into her mind there was a blur and she gained a new burst of speed she brought her hand in close but not too far, instead it was a foot that leaped forward. She placed that very foot to pin his hopefully before he sidestepped or stepped back and then the hand would come forward. It was soon after that the rush of feeling wore off just before she would wrap her fingers to grab him. Was her quick burst enough to catch him off guard? Whether she did or not she'd say one more thing looking him right in the eye. "I'm more than ready for anything ya throw at me."

There it was, the hidden trick he'd been waiting for. She had been holding back something, something in reserve. Good on her. Her foot would catch his own under as she grabbed him thanks to her burst of speed. Though it wasn't so fast that he couldn't follow her movements. And as she grabbed him, letting him know that she was ready for anything his own hand would shoot forward. Like a viper striking from its nest, he'd strike with the intention of wrapping his hand around her neck.
"I doubt that."
And if he managed to grab her he'd throw his weight to the side as he dropped to a knee to pull her down and slam her to the ground. By the throat.

Her throat was caught and her weight was thrown. Her body was slammed and her breath was halted. He had brought her to the ground faster than she could have thought... and it hurt. She gripped the arm that was around her neck and tested it to see if she could remove it but his words processed through her mind and it was at the moment she'd stare at him breathing through her teeth fangs visible.
"Aye?" She'd take a breath. "Try me!" was all she could muster to say but she meant it.

He'd stare at her in silence as if weighing her as she bared her teeth at him. Defiance palatable in the air as she stared back at him. She was inviting him to try her. He liked that kind of attitude. He'd slowly release her neck from his grip and stand up, straightening his coat before offering her a hand up.
"Tomorrow morning. At dawn."

She'd take a deep breath as he released his hand and lift her self from the ground. A hand already going to the slight bruising she might have there. But seeing his hand she had no second thoughts on her answer while taking it and hoisting herself with his aid. Like she said before she knew this kind of thing was going to happen as soon as she signed up. This is what they do, meat bags get beat and become better meat bags. Still, if she was to do anything about it playing the game and knowing the rules helps. Eric was offering that.
Her expression was stoic and serious, she was determined to prove him wrong and show him otherwise. "I'll be there." They might form a strong team yet.
