Now that everything with the train was sorted out and he had returned to Cabal Blake was taking this time to examine the blade that he'd won from the magic man.  He was out in the training yard with the blade in hand, testing both it's weight and inspecting it visually.  He wanted to check the craftsmanship of the blade along with it's balance to see if it was worth using, or display only.

Blake would find the blade to be finely crafted, designs that look asian in language however are more runic on the blade. With it's swing it leaves a black line with purple glow around it. It however remains true to it's form, and is but a rapier, a foil of types. Near perfectly balanced, and agile.

The balance felt good, natural in his hands. Unlike his own sword this one was made for thrusts and quick feints. It belonged to a different school, but he believed he could make it work. He was trained in multiple styles, and while it may not be his primary, he was confident in his ability to adapt.

He noted the black lines that moved with his swing and the glow that engulfed it. Curious as such things did not happen when the Magic man fought him. At least not that he recalled. Perhaps it was reacting to the Qi energy inside of him? Did the beast call to this blade as it did him? He'd bring the blade up, lightly tracing the runes on the blade as he waited to see if his beast responded or spoke to him.

Blake would feel the beast inside reach for the blade without him, his arm transforming without his will, painfully and all at once, instantly. The blade grew with it and was now engulfed in a black flame with that same purple glow. Instead of a four foot rapier he was now holding an eight foot long rapier, and it seemed just as hungry as the beast.

Trait Discovered: This Weapon reacts to the Qi of the user taking similar forms as it's user. Bigger? Smaller? Full of spikes? The blade will react. Completely turn to fire? Feeling angry? Urge to kill rising? The blade does the same.

He hissed in pain as his arm transformed without his will. The first time it had done such in a long time. But the beast within was stirring. He could feel it's thirst, and the blade echoed the sentiment. His brows furrowed as he would lunge at the nearest tree. Looking to stab it and see what happened!

[Leon]

The blade would eat straight through the tree with Blake's massive power, however once the thrust were retracted there would be a black flame with the purple glow on the wound, and one of the three runes on the blade would glow.

The next step seemed simple. He'd thrust into the tree three more times to see what happened when the runes were all glowing.

[Leon]

The three "wounds" would remain consistent with the flame, though it did not burn the tree. And the runes were all glowing, however nothing seemed to be happening.

His brow furrowed, he had expected something big and flashy. He'd reach out to touch the runes again as they glowed.

[Leon]

The first rune he touched would fall dim. The entire area grew instantly dark, in a purple hue over taking the land as a bolt of purple energy struck from the heavens at the wounded tree, splitting it thoroughly and setting it ablaze!

Trait Discovered Target Marking - Marked targets can be struck by "Death's Bolt" doing 25 DMG. The downside is it is dodge able or can miss. Multiple runes can be used at once to stack damage.

[Blake Oleander]

"Whoa..."

That was... unexpected. Something like this could be quite potent in his hands. He'd look back to his monster arm and scowl.

"And what the hell do you want with this?"

[Leon]

There was obviously no response from the beast at this time, besides the arm beginning to change back. Perhaps it was also curious as to what the blade could do.

[Blake Oleander]

"That's what I thought."

He snorted before giving the blade another flourish in the air. He might just use this blade. A fine start to his collection.
