"This is an Object Perso. Basically, this is linked to the one who drove the mech. It's supposed to be destroyed when the mech goes down but....seems we got to it in time."
He chewed his lip.
"Now if only we had the power to reverse engineer it..."

He would continue to peer at the stone.

The man would nod.

He'd offer it over to him.

Preston would take the stone into his hands carefully, feeling the weight of it.
"Edrush Aroth".
He whispered, gently to the Stone as he cast Detect Magic on it. Trying to identify if it was Qi powered and if so how.

The instant his magic touched it, the stone hummed and lifted four inches off Prestons hand. It shifted around him and started out the door, now glowing brightly!
"Oh Shit!"
Preston could either follow it or let it go!

The mechanic got up and followed, grabbed his roman-esque sword off the wall to join Preston! (Preston gains an ally for the thread. Immon Juncture, mechanic and warrior. Stats: 25 attack, 15 for the rest)
"You think it's smart to go after this thing? We don't even know where it's taking us..."
It continued through the halls, then out the front doors. It was heading for the gates, where workers were removing rubble and attempting to rebuild.

It crossed the street and started downtown. They'd need to move at a jog to keep up!

The stone stopped suddenly and shot down, blasting into the ground, creating a marble sized hole in the concrete. There was a subway station nearby, along with several sewer entrances.

The man looked around then rushed over to a manhole, ripping the top off easily.
"I'll go in first."
He pulled out a flashlight and started down. Once they were inside, they'd just notice the stone flash by the intersection up ahead!
"There it goes-!"
He'd followed prestons lead. Though off behind them they'd hear some splashing....

Preston would follow, holding up a hand as he channeled his inner energy.
"Êras".
He whispered again. a small ball of light appearing a few inches in front of him. He'd glance behind them at the splashing before taking off after the stone, not wanting to lose it.

Preston would see nothing behind, so off they went to follow the stone!
As they came around the corner they'd see it's light flickering in the distance. Despite the smell, it was easy enough to move around. As they headed down that way and around the corner, they'd hear the low din of voices....
