"Damien Blaze, just to see if two plus two is four, or if it could be some other variable instead of one of the twos. Otherwise...the bigger players in this scenario. General Akrin from the TV coverage, Leon Sudeki, Mathew Amtrum, David Blaze. I'd also prefer to know any relevant experimentation information, but I can only assume that's too much to ask if the names aren't, already."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"I can send a letter and ask for information on those individuals you've listed. He might be willing to make a deal."

He doubted Barker would give it to him for free.

[Kyrie Blaze]

"I trust your judgement to know if the tabled offer is too steep a price."

And how to whittle it down.

"If it's not feasible at the end of the day, there are alternative methods."

They had a different cost, though.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"I will keep you in the loop with what I hear back."

[Kyrie Blaze]

”Okay.” Kyrie took an easy breath, relaxed, though she didn’t slump. “Is there anything else that is pertinent..?”

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Just one thing. What are you looking for with the Blaze Brothers?"

Since both of them were on her little list.

"And what do you intend to do when you have your answers"?

[Kyrie Blaze]

"If the stunt with Damien was related to experimentation, I need to assess whether he and David were at all experimented on and how far it goes...if it can at all be reversed permanently. Or how. Damien mentioned that Territory Two might be able to do something, but I do not hedge bets on a might, or blindly think everything would be alright. I need to know."

Perhaps the cuffs for David meant it shut down any experimentation. In that case, she would do one of two things: cuff him, or cuff him and take him down as she had intended five years ago. One way or another she would see it through.

"If it turns out to be true with no way to reverse it permanently, then it comes down to eliminating the threat."

Be it Barker or anyone with the knowledge on how to activate control...or David and Damien themselves.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"I'd just kill him."

He shrugged.

"As for whether it has anything to do with it or not, that's hard to say. Remember, I was an early experiment as well. And my mind has only ever been my own. It's possible that his loyalties are simply not the same as yours or mine".

[Kyrie Blaze]

"That is true."

And still a fair assessment.

"It may depend on when he was experimented on, as research was bound to evolve from when you were to that point, if it differed."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"If it didn't advance at all I'd question what the point of it all was."

[Kyrie Blaze]

She nodded. No real argument there. Even if they found what they wanted and needed to find, they'd wind up pushing further and further. She drew in a breath and exhaled gently.

"Well."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"You're dismissed. Just don't let your feelings for them get in the way of your goals. All of them have their own goals and plans in motion. Remember that."

[Kyrie Blaze]

"Indeed."

Just as Eric himself did. She would do all that was needed and still more. If it was apparent there was no other way, then it would be what it was. She moved to her feet with an ease that not many these days had, all the while remaining careful enough that she didn't overly aggravate her ribs.

"Take care, in the mean time."

Away she would walk.

"When you are ready, I would enjoy seeing how far you've come."

Beyond those words, he would not try to stop her leaving. Nor would he move from his spot. He was content with how things were moving on Kiyr's front and with the meeting.
