HEY! GIMME A THING! (David/GM, Arianna?)

Unless Tina was going to do something that would wind up with her hurt.

Arianna snatched a rope, quickly, and snagged the saw before Tina's teenage fingers could grasp it. It was of an appropriate length that she could get a fair distance up the tree. So, the blonde gave one end of the rope to Tina. It would have to do.

"Wedge the end between your teeth, then you can pull the saw up, after, alright? Once you're up there you can drop one end back down and tie the other just under your arms, around your chest. I'd rather have a harness, but...it will be better than absolutely nothing. Deal?"

Tina's eyes narrowed to thin slits as the saw was taken away, lips pursed into another half scowl as the adult took away her ability to do things. Again. Surprisingly, the other woman gave it back via a rope rather than take it away from her completely. The teen eyed her partner for several seconds, expecting her to take it back the minutes she reached out again, but she was able to grab the rope. Sticking her tongue out at Arianna, she finished pulling herself up on the branch and upright, tying the rope as instructed and giving it an experimental tug.

"There. Happy now?" She eyed her branch that currently served as a seat, then began to stand upright, climbing up higher before cutting some of the branches. If Arianna didn't protest further or try to help, she would continue, no thanks on her lips just yet until she tested the stability of the rope to hold her.

Okay, a lot of the branches. As it was, the landscapers were going to have to mourn the poor tree.

Arianna was already mourning it.

But, at the end of the day, she was okay with Tina doing something if it meant she could feel accomplished. And though, yes, it would technically harm the tree, it was better than harming another human being, or putting herself into an even more dangerous position.

"I'm relieved. Thank you for compromising."

She remained holding the end in a two-handed grip, just in case the young teen did fall.

There was a brief pause at Arianna's thanks, the tree no longer shaking in fear or the effort of Tina's work. Several seconds of stillness passed, then, as a reward, a brief comment before it started shaking again.

"You're weird." Why the heck was she thanking her for listening? People expected it all the time.

More tree branches fell, and the rope in Arianna's hands would start to rattle in her grasp, as though the teen were on her tiptoes and swaying, about to fall!

"Aren't we all..." Arianna trailed off with just the hint of a question in her tone. She didn't expect the tiny teen to answer.

With the rope shaking Arianna started to loop it around her hands. "Tina, are you good?"

It does make one wonder how Tina defines "weird," all things considered. The tree itself began to shake as she continue humming, one of her feet disappearing fro sight as she propped it up on the trunk.

"Yup!" No, no she is not. Abort mission, doctor. Abort. The tree and lack of broken bones will both thank you.

"Tina! Stop a moment, please. The tree is shaking. As in, not stable. As in, if you fall now even the rope is going to save you."

Or her.

"What exactly are you cutting off?"

"Uggggggh. Would you stop being such a baby? I'm only cutting the branches." And possibly part of the main part of the tree where one lone saw isn't going to be able to save her - or the three of them - either. There's a large crack as a massive portion of the tree breaks off from the top where she was cutting! The wood splits as it cracks, the small portion with several of shoot branches plummeting to the ground with Tina holding on like a sloth!

It leaves her hanging upside down from the branch that's about to fall off completely for a moment, long enough for her to stick her tongue out at Arianna before the tiny teen dropped off and scampered off. Assuming Arianna still had the rope, she'd be pulled along as another sickening crack filled the air! That part o th tree wasn't going to be hanging by a thread for long.

Oh god. Arianna's wide-eyed as Tina stuck out her tongue, but not because she stuck out her tongue. Attitude could be dealt with. A huge, heavy, dangerous part of the tree falling and dragging her along - as it was already doing - wasn't. Four chains burst from her back with a wince, and plunged into the ground to act as anchors.

"TINA. By God, I can bet you cut into the trunk and that portion is going to fall..!"

She should probably let go and have Tina learn a valuable lesson that doing stupid things would get one hurt...but...

A branch through her body could kill her and Arianna wasn't wanting to take that chance.

"David, little help, please."

David opened his window, poking his head out before he tsk'd. His voice would be heard by both-

"Dammit. Silly child."

He waved a hand at her, which would create a shield of wind around her body that would protect her from any falling limbs.

"Get out of the tree this instant. What are you, seven years old?"

Ability 1: Armor of the Sky - David is able to use his abilities to create a surface-like vacuum of air that can block a single blow for up to 1/2 energy per thread. David may also use this ability to instead create a suit of armor around an ally rather than himself, blocking a blow they are about to take.

"I"M ALREADY OUT, OLD MAN!" As proven as she starts shoving the branch off of her. Thankfully, David's ability had helped the little one during her determined tumble, scratches and bruises showing where it could have been broken bones or a cracked skull. She stuck her tongue out at David's general direction.

"Do you want the damn door or not?" She huffed and examined the large portion of tree that wasn't teeeeechnicaly destroyed, kind of, and started crawling back under for the sa---

Oh wait. That's blood on her hand and going down her arm.

Arianna felt her stomach drop and churn queasily; it was a good thing that David happened to do something for Tina, as Arianna's chains pulled up from their staked positions in the ground and quickly retracted. Arianna dropped the rope as soon as she saw Tina with her feet on the ground and coiled her arms over her stomach with a slow exhale and soft groan. It seemed she wasn't done feeling sick, since she was out and about helping to deal with those scorpions.

But, upon seeing the blood run down Tina's arm, she moved forward, fighting off the wave of exhaustion and nausea.

"...Tina, hey, wait a minute. There's blood running down your arm. Let me take a look before you get carried away."

Tina was already a third of the way into the branches again with a heavy, aggravated sigh as Arianna wanted her back out. She scooted and stood up, debris and dirt in her hair as she scowled.

"I'm. Fine." She raised up the damaged hand, a twitch of her eyes indicating she wasn't at her best. "See?" There was a large gash down teh side of her upper arm from where one of the smaller branches hand torn through the flesh.

Her arm started to tickle, and she'd feel a slight itch.....as it started healing before their eyes.

Leyak giggled in her head.

'Such lovely pain! I gotsit i gotsit!'

Leyak Damage Abduction

Once per thread, Leyak can heal all wounds obtained by it's owner. Leyak cannot be called out for 8 rounds following, cannot heal severed wounds, if healing life threatening wounds, Leyak dies instead.

"That's not—" Arianna started, frowning and turning the teen's arm to inspect with keen eyes before...it started...healing? On its own? "...fine..?"

She blinked quizzically.

No, her eyes weren't deceiving her.
