Just In Case (Mathew/Closed)

After being healed in the infirmary, Bailey had taken a moment to clean up and grab something from her dorm before going out to find Mathew.  Going by word of mouth and where she normally found him, she went out from Cabal grounds to the training field, hoping this wouldn't take long.

Mathew was there, enjoying some peace and quiet again. Rocking the speedo in the sun. You're welcome ladies.

Thank you, Mathew.

Annnnd this was not what she was expecting. Bailey blinked and looked away with a small flush at the very exposed Dragon, then shook her head. Rude, Bailey. Stop objectifying old men.

She cleared her throat and stepped closer, figuring he'd know she was there before she even said anything, but still letting him know she was seeking him out, specifically.

"Mr. Amtrum? Do you have a moment?"

"What do you want girl?"

He'd stretch but otherwise not move. He was comfy, she could deal.

"I have something for you." She ignored the lack of name for now, continuing until she was closer to the foot of the chair than the head so she could face him.

"I know you have a time-sensitive situation on your hands." She presented two clusters of the orange flowers that she'd pulled off the field medic and offered them to him. "Neither of us really know what you'll find there," meaning the condition of his daughter, "so I want you to have these, just in case."

"I had assumed you and Loki planned to follow along."

Whatever it was he may wish. But he'd take the flowers.

Bailey gave a small shake of her head.

"That was the plan, but I have to take care of my own family and their survival. I don't imagine it will be overly long, but I also doubt you'll wait for us to come back." She let him take the flowers.

"They're not like the ones they used in the tournament's first round. They won't bring you back from the dead or completely heal you, but it will cauterize and burn over any serious or fatal wounds and keep you alive."

He'd snort. She was right, he wouldn't be waiting on her.

"I'm not so easy to kill."

But he'd keep them for his daughter.

"That's about what I figured." Both his verbal and non-verbal response.


Bailey gives Mathew (2) "Cast the Dawn" Leaves: When fed to a dying individual, these leaves can bring them back from the brink of death, healing their (most damaging wounds. It has limited scope, however, and does not affect minor injuries nor decrease the level of exhaustion someone feels.

"Before I go, though." She almost stopped herself. "Last time we spoke, you mentioned something about too much energy for me to handle."

Preferably, they would have this conversation would not involve more stabbing.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"That would be because you're slinging around Chaos like an idiot."

He rolled his eyes.

"Surprised Loki didn't tell you. You want answers, you could talk to Chaos in God territory or something."

[Bailey Oleander]

"Mr. Sudeki talked a bit about what it was and the potential consequences." The second part of his answer got her interest, however.

"I'll keep it in mind. I thought it was hard to get in to talk to the gods?"

[Mathew Amtrum]

"And yet you are talking to me whenever I turn around."

[Bailey Oleander]

She sighed. She really didn't have time or the patience for this.

"Right. Because there's not a crowd oggling you every time you try sunbathing on Cabal grounds, either."
