A deal is a deal (Barker)

[Sean Barker]

Barker would take a deep breath before touching the flower, both hands glowing, the ground softy beginning to tremble as he probed it's energy to copy onto the dagger. The dagger began to glow as the process started.

Blake could remember small flowers like that in the fields, though they were mostly purple or blue depending ont he time of year.

Barker would grit hsi teeth as sweat began to drip from his chin. The ground shook harder as he began to growl in slight pain.

Blake watched, ready to chop off his arm, or whatever as the situation called for.

[Sean Barker]

The rumblong earth would become extreme enough it threatened to know Blake from his feet, fissuring in places as Barker's growl became a yell, before finally Barker pulled his hand away, yanking it away and falling on his ass, breathing heavy and covered in sweat. Still clutching the daggerm eyes closed as he tried to catch his breath.

"What... A rush... Whew..."

Blake did his best to keep his footing as he debated on whether he should end it now. Though that choice was taken from him as it finished and Barker presumably had what he'd promised him.

"How so?"

[Sean Barker]

Barker sat up and held out the dagger for Blake to take.

"It's an extensively intricate network of living organisms... Like a huge councel of minds, thoughts, flows of energy... It was like navigating a hurricane on a surfboard made of bamboo. This has changed so much of the natural order of life not just in this territory, but... This contenent? The world? So much to research I'd never be able to do it in my lifetime."

[Blake Oleander]

"Is there a way I can talk with it?"

He'd ask, taking the dagger.

[Sean Barker]

Barker would shake his head.

"Maybe if it were just one entity, but the veins, the flow, it's evolved, not even a hive mind. Individuals."

[Blake Oleander]

"Hmmmm."

He'd consider it while he tucked the dagger away.

"I will find a way then."

[Sean Barker]

Barker would finally stand up and brush himself off some, grunting with the old age catching him a bit.

"Good luck on that front. Either way, is that all you need of me?"

[Blake Oleander]

"That was our agreement. But if you had something in mind I am listening."

[Sean Barker]

Barker would shake his head.

"I figure if even your territory knows me as a Demon, it best I not stick my face around too long."

[Blake Oleander]

Blake's face contorted with the familiar pain as his arm shifted and morphed into its monstrous form, shredding his clothing as he stared down Barker.

"We are used to Monsters here. Continue to deal with us with honor and respect and we have no issue with your past."

Or at least he wouldn't.

[Sean Barker]

That made him raise a brow.

"Well, I was hoping to be able to run tests, or research into this some more. There could be many things to learn from this power mutating as it has."

[Blake Oleander]

"I would have conditions."

But he isn't opposed to the idea.

[Sean Barker]

"I can work with conditions, as long as they aren't likely to slow advancement too much."
