He nodded. It was tempting to see what piece he was in Barker's mind. But ultimately it didn't matter. One man's pawn was another's King, and another's player. In his own battle, he'd gone from being a soldier to a general. Or a player in Barker's analogy. And his own battle was the only one that mattered.
