She turns and hastily chases after the stone, practically throwing herself to the ground to pick it up and hold it to her chest.
A sigh of relief.

Rose jumps a bit at the sudden voice, mostly because she didn't think anyone knew how to get here. She glances at the boy before looking down at the dirt, not really wanting to face him. Not after he insulted her. It's not like it was a shock. But it's not easy for her to face those who bully her directly, either.
She was going to defend Elias and the fact he was taking steps to help their people...but it seemed like he didn't need it.
