To Stand Where He Stood (Open)

[Bailey Oleander]

With Katsu barely conscious, Bailey hopes he'll stop. With Cabal's protections, it wasn't as bad asit could be, but still...he was going to need to rest, to say the least.

She wondered if he, too, was a "no brakes" person.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei reacts instinctively, 'getting in the way' as she drops to her knees to gently lift Katsu up so he's half-sitting. If he wants to continue, he has to at least be able to stay awake.

"Hey. I think you got the picture..." she says to him, hoping he just stops...

[Katsu]

Katsu squints, barely seeing Yanmei's face.

"...unfortunately... it seems so."

He's very disappointed in himself.

"I...apologize. For my poor showing."

[Blake Oleander]

Blake's body would painfully shift back to normal as he sheathed his blade and would make his way to Katsu and his Qi sprite. Virgil hovering over his shoulder with a somewhat smug expression like he knew this would be the outcome.

"It takes courage to stand against a monster. Brother."

Blake said with the smallest hint of a smile as he offered Katsu his hand.

[Bailey Oleander]

Since Bailey wasn't all that far, she would join the others, looking over Katsu for a moment to discern potential injury. Even blunted, it was a mighty blow. If needed, she'd offer temporary healing until they could get him to the infirmary or something. Otherwise, she'd let the man have space to breathe.

He'd get a small smile and a nod of agreement from her, at least.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei gives him a sympathetic smile. It's a relief this was a controlled fight since this would look very different otherwise. Which...is a bit terrifying. What if he does this against an actual enemy? One that's as strong as Blake?

She can sense the importance of the exchange though, so she lets Katsu at the very least try to take Blake's hand. She'd be there to support him if he needed her.

"Imagine your potential, Kacchan. Now you have an idea of where you want to get to."

Surpass, surely.

[Katsu]

"...I will do better."

Katsu nods to Yanmei, before slowly taking Blake's hand in an effort to stand.

It's not easy.

"...Thank you. But I don't see a monster. I see a king."

[Blake Oleander]

"My heart is filled to hear such kind words."

Blake said with a small bow of his head as Katsu made his way to his feet.

"Take solace in the fact that you still being able to stand places you above many enemies I have faced up to this moment. You are a true son of 63."

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei watches him until he's on his feet before standing up and moving back a bit. She wants to help steady him but doesn't want to make him look weak, so she leaves him.

She's happy with how this meeting has gone for him so far...regaining a family.

[Katsu]

"Thank you, again."

Katsu nods.

"I'm... honored."

[Blake Oleander]

"Do you intend to return home or continue your travels now that you have tested my measure?"

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey is curious about the answer and waits to see what Katsu says!

It woudl be nice if he would at least stop by.

[Qi Yanmei]

This could easily go either way, but Yanmei just smirks as she side-eyes Katsu.

[Katsu]

"I..."

Well. This is a hard question to answer.

"...I was thinking of.... perhaps both."

[Blake Oleander]

He nodded slowly.

"Well, you will always be welcome home."
