Trinity FINALLY made it to Cabal. It took several hours but she made it. Unfortunately, by the time she made it, the library was closed. Glancing around the area in the pre dawn light, Trinity removed the lock pick from her picket and proceeded to pick the lock. The action didn’t take long as she had practiced the move quite a bit. She moved into the library and closed the door quickly and quietly behind her. Relatching the lock she took another glance around and took in the library. It was rather large and had two stories. Trinity was quite taken with its nearly posh interior.

Beautiful. Simply glorious.

She shook her head and refocused on her task. She needed to search through the library to find something about Camelot. She shook her head again and smiled.

“I can not believe I am looking for Camelot. I might as well call myself Lancelot and say I’m in search of the holy grail.”

She spoke to no one, obviously, but even so she spoke clearly. She was alone and she knew it. She hadn’t turned the lights on for fear this would alert people outside. She didn’t need that. Trinity moved to an isle in he fantasy section first and picked up a book.

“King Arthur and The Holy Grail”

I wonder if this’ll help. Probably not. She flipped it open and began reading.

Finally; some time to go to the library. Soni was a total bookworm and she needed something new. Hopefully the library of Kabral academy would have something to offer.

Soni put her hand on the door to walk in aaaannnnnd...locked. Soni let out a sigh and crossed her arms. Great... She told her sister she'd be out late at the library. (Her fingers began tapping on her arm.) She had already come all this way....

Well... she wasnt gonna steal anything... 

After a quick look to the left and right, Soni generated a noise matching the frequency of the lock and pushed on the door until, inevitably, it shook out of place and the door swung open. If anyone found her and asked, she'd just say it was unlocked. Which, technically wasn't a lie; it was unlocked. By her. 

She walked in, quietly shutting the door behind her, but she left it unlocked that way her not-lie would be more believable, should the occasional arise. She would rather not run into such an occasion, however, so just to make sure, Soni put out a call (that only she could hear) that echoed off of everything within 20ft. She now knew exactly what was around her for that distance, and it seemed the coast was clear. She shouldn't need to check again, right?

So Soni wandered in, using her music device as her only lightsource, sliding her fingers across the shelves and books.

Trinity looked up for a moment and then back down to her book. She didn’t really hear that, right? Maybe just a passerby.

“I hate this city.”

She said to her book as she flipped several more pages and sighed. This was getting her nowhere. She shoved her chair back in her frustration and the chair fell backwards and hit the floor! Trinity sighed again and picked up the chair. After replacing it, she picked up the book and put it back in the shelf.

Trinity scoffed and moved back to her chair.

CRACK

Soni gasped and froze. Her eyes went wide and her blood ran cold. Shoot shoot shoot shoot. She stood very still and very quiet to see if she heard any footsteps.

Nothing.. Her hearing was a tad bit better than the average joe's, but even she couldnt hear any voices. Now that she was further into the library though, she sent out her tone again. (Apollo's Call: Byakugan, but for sound. Soni sends out a tone that she hears bounce back, giving her perfect echo location for a 20 ft. radius). This time she "saw" a woman...a woman reading a book...

This made her more curious than scared. Was it another sneaky bookworm? Or a librarian using her privileges to read during the later hours?

Tip-toeing around to behind the end of one of the book shelves the noisemaker sat between, she leaned around the corner.

She caught sight of the girl she sensed before handAh ha! Definitely not a librarian. It was most certainly the former: a fellow sneakster. With Soni's ability, this was golden opportunity.

"AND JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING YOUNG LADY" what would sound like a deep, older male's voice came from what would seem like right behind the girl in the chair. [Distant Call: Throw voice from Skyrim, essentially. Soni can create sound up to 20 ft. in any direction as a distraction to a specific point; it can also have a small amount of force to it, capable of knocking over small objects or bumping a person. 14/17 Qi uses remaining] It wasnt yelling, but certainly bold scolding. Of course, it was really just Soni casting that kind of voice to be right behind her. This would be entertaining.

Trinity tended slightly at the loud voice behind her. She relaxed and sighed.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m readying. I didn’t know that was a crime.”

She wouldn’t even look up, she would however activate her seikatsugan and realize the voice was not behind her but far to her left by about 15 feet or so. She humphed. But didn’t move again, pretending to read but keeping an ‘eye’ on the person, careful to remain hunched over the book to hide the change in her face.

Well...that was anticlimactic.

Soni came out from around the corner, her hands in her pockets, a couple fingers hanging out the side. Her voice remained in the (what was supposed to be) intimidating voice, but slowly faded into her own "READING IS no criiiime but not freaking out is! Cmoooon I just went all super power prank on you and you barely even flinched!" Soni stopped in her tracks and leaned up against one of the library shelves.

If Soni was being honest, now that she was close enough to see the woman, she was as intimidated as she was hoping her prank victim would be. This girl was ripped. Soni was...quite not. But, she had already gone this far. She couldn't suddenly act all timid now; she had to commit. Hopefully this chick wasn't too bothered by the fun Soni attempted to have.

Trinity noticed the person making themselves closer. And the HE turned out to be a SHE. Oh... and SHE wanted a reaction. Trinity smiled small and then relaxed her face back into the glower she gave those who made her angry. This would be great.

Lifting her chin, Trinity’s face shown in the dim light. Her seikatsugan oddly glinting and making her look far more devious than normal. She spoke in a low growl.

“The only crime I commit this morning will be spilling your blood over these floors.”

Her eyes seemed to glow golden as her words drawled on.

The seikatsugan wore off and Trinity burst into giggles.

“Got you back!”

Oh no oh no ohnonononono... Soni lifted up off the shelf and began to step back. This scary purple haired girl with the weird eye thing was about to go berserk on her, and Soni had never been in a fight. In fact, the last time she got into something remotely related to a fight she freaked out, robbed in a corner due to guilt, and was shipped off to one of the worst places on earth. So, yea, fighting was not her thing. And she was about to get into one. Her heart was racing faster and faster, and the slightest tears began to well up in her eyes. Her breathing began to get heavy, and she muttered "N-no I-" Instinctively Soni readied herself to create a sonic blast, as if taking a deep breath preparing for a scream. Not a physical breath, however, rather one from her inner being; her Qi.

And then it was a prank. Soni let her qi-deep breath release without triggering the blast. Sadly, it was not as easy for her physical body.

Soni let her entire body weight totally sink back onto the bookshelf, and she slid to the floor, nearly gasping. She frantically grabbed her soundwave necklace and panted deep breaths while simultaneously speaking: "O-okay d-dont... dont do that to me..jeez..."

Soni tried her best to regain her composure while remaining on the floor. "B-but in all fairness I did try to scare you so yea g-good one." Soni put her face in her hands for a moment and lifted it back up, wiping the tiny beginnings of tears away in the process. "Ahhhhh dang. Goooood one." She chuckled.

She felt bad and a little stupid; to the normal person this was probably over reacting. She didnt want to come across as attention seeking, but she couldn't handle sudden violent confrontation. She could handle casual fighting, or a general rise in tention, but sudden and violent was definitely a no go.

A joke of some sort was in order. "I thought we were about to go all super-power-fight there for a second. I'm glad I was wrong, cus you would hate fighting me. I'm the best.... loser there ever was" Soni made an exhausted finger gun at the scary woman. Maybe that would be enough to distract from the weird confrontation that just took place.

Trinity was still giggling when the girl hit the shelf. Her giggles slowly died out as the girl began regaining her composure.

“Yeah, it was pretty great! You don’t look like you get jump scares very much.”

She’d let her regain the rest of her composure as trinity sat back down and reopened her book that had closed during the ‘confrontation’. When the girl said she was the best loser she giggled again trying to speak between the bursts.

“Oh my Gods.... That is..... the best thing..... I’ve heard.... in a while!”

Soni chuckled in response as her eyes drifted around the room until they focused on the moon peeking from behind the window. It gave a soft blue-ish gray lighting that laid across her and her purple haired comrade. "Yea I'm hilariously honest like that."

Soni switched her attention (and thus eyesight) to the book held by the golden eyed lady. "'King Arthur Pendragon, Man or Myth?'  Riveting," she mused, gesturing to it with her hand. She was already on the floor, so she got comfortable and remained there while the fellow bookworm replied.

Trinity finally got control of herself and stopped laughing. This was turning out to be a pretty good night. Then she gestured to the book in front of Trinity. She decided to feel out the situation first.

“Yeah. I’m...” she sighed for effect. “Im looking for the grail. I know I know. Stupid. But I think that it might actually be out here.”

Not a COMPLETE lie. Right?

“You don’t have to sit on the floor. There are four chairs here, ya know.”

With the ability to control sound however she wanted, Soni had the best sarcastic voice known to man. "Hm yes, that is what those are called, and there are indeed four of them. Stunning observation."

She then giggled a bit while she stood up. "So," she began, pulling a chair up, "the holy grail eh?" Soni plopped in the chair and propped her feet on another. Or, tried; her legs were just short.  She huffed and adjusted the chairs until they were the perfect distance, and then propped her feet up with a nice exhale of relaxation. "What makes you so sure its somewhere around Babal academy?" 

Soni was actually quite intrigued. Why read an adventure when she could be a part of one?

Trinity rolled her eyes but smiled as the girl stood and fought to prop her feet up.

“Well, it’s more of a feeling. I’m just looking for it. Like a personal quest. A quest for the holy grail.”

Trinity puffed her chest slightly as she named her quest. Then she burst into giggles. 

“How bout you. Why’re you here?”

"Sounds..heroic" Soni said with a chuckle. 

"Ahh what am I doing her? Well my purple-haired friend i came here to read. Go figure right? I mean, this is a library! Who does that in a library??" Her sarcasm knew no bounds. It was risky; she could be laying it on annoyingly thick. But she was having fun with it, and that's all that really mattered, right?

Soni took her feet down and leaned toward toward the adventurer. "But hey, I'm also down for a good adventure. How can I help, miss uhh....?" Soni made a hand gesture for the woman to fill in the blank.

“I am the most heroic!”

Trinity would strike a pose.

“I could always use help, I suppose. Adventures are always better with others. ‘The more the merrier’ so the line goes. And my name is Trinity.”

She’d grin and wave toward the shelves.

“Right now, I’m looking for a place to start.”
