Search for the holy grail (open)

[Soni Vox]

"Ah, well Soni Vox at your service." she twirled her hand and bowed slightly. 

"Where to start where to start...." Soni squinted her eyes and moved her head around a bit, examining the shelf beside her. "Hm let's see..." she mumbled, standing up out of her chair. The chair creaked as it scraped across the floor. 

Soni walked back until she bumped into the shelf behind her. Her eyes were focused on the very tip top of the shelf across from her. "What about this one..."

The masked girl would create a small sound blast at the point she was staring at, which caused the book to fall down and plop onto one of the chairs [Distant Call: Throw voice from Skyrim, essentially. Soni can create sound up to 20 ft. in any direction as a distraction to a specific point; it can also have a small amount of force to it, capable of knocking over small objects or bumping a person. 13/17 Qi uses remaining]. The cushion of the chair made it land with a soft but audible thud and a puff of dust. Soni would then stand with hands in her denim short-shorts' pockets, looking at Trinity to pick it up; it was her decision if she was even interested in it, after all.

Trinity smiled politely as she introduced herself and then went back to her book as Soni started looking thru the books. Trinity glanced up from her book again and grinned.

“Discovering the Truths Behind Avalon. Sounds like it might yield something useful. Good pick.”

Trinity was suddenly glad she had decided to play nice with this girl. She was really useful. Maybe she’d be good to keep around.

Soni picked up the book, wiped off the dust print that it left, and sat down where in the same chair. She returned her feet to the propped up position and began flipping through the book. "Hm, holy grail holy grail... is one of the truths behind Avalon the holy grail? hm let's see.." 

Soni would continue to flip through the pages mumbling and making comments.

[Trinity Sudeki]

Trinity didnt look up but spoke to her book.

"Well, everything happened in Avalon first. If you really pay attention. Arthur Pendragon was in Avalon then he found Camelot. Its a really long story. Or so my memory tells me. I could have a few things mixed up in there."

Trinity sat back in her chair and looked around. Cracking her neck she picked up her phone. Trinity pursed her lips as she looked over the screen. She hit a few keys and then locked the screen again.

I hope he gets the message before he is too far away. Trin thought to herself.

[Soni Vox]

Soni continued flipping pages as she responded. "Yea I don't know. This is probably a good time to mention I know nothing about Arthur and Camel Ought other than he like took a sword out of a rock or something.. Wasn't he some animal with glasses or something?"

Before Trinity could actually answer that question Soni went "Oh! Hey!"

She brought the book closer to her face as she finished her thought. "Aaaaappparently it wasnt just before, it was also during everything. At some point Arty got into a bad party," Soni would pause to look at the camera Trinity and give a finger gun before continuing, "and got hit by this guy Mordred. Which, sidenote, that is such a bad guy name. Mordred? More dread? I mean creative sure but also a little cheesy. Anyway. After he got hurt, he had to go back to Avaland to bandage up, and in the process he took a drink from a golden cup. Could that be the holy grail?" Soni held the book up and pointed to the line that she paraphrased. She didnt know what she was talking about but she knew the heroic adventurer probably would.

In the background the girls could hear a low rumbling noise. Getting louder. Closer. Louder. LOUDER. LOUDER!

CRASH

A motorcycle would come crashing in through the skylight landing on a table, crushing it, beside the girls. Atop the motorcycle would be sitting The Blood Dragon wearing what would look like a black helmet.

"You rang?"

Rai would say to Trinity after turning off the bike, his black helmet becoming liquid and absorbed back into Rai's body.

Trinity’s Eyes lifted from the book to respond to Soni. Before she could get her words together, she heard the motor of her bike. A half grin crossed her face as she looked to the doors. Then he cane crashing through the roof. And her jaw dropped. As soon as she regained composure, Trinity leapt to her feet and started at Rai.

“Are you fucking kidding me?! I asked you to bring back the bike in one piece! Not to bring it DIRECTLY back! Jesus Rai!”

She rounded the bike inspecting it for anything amiss before rounding on Rai again.

“You are a fool, old man!”

She threw the last two words with a grin hen threw her head back for a laugh.

At the crash of the window Soni would scream "CHEESES CRUST!!!"

In defensive instinct she would scream a blast that pushed her back, past the end of the bookcases and in between two others [Sonokinetic Launch: Using a blast of sound, Soni can launch herself 1/2 her ENG in feet upwards, or over to the side for a dodge (SPD + 1/2 ENG)
12/17 Qi uses left]. She was still in the same walkway that Rye and Trinity were in, but between two other bookscases. She then heard Trinity talking to Rye in an "old-friend" type tone. So much for keeping a low profile.

Soni would slowly walk back to where the two stood. It was an awkward walk, the kind one does when their best friend talks with a stranger they apparently know, in addition to the kind one does when there's glass all over the floor.

She spoke as she arrived where the two were, taking her final steps slowly. "Um..Hey.. hows it going?" Soni kept a very confused face as she nodded in his direction. "Nice uh..goo helmet. Where'd... it go, exactly? Is that your super power? Helmet formation?" she asked, moving her head back and forth looking for the source of the goo.

That was as good of conversation as any to start with, right?

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

Rai shrugged and tossed Trinity the Key's

"Needs gas."

Then Rai would turn to look at the new girl. She seemed... a little unusual, but then again, these days unusual was the norm.

"Hello, my name is Raikotsu Sudeki, The Blood Dragon. Or, just Rai for short, and no. My ability is Blood Manipulation. Anyways, and who might you be? Trin's new friend?"

[Trinity Sudeki]

Trinity stopped laughing and sat back down, waving for Soni to rejoin.

“Yeah, this is Soni. She’s helping me look for clues. This here’s my cousin. He’s blood, my dad’s lightning and I’m also lightning. My apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Rai here decided to grow into a fucking tomato. Oddball doesn’t even begin to describe.”

She’d pause to laugh at her own joke.

“Anyhow, I texted Rai to help me find the Holy Grail. He’s looking for it too. Some might even say the grail has SPIKES on it.”

Trinity made direct eye contact with Raikotsu during the last. Hopefully he got the message.

Rye's tall stature and sly properness made her feel like she should try to be cool too. "Blood, cool. Funny, I can make blood curdling screams.." her eyes glared. "..b-because my power is sound..." She stated simply, making her voice more serious, though her stumbling of thought made it difficult to take her very seriously.

If it wasn't already difficult enough, it was especially so when she broke her short lived character, bursting out "OKAY WAIT IS THIS THE SPIKEY GRAIL OR THE HOLY GRAIL? Cus I feel like both aren't designed very well. I mean, think about it. One is a cup you can't l hold, the other is a cup that can't hold water. Either way, somebody was not thinking." Her eyes shifted between the two so as to open the floor for their opinions.

To her it was just a sarcastic joke, but to them, it probably just sounded as if she thought "holy" meant "filled with holes". This thought occured not to her.

"Uh... Right..."

Rai didn't really know how to respond in this situation. Why was Trin trying to be all sneaky and coding shit, and then this new girl, Soni of the sound, she seemed... nice.

"Well, I don't know about searching for a holy grail... but I did find out that your brother Spike is with my old Master. So if look for him we'll find Spike, and getting Mathew's location might be easier than getting your brothers."

Rai looked between the girls, and noticed the books on King Arthur and the Holy Grail.

"Oh! Arthurian tales are some of my favorite! Are y'all looking for anything specific? I can tell you all about the different stories of The great King Arthur and and his Knights of the Round table."

Trinity sighed and rolled her eyes.

“Gods damnit Rai.”

She turned to Soni.

“I’m not looking for the Holy Grail exactly. Just listen okay?”

She’d address Rai mostly now.

“I went through my fathers office, Leon Sudeki the lightning Dragon, and found he had a bill of sale to Arthur Pendragon. I figured Spike is there. So Leon knows The King of Fucikg Camelot and I need to get there to find my missing brother. Raikotsu here does the same job as me. Basically we are sent to find people. I was sent to find my brother. Alright Rai, lets find.... Matthew. The fucking Earth Dragon.”

She didn’t want to be completely clear about her intentions. She didn’t know this girl and the chances of the WRONG people finding things out were decent. The more people that knew what was happening, the bigger chances were things could go awry.

Soni stood there in silence as the grown ups talked. Then an important thought occurred to her, one she had let slip away earlier, but one that was of the upmost importance.

"WAIT" Soni shouted, interrupting any conversation they were having at the moment. It echoed through the library and a silence fell. Her eyes went wide and shifted back and forth between the two while she asked,

"SO ARTHUR ISN'T AN AARDVARK?!" 

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

"Arthur most definitely is an Aardvark, but, that isn't who we are talking about. In this case, if I had to take a guess. Arthur Pendragon is an Alias Mathew is using."

Rai pondered for a moment. There were a couple options for routes they could take.

"Well Trin, I've got a few ideas where we could start our search. But, first things first."

He would turn to Soni again.

"What we are about to do is going to be extremely dangerous and probably really stupid. I highly recommend you don't accompany us, however I will not stop you should you choose to come along."

Rai would turn to Trin.

"Alright, whoever is coming, lets get going."

Walking over to the bike Rai would pick it up as if it was as light as a feather.

"Oh, and I'm driving."

Rai would then proceed to carry the bike out the front door.
