Downtown there is a fine restaurant called the Cameo. Valekin, with his loads of money, was a regular there. Oddly he sometimes gets the craving for their desserts, he never eats real food, just the desserts. It was an upper class restaurant, and wouldn't be hard to find. Just hard to get into. Of course, Valekin was meeting someone there, which is why he decided the Cameo. He sat at a table for two, with a white linen table cloth. Wine glasses, great china, and silver utensils. Oddly, Valekin was actually wearing something other than pants and a trench coat.
For this occasion he dressed himself in a three piece black suit, with a blood red tie, and a white dress-shirt. His shoes were black, without waffle-bottom. He had worn a fedora to the Cameo, and his trench coat, both were hanging on a nearby coat rack. He glanced over the dessert menu while waiting for company.
"Would you like to order Mr. Kaluskov?" A waiter with a snobbish french accent asked.
"Not yet Claude, I'm waiting for company. And I'd like to wait until he arrives to begin. It'd be rude otherwise."
Valekin said, nearly slipping into insane laughter. Claude half expected it, he put up with it whenever Valekin visited, only because the Serb was pleasant to him, and tipped well. An astonished look played Claude's face when Valekin didn't laugh.

An Interesting Character... Reading the sent-in application, having decided to check some of the boxes early.. he was saddened to see there were only a few, for the moment being. But.. It appeared as though he had hit the jackpot of an employee.
..A former owner of a bar? And in New York City, of all things?
The fight with Aureus had left me in the hospital for a bit.. and his body had a tendency to be a little 'erratic'. Hence his cane, as well as his custom tailored gloves, to go along with his somewhat casual, somewhat formal collared button shirt, tie going down it. And to top it off.. a German coat. Hell, even went to a hair parlor for a quick clean up, and to get a well-done ponytail. He needed to spend his money on appearance for SOME things, at least.. in contrast of what he usually wore, which suggested a larger frugal side to him. This was, after all, 'The Cameo'.
Along with the interesting job history, this.. 'Valekin' also had interesting 'interests' and 'dislikes'. Someone who would openly admit to hating Muslims? ..Well, it was true they were a tad bit of a hypocritical people, perhaps overzealous as well as over passionate for terribly wasteful manners. Suicide bombers.. bah. And the fact that Valekin Von Kaluskov XII had an interest in.. 'weaponry' was simply a plus, for what he had, further planned. A valuable resource, that's what this man was. Hence the importance of why they must meet.
..However, even as he walked up to the Cameo.. he found it slightly odd, that he should be in a.. 'high-end' restaurant. There was a learning experience to be had, here. Coaxing Thrush into submission for such an extended period of time was mentally taxing as well.. so, he hoped this would be as beneficial as it seemed.
Briefcase in his left hand, cane in his right.. he nodded at the the man at the podium..
Coughing slightly, to bring about the man's attention.. he gave a simple nod."..Jonathan Winters.. o-on y-your r-reserved l-list, I-I b-believe, u-unless I-I'm m-mistaken.."

"Oh? Mr. Winters.... yes, you're on the list. I suppose you're looking for Baron Kaluskov? I'll take you to him, but I must warn you ahead of time. He's a little.... off his rocker if you follow. He'll laugh at times for no reason, and his appearance.. is odd. He doesn't look exactly human sometimes. Just, forewarning, mind your manners. And if you haven't got anything nice to say to him, don't say it at all. We had to call an ambulance the last time someone had the nerve to insult him."
The host graciously, in a hushed voice said all this as he walked with Mr. Winters at his guest's pace. Laying thing's out gently for him to understand that the young man was a little sick in the head, and a little twisted in appearance.
"He's the young man with the long black hair over there."
The host said before Valekin noticed him, stood up and gestured to the chair that just slid out. Valekin must have pushed it out from under the table with his foot. The Serb was well dressed, as stated previously, but he was tall, about six one, and a little pale. Like a grey milk.
"Thank you Jake for bringing my company to me. You may dismiss yourself now... You must be Mr. Winters? Have a seat, will we discuss business over meal or before?"
Hye hee hee hee hee hee hee....
The insane snicker came up again. For some reason he didn't supress it this time. He just let it out. The regular guests were used to his snicker, they sometimes even found it amusing. Jake laughed with him, so it would not appear rude, as he walked away.

First Impressions "Oh? Mr. Winters.... yes, you're on the list. We had to call an ambulance the last time someone had the nerve to insult him."A touch of warning? At any rate, Jonathan gave a slight nod appreciatively in the host's general direction. But, from the 'slightly' quirky application, though not entirely expecting this, Jonathan wasn't entirely surprised.
..Almost as if..--
Walked over a bit, utilizing his cane as best as he could, making sure his glasses stayed where they sat, to see where 'Valekin' was.. the host looked at him again."He's the young man with the long black hair over there."..
..What a hideous aura.
..
Had an amazingly good feeling about this meeting. Almost grinned.
Almost.
The Serb took notice of the host and the man accompanying him. Ahhh... quite refined looking. A chair was already pushed out, the Serb gesturing him forward more. How polite. And rather tall.. almost as tall as Jonathan was himself.. who could stand at a full six foot, five, if he wasn't hunching his head over slightly hunched over, due to 'tucking in' practice, for his own boxing styles. Both of them.. pale as snow, from a fresh Winter."Thank you Jake for bringing my company to me. You may dismiss yourself now... You must be Mr. Winters? Have a seat, will we discuss business over meal or before?"'Hye hee hee hee hee hee hee....'Jonathan raised an eyebrow. But not because he was put off by the abrupt snicker that seemed to bear derisively no purpose except malcontent for the general populace, for what he could vaguely interpret. But, everyone seemed to take this in stride. Which made Jonathan guess a few things, but honestly, he was hardly in a position to assume. Leaning over to his seat, he put down his brief case gently, keeping his balance with his cane. Left hand free, he stepped himself carefully into his chair, after a bit of silence.. pocketing his hands, and un-pocketing them in a few minutes, as he scooted his chair by propelling his feet a bit.
Not saying anything for a bit.. a few seconds. Not wanting to be rushed overtly much. His face remained.. still. Emotionless. A statue that forever stared into the table between them.
..And slowly turning his eyes towards Valekin."...A-Ah. N-No, n-no... I-I p-prefer th-the o-old f-fashioned w-way, wh-where w-we m-mix b-business w-with.. 'pl-pleasantries'. B-But, i-if th-that i-is n-not a-an o-option.. t-then, I-I'd l-like t-to g-get t-to k-know y-you b-better.. Valekin Von Kaluskov XII, w-was i-it?"There was a careful point in what Jonathan was saying... It was to give his eyes time to.. 'look' Mr. Kaluskov over a little. And within his own eyes.. was the only bit of emotion that he hoped to show, for this meeting in general, unless it became more favorable. ..Careful. Calculate. Observe. Take notice of how he holds himself.
His elbows did not touch the table, but his wrists did, as his fingers became entwined in one another, watching carefully through his glasses."..A-An i-interesting n-name. M-Much h-history b-behind i-it, I-I s-should a-assume?" he began.
Small talk.
He sucked at it, but, he was the one who called the meeting. Valekin was the one who arranged the place. The voice itself, clearer in real life, in comparison to hearing Valekin on the telephone. Which, he might add.. there was many more tangible things that this 'Valekin' seemed to be thinking. Those eyes.. a swirl of.. so many things. Afraid that he'd lose himself in that eternal swirl, if he stared into Mr. Kaluskov's eyes for too long, but.. it would be impolite.
Hopefully, though, he himself would not come off as cold and uninterested.. as he just simply chose not to smile.
We'll see.
Mr. Kaluskov.

"Yes, you'd be right to assume. It is my family name. We support the Serbian government in it's war effort against it's rebellion financially. I do believe you have my credentials, the family has quite a bit of money. And I'm the sole beneficiary."
Provided that he was the only Kaluskov left, he would be the sole beneficiary. Yet he would have received it all anyway, he was the first born son. The only son. The ellipses sharpened upon mentioning his family. Though he kept himself under control. A maniacal laugh was within his chest, hard pressed to come out into the open.
He thought this young Mr. Winters was rather cultured. Unlike most American teens; he didn't have his elbows on the table. Fancy that.
"You can just call me Valekin. Though I've been wondering what country you're from. I can tell that you are clearly Aryan, but the country eludes me."
Hye ha ha ha ha....
"Would you like to order now Mr. Kaluskov... and guest?"
Valekin let a fluid arm movement signal poor Claude to begin with his company, and move onto himself. After all, Valekin was the regular. Claude already had in mind what he might pick. Besides, it was only polite.

Potential and Possibility... "Yes, you'd be right to assume. It is my family name. We support the Serbian government in it's war effort against it's rebellion financially. I do believe you have my credentials, the family has quite a bit of money. And I'm the sole beneficiary."Ahh... A Serb! Interesting how that turned out. More rather because it was the damned Slavic people who started that war with the damned Austria-Hungary. World War I... how you amuse me so. And here, I am put in front of.. what appears to be an amazing individual. Hahahahahahahaha... rivals in race. Potential comrades in arms? Did NOT expect this at all!
Jonathan's eyes never looked away from Valekin's. That stony look on his face, never faltering. There was laughter in those eyes... those dangerous eyes. Something that the German was slowly finding himself more and more attracted to. Heh.
The air of an aristocrat?... Possibly. Was that what Valekin had? Then what of this madness that seemingly surrounded the Serb, threatening to choke Jonathan with how overwhelming it felt right now? This may be.. one of the most important meetings he would ever have with a person, aside from Calamity Jenna.
Had to reel this man in.--- No. No. Don't get overexcited. Don't give yourself away. You have to make sure. Only suffering will follow in mortal mistakes.
..And even then, nothing in his face gave room of hint. Only his eyes... only those eyes. Jonathan's windows. So, unless Valekin could read his eyes..
..Hahahahahaha.."You can just call me Valekin. Though I've been wondering what country you're from. I can tell that you are clearly Aryan, but the country eludes me."'Hye ha ha ha ha....'
The laugh was amusing. In fact, Jonathan had never known himself to MENTALLY laugh at amusement in little things, such as this. What sort of effect was Valekin having on him?
..No. Not an effect.
...This was something that he had in himself for a long time... that he'd been denying himself.
How intriguing."...A-Alright th-then... Valekin.""Would you like to order now Mr. Kaluskov... and guest?"Valekin's arm motioned towards prompting the two to look at each other. Jonathan, looking at the waiter. Holding up the menu a bit, he looked through it slightly.. and held it up to the waiter, at the.. 'beef' along with several other seasonings, that seemed to involve a touch of other things. The drink? Well, underage in America, some normal coffee would have to do as his drink of choice.
..In this place, anyways."T-There.. t-thank y-you."Putting his menu down to the side of the table, closest to the waiter/host.. he nodded over to Valekin, motioning it to be his turn."..A-Ah.. y-yes. Y-You've s-sharp e-eyes. I-I a-am a-an Aryan, b-but, I-I d-do h-have t-this s-speaking p-problem, m-making m-me a-a t-touch u-unfit t-to c-call m-myself t-this. I-It i-is r-repentence g-given f-from m-my f-father, w-while u-upon th-the Fatherland.. f-for w-what I-I h-have d-done t-to m-my m-mother. S-So y-yes... I-I a-am G-Germa---Deutsch."If neccesary, he'd say the above after Valekin had ordered. Didn't want to be rude. After which.."..W-Well n-now... w-what b-brings y-you h-here t-to Ca-California? I-I'm i-impressed b-by th-the f-fact th-that y-you'd g-give u-up a-a b-buisness..."..Time to begin move the direction of the conversation slightly more to the point, but still open it for free talk.
Would also like to hear from the mouth of the Serb himself why he hated Muslims, but, would have to whisper that later, in an undertone, in such company as this.
Curiosity. Ahhhh yes.

"I'll have the usual Claude."
The Serb didn't even touch his menu. He just pushed it towards the waiter, and he took them both from them. Valekin's elliptical eyes shifted, then refocused. He listened to the Aryan while the youngster spoke. He was an interesting individual, amusing to Valekin. When the boy asked why he came to California and left a business behind, Valekin's spleen vented... rather his heart leapt with joy.
Hye ha ha ha ha....
"I didn't leave a business behind. I left it with my brother in New York. I still make all the decisions anyway. What brought me to California is the need for revenge. Someone killed my entire family save Yuri, and I've been tracking that person all over the globe. I've gotten my hands a little dirty in the process, let's leave it at that."

OOC: So, after making you wait, almost close to a week...
I'll have the usual Claude.
..Apparently, this was Valekin's turf. The people were familiar with him. 'Claude', as the waiter seemed to be named, took the menu from Valekin, as it was pushed towards him. The 'usual', eh? But, Jonathan's eyes were more focused on.. the Serb.
..No. He could not tell what this man was thinking. Something eerily wrong with the way they were looking at each other. For some reason, it compelled Jonathan further, as he talked. What of his talents? So many questions!
'Hye ha ha ha ha....'
The laughter.
I didn't leave a business behind. I left it with my brother in New York. I still make all the decisions anyway. What brought me to California is the need for revenge. Someone killed my entire family save Yuri, and I've been tracking that person all over the globe. I've gotten my hands a little dirty in the process, let's leave it at that.
'Hye hee hee hee hee hee'
... Aye. Now, Jonathan was staring at him. Not even pretending to not be surprised.
...
And a smile crept onto his face. He was having some amazing luck finding people who could make him smile, as of late.
"...I-I m-must s-say, th-then. I-If y-you w-were h-hoping t-to i-impress m-me, y-you've f-far e-exceeded e-even th-that... Valekin."
His right gloved hand went to touch at his chin, stroking at it in a repeating manner. "Y-You m-may g-get m-more th-then a-a j-job, a-at th-this r-rate. I-I've b-been.. 'p-preparing' f-for s-something q-quite s-special f-for th-the a-area. I-If y-you g-give m-me s-some i-insight o-on th-these... 'd-dirty d-dealings'." his voice, slowly beginning to drop further in volume, leaning a little closer over the table, so that he could still be heard.
"...L-Let's d-drop th-the n-niceties h-here. I-I w-want t-to k-know y-your f-full t-talents. D-Drug d-dealings... m-murders... s-stealth... a-anything. E-Everything."
The smile grew larger on Jonathan.. but it was a face that he had never shown anyone. Save Thrush. 'Dirty dealings'.
...Perhaps he wouldn't get it out of Valekin in a single stride... but if that was the case, then, he'd prepare his suitcase. His sudden 'direct' way in talking was spurred on by a sense of urgency and excitement. Luck and God had decided to bless him. Indeed, it seemed like he would be needing this briefcase, after all..

"I can drive a tank. Chemical, fire, shrapnel bombs. Traps. Stealth, murder. Black Ops, sniping, primary assault. Infiltration, innovation, modification... That little splatter of blood on your school's front entrance? That was my doing."
Hye ha ha ha ha...
Valekin knew how to do things that most people would sell their souls to know. He sat there in awe at himself. Discussing his military qualifications over dinner with.. a teenager who wanted to higher him. The maniac couldn't help but laugh. Boy, I'd hate to have him against me. That would suck.
"You see Mr. Winters, I'm a highly qualified individual. I've served in the Serbian military as a Black Ops Lieutenant. I've gone on numerous missions. And I'm still alive. that says something doesn't it? Which means that I'd like to know what you're preparing, getting myself involved might not be entirely beneficial. See, I'm looking to stay alive, and have some fun with my skills at the same time."
His elliptical eyes focused in at Winters'. The boy was staring at him, and he forced his eyes to peer deep into his soul. What was he hiding? Madness dug at Valekin, and creeped out through his gaze into the other-- but then it was broken. Claude had brought their orders. A slice of German Chocolate cake. And that mess that Winters ordered. Along with a bottle of Merlot red wine. 1876.
"Thank you Claude."
"My pleasure sir."

Just A Little Organization.. "I can drive a tank. Chemical, fire, shrapnel bombs. Traps. Stealth, murder. Black Ops, sniping, primary assault. Infiltration, innovation, modification... That little splatter of blood on your school's front entrance? That was my doing."'Hye ha ha ha ha...'
Oh...? Truly now?
The laughter was a sign of something. Confidence. Overconfidence? Not likely.
Military involvement. More then Jonathan. Hell, Jonathan had to learn most of his own through books, and research. Truth be told, he'd never noticed any splatter of blood, probably for his sake of being preoccupied by other matters, and at the school's entrance at that rate, but.. it would be worth checking out, at least for the sake of this interview. Aye... aye... the smile quieted down a bit, as he looked at the meals brought before them. Mm... what lay before him wasn't exactly the 'greatest' looking thing, but it had a rather thick aroma to it. Marination.. aye. Aye.
Much too busy thinking, as usual, it seemed. Knife in the left hand.. fork in the right. But his eyes had difficulty in deciding where to look, going to and fro between the meal and Valekin."You see Mr. Winters, I'm a highly qualified individual. I've served in the Serbian military as a Black Ops Lieutenant. I've gone on numerous missions. And I'm still alive. that says something doesn't it? Talking quietly enough for Valekin to hear, anyways... but.. he leaned in.."..P-Power."Perhaps Jonathan himself was showing a touch of confidence that was more then should be considered sociably acceptable. But, it didn't seem to bother him, not at this moment. Not yet."..O-Obviously.. t-this i-is n-not f-for m-my s-sole b-benefit. I-I a-am s-seeking p-people t-to j-join m-me i-in th-this. But would it be palatable to both their tastes?
Well, I'm not the superior here.
But, this is your possibility.
Hahahahahahahaha... 'Dislikes Muslims'. Well, not all hunches are correct, but... oh so glad I decided to explore into THIS possibility.
But the meal had only begun. And Jonathan had not made everything bare. After all, all he had so far, was Valekin's word.
...That could be amended, later.

Hye ha ha ha ha ha
Valekin needed no guarentee for anything. There was never a guarentee that things would go the way they were supposed to. After all, how often do things go exactly the way you plan them to? One must be adaptable, and that's why Valekin has survived his own insanity. He has adapted to it, and those that don't adapt to him, will not survive it. Quite the enigma I believe.
"Do we have an accord, Mr. Winters?"
Hye ha ha ha
The cake that went untouched was marred as he stabbed a piece with his fork, and ate it. It was delicious. There was a reason why he only ate The Cameo's desserts; they were the only things that suited his upper class taste buds. To him, the food at the Cameo was not up to his standards.

Jonathan smiled. Just the same as when he had negotiated with Mr. Asiv, he made sure that at least a bit of his own dignity would remain secured, fastened to its seat. Power was and still is a human desire. However, his own reasons were what made this a little... 'different'. Would have to clarify exactly what his standings with Mr. 'Valekin' would be, in terms of being a man beneath him, yet, with no leash."Do we have an accord, Mr. Winters?"'Hye ha ha ha'"..A-Ah... w-we h-have m-more th-then a-an a-agreement, m-my f-friend. Those elliptical eyes twinkled. Once more cutting through the boy on the other side of the table. A grimace tugged at the left side of his lips. Parting them, and baring the over long canines. It made the flame tattoo on that side of his face wrinkle, and look like it was burning. He was slightly excited about the prospect of a demonstration. However, if his.. employer was calling him a liar. He'd get a demonstration anyway, on him. Valekin never took kindly to insult.

Demonstration Request "Proof of purchase? Are you calling me a liar Mr. Winters? Or do you want... a demonstration?"'Hye ha ha ha ha']
A twinkle in the Serb's eye.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha..."Wurde Sie mögen mich jemand töten?"'Hye ha ha ha ha'
Jonathan wasn't overly amused. The smile not quite there on his face, and a touch of annoyance taking to his eye. But, it left just as quickly. Could not let himself get bothered so easily, after all."Ja. Selbstverständlich. Ist dass offensichtlich nicht, Herr Valekin? Valekin nodded, and put down his utensil. He stood to get ready to leave, and checked for his wallet. Blast... left that at home. Oh well, who needs to pay for dinner when you are a regular? He wasn't about to, not at the moment anyway. Maybe later, when he actually felt like it. He practically had a tab anyway. So why not just stick it on that? Hmm?
"Then let's go, da?"
Anticipating something was to be said about the bill he quickly spoke up before Mr. Winter's would be able to respond.
"And don't worry about the bill. It'll be fine with them."
Valekin was on both feet now, and he had already started towards the door. A glimpse of the arabesque sheathe would be had from anyone behind him before he finished putting on his trench coat.
This... will be fun...
