Qi Beasts - To begin normal animals still exist, so your cuddly forest friends are still a thing. There just so happens to be something else out there, taking up what parts of the world humanity has abandoned. It's assumed they sprung up much like normal Qi users did, through extreme survival circumstances. Though it appears to be closer to a disease when it comes to Qi Beasts, it spreads through them, mutating them into giant versions of themselves. The largest recorded being a Bear which was the size of a small house. Their mutations seem to depend solely on the effects of the Qi that changed them.
Some have misshapen antlers/horns, eyes, fur, discolored or colored oddly, maybe even some form of armor grown from their flesh and bone. It's theorized they have become intelligent, but there isn't any proof to back that up. In reality;
There are "Tribes"
Beast Tribe involves most mammals and large land dwelling creatures.
Avion Tribe involves birds or animals of flight including bats.
Low Tribe involves insects and reptiles including turtles, snakes, spiders, bee's, etc.
As far as the tribes are concerned or know there is no water dwelling tribe, they do not get together as they follow laws of nature and take no offense to the killing of each other in self defense or need for food. Things are much like a regal court even with each other, showing respect, giving room, not getting in each others way. They all however view humans as some sort of virus with no understanding of nature and the world as they only seem to destroy and destroy, however with the talks at least the Beast Tribe understands there are limits and actual intelligent humans willing to talk and understand.
Avion Tribe cares little for land dwelling creatures and stays the furthest away, where as Low Tribe is mostly brute strength and pride. Thinking both Beast and Avion Tribes to be weak and unwilling to do what needs be done. This information is not widely known and only a select few know of it.
Qi Sprites - There is still not much information on these creatures. They are sentient, but don't seem to be able to be truly destroyed without undergoing something specific. Wild Sprites like to toy with people or get involved in some way, while others like to form contracts that bind them to specific people. Some have figured out a way to create Sprites, though the process its self has unknown or possibly even random variables unaccounted for, the effects on the world at large is unknown. In reality;
Qi Sprites are born from an over abundance of energy in a concentrated area taking the memories and combined power of the energy into themselves, gaining their own consciousness. If they are created on purpose they are regularly immediately bound to the creator through a Contract of Creation. Otherwise randomly born Sprites are left to wander in their own way. Over the course of a year after birth they grow to full size and remain that way for an undetermined amount of time.
Symbiotes - Still considered theoretical, Symbiote's would be an artificially created life form made of biological Qi energy grafted onto a person somehow. Some hypothesize there is a central control crystal that maintains the knowledge of the being, and controls it's power output and safe regulation of energy between the host and symbiote. Others believe they are a more harmful presence possibly devouring the life force of the host until only the symbiote remains to control the body like some sort of Qi zombie, cause of course we need that image in our heads. In reality;
Symbiote's are the 'Soul' of a person condensed into a Qi Crystal. The rest of it's appearance is completely optional and fluid as they can change shape and appearance as needed to fit aesthetics or the person. They need the host more than the host needs them, but they can provide energy, power, knowledge. A mental connection not even mind readers can hear. However the downside is a new weakness. Destruction of the crystal kills the Symbiote, ripping the crystal off the host, kills the host and puts the symbiote into a dormant state. Killing the host, kills the symbiote.
Qi Crystals - Qi Crystals are the concentrated and condensed raw Qi energy of the planet turned crystalline. These crystals hold, absorb, generate, manipulate, expel, enhance, reflect, and diminish Qi energy depending on the concentration of energy. It's even been shown very powerful Qi users can create them bare handed, seemingly out of thin air. Everything in the world that has technology in it, vehicles, computers, television, doors, lights. Anything that would of once been run by electricity is now run through Qi crystals.
Personal Tools - With a universal power source, regulator, information center, and technology; a universal device was developed called the Personal Tool, or PT for short. PT's act like holographic projected computer terminals from a wrist or hand mounted ringlet of Qi crystals. These PT's connect with Qi crystal devices around them giving anyone and everyone access, however people have discovered how to put security on them based on Qi Signatures, aura's, bio-metrics, passwords, codes, phrases... You name it, it probably exists. You use PT's for pretty much everything, phone, Qi-mail (Get it, e-mail, lol), computer interface. PT's can also scan and project objects or people and their information like Injuries, energy anomalies, structural damage, qi crystals, or assess the issue with a particular piece of technology.
