Scourge of the Sea (Pirates/GM)

[Davy Jones]

Davy was at the helm of his ship, they were in pursuit of the ship from South America, eager to get its booty for his own.

"Prepare to bring her about!  All hands ready to board!"

Davy brought the horn at his hip to his lips and would blow, the ominous tones spreading over the ocean, drowning out the sound of the sea for a brief instant.  The hunt was on.


Special: Horn of the Fallen: Once per thread, Davy may send out a distress call. Within two posts or rounds, 5 undead Sailors arrive. Corporeal in nature, these beings can be damaged but can't really be killed. Any fatal wound simply makes them vanish. Upgradeable Stats of the dead are equal to 1/2 his energy or 25. Whichever is lower.

[Lani de la Mer]

Lani dropped from the ropes above, a grin tugging at her lips as shouts echoed out across the deck. An organized rush took over as the pirates prepared to board, the horn sounding out a warning and a calling, depending on whose side you were on.

A faint glow could be seen beneath the fabric of her shirt on her back, an eeir blue as she felt her inner strength rise with the calling. They would be in range soon.

Then the fun would begin.

The ship seems to be desperately trying to escape!

However, it's definitely not as well built as Davy's, and they're swiftly catching up.

[Tobias Morgan]

From up in the Crows nest young Tobias would be watching the prey they were after.

"Oi! Cap'n, They're tryin' make a hasty escape sur! But the old bat is far too fat to get away! We should be on 'er in no time!"

He would call down in excitement. This would be his first fight as part of the crew, it was time to show that he was good for more than just swabbing the poop deck!

[Davy Jones]

"Witch! Show them the disfavor of the sea!"

He'd spin the wheel the angle his ship to take full advantage of the wind to continue closing the distance!

[Lani de la Mer]

"Aye, Captain!" A grin split Lani's face as she strode to the other side of the deck, marking the ship since the young deckswab took over as scout so she could play her role.  It was time to see how well they could dance with the waves.

With the distance closing, Lani's tattoo and hands would continue to glow as the sea rose up around their targeted ship, a pillar of water forming, rising like a leviathan from the sea before it crashed down on the deck and (hopefully) washing away those closest to it!

Zero Ability: ”Tide Bringer” - Born and bred of the sea, calling upon the tides allows Lani the ability to summon a surge of water equal to 3/4 ENG added to her attack, soaking them from head to toe as well. If she isn't near a source of water, she must channel the energy from the area around her, leaving the damage to 1/2 her ENG added to her attack

The crew of the poor pursued boat scatter and fall from the water pillar slamming into the deck, and four of them fall overboard!

There's only a handful of them still on the deck as Davy's ship closes in, close enough to overtake them in the next post!

However, there's the distinct feeling that something... isn't right. Being experienced sailors, Davy's crew can feel that the ocean doesn't feel right. Waves aren't hitting the ship from the right direction.

[Tobias Morgan]

Young Tobias would watch as he witnessed yet again the fearsome might of Lani as she caused a massive chaos. As the ship start come closer Tobias would slide down the rope to boats deck. Truth be told he didn't want to be up in the crows nest if Lani started unleashing even more fearsome power. So he would wait for his chance with the rest of the crew on the deck. However, being the least experienced sailor aboard the ship he wouldn't catch on to the unusual waves!

[Davy Jones]

"Brace yourselves! We may have a big one!"

The sea felt off and that rarely meant something good! He'd turn the wheel hard right to change the ship course.

"Witch! Give us favorable winds!"

[Lani de la Mer]

"You've got it!" Familiar with the sea on boat and land, Lani caught the sign. Even more, she was glad she wasn't the only one. She brought herself to the mainmast, looking up at the sky and the boy who hung about above while their captain ordered them to brace for impact.

"Better hold on, boy," she called out as the winds whipped about and crackled in the sails. She would bring the ind to the sails, intending to push the ship faster along its chosen course!

Prestige Zero Ability: "Ominous Winds" – Lani is able to summon forth winds strong enough to berate her opponent and those in melee range. Damage is equal to 1/4 her ENG stat added to her ATK with a small knock-back effect.

The ship pulls up alongside their target!

The crew on board seem terrified!

"Please! This ship has no weapons!"

One of the men shouts, waving his arms frantically.

There's a distinct change in the air, as if an electric charge is going through it, before a ship seems to materialize a good distance away from Davy's ship!

Cannons on the side fire large, green orbs, slamming into the side of the pirates' ship!

[Tobias Morgan]

Tobias held on for dear life as the ship increased in speed.

"Oh shi-"

He would start to say before catching himself from falling out of the Crows nest. Just as he was about to breath a sigh of relief the ship would get hit again! This time from... Pirates?

[Davy Jones]

"Jerry! Take two men and board the merchant's vessel. Bring the valuables here. Witch! Sink that new ship!"

He'd order, bringing the ship in close to let his men board the first vessel. Meanwhile, his undead crew would start to swim for the new ship!

[Lani de la Mer]

"Aye, sir!" Lani would take control of the cannon. That sweet, sweet cannon.

She'd also hurl another wave of water at it, hoping to sweep the crewmen off the secon pirate ship instead!

The green balls sail right over Davy's ship, slamming into the South American one. The unlucky crew that had been caught in the blast begin to melt as if they were dunked in acid!

The dragon cannon would slam into the enemy pirate ship, blowing a hole in the side and knocking two of their cannons into the water!

The undead have room to climb aboard the enemy ship, especially with the hole in the side.

The enemy ship sails closer, turning so that the front of the boat is aimed for Davy's, and as Lani's wave washes over the ship, they can see one man with a glowing red hand standing seemingly unphased, along with two other figures. They're not close enough to get a good look at them, yet.

The skull on the front of the ship begins to glow in its eye sockets with that same green glow.
