How much time has it been? I am not quite sure myself if anyone would ask. I don't even recall how I got here. My ears filled with a wall of noise that I can't really decipher. A moment later I open my eyes and they set themselves on a cup of coffee, with my hand in twisting motion, hanging onto a spoon and mixing that brew. This is when some noises begin to attain some individuality... I hear some voices and as my eyes skew to the left I notice some bystanders ordering their own coffee by the counter. To the right I see a panoramic view into the street with muffled sounds coming from the cars.
~ Hmm ~
I hum to myself, starting to wonder what time it may actually be, aside from the obvious daylight pointing at the mid-day. My right hand gracefully places the spoon on the plate beside the coffee cup. Afterwards it meets up with with my left hand midway. I tuck a sleeve of my white shirt a bit and the gesture reveals an exquisite mechanical watch. I guess I have a taste for obsolete things, yet things that are of a marvelous engineering accomplishment - and at this point a form of art. The arms of the watch moved about slowly, telling me that it is just a couple of minutes past two o'clock.
Even though the watch could tell me the time, it could not remind me of my purpose here. Could it be that there was no purpose? Maybe it was my curiosity that brought me here. So many years have passed and nothing seems the same as it was. Not a single face so far that seems even remotely familiar. In attempt to not fall into a deeper thought my eyes wondered off to the side of the table, locking onto a local newspaper. The front page had some kind of an article regarding Cabal Academy. I was not familiar with the place, apart from a gleaming fact that it was more or less on the same premises of a School that I once attended.
I sighed vacantly before taking a sip from the cup. Suddenly I hear someone making an entry through the front door, however I don't have a clear view.
