She gives an impressed whistle.

"I can empower threads with my Qi and control them. My battle form turns my skin into diamond."

[Gunslinger]

"It sounds as if you are more melee focused, while I'm ranged."

He chuckles.

"How fortuitous."

[Novocaine]

"It's a good balance." she agrees, glancing over at him.

"I can shoot a gun, but I do prefer blades."

[Gunslinger]

"I'll have to rely on you to protect me then."

He gives her a wink.

[Novocaine]

"Oh, if there's something I can do...it's be a distraction." she grins.

[Gunslinger]

"If you're at all as feisty as I remember, I don't doubt it."

Daniel snorts.

[Novocaine]

"Only when I fight." she laughs.

[Gunslinger]

"You're pretty chill otherwise?"

He didn't know if it was just this meeting or not.

[Novocaine]

"I like to think so. I mean I got a bit intense earlier but that's just because I thought you were screwing with me." she admits sheepishly.

[Gunslinger]

"I wouldn't screw with you."

He puts his hands up.

"You can trust me."

[Novocaine]

"Don't worry, I already figured that out." she assures him, patting him on the shoulder.

"Try to pretend that whole first half-hour never happened and we just started off at reading."

[Gunslinger]

"Okay."

He laughs softly.

"...it is good to see you though. I've always wondered how you ended up."

[Novocaine]

"Likewise. I never really did make friends after you guys. I was always too busy or didn't care to keep track of other people like that. But I always thought about your family here and there."

They were definitely an interesting bunch.

[Gunslinger]

"Wysteria used to ask about you all the time."

He smiles softly.

"Even Jack did. For a time."

[Novocaine]

Nova smiles at that.

"Well, now I'll be able to see them again at some point. Even if things aren't quite the same."

Those were just things that happened, though.
