"I'm sure they'll be interested to hear all about you."

"Both of them?" she smiles sheepishly. The way Daniel described his brother it didn't sound like he had much interest in other people.

[Gunslinger]

"Well, Wysteria more than Jack."

He admits.

"But he'll no doubt be interested about having a new sister-in-law."

[Novocaine]

"That's nice to hear. I'd still like to make a good enough impression after all this time."

Daniel was lucky. He didn't have to impress anyone in her family...

[Gunslinger]

"Well, you aren't a slacker. So there's nothing to worry about."

He laughs.

[Novocaine]

"Is that all it takes? Not being lazy?" she smirks.

[Gunslinger]

"For the most part. I'm guessing you're probably skilled if my parents agreed with this union."

He smiles back.

[Novocaine]

"I'm not really sure how either of our parents measured our worth, I'll be honest. It was either a good reference from noteworthy names, or we've been filmed or something."

She tilts her head in thought.

"I don't think I ever saw your parents coming up to this, so it's not like they saw us in person."

[Gunslinger]

"Oh?"

That makes his brow furrow.

"I just.... assumed they'd researched us somehow."

[Novocaine]

"Well, you ever wonder how?" she laughs.

[Gunslinger]

"I hadn't thought about it."

Honestly, it was just another part of his daily routine.

"I figured it was part of being an agent."

[Novocaine]

"It could be." she shrugs. "I guess I want to be in the position to get that sort of info without anyone knowing how."

In other words she's envious.

[Gunslinger]

"Maybe that's the first step?"

He points at her.

"Being able to recognize that something's there, watching you."

[Novocaine]

"I guess we should always suspect as much." she hrms, her eyes glancing around though she didn't expect to find anything.

[Gunslinger]

"We'll figure it out."
