Turning a Weakness (GM)

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike is in the Deadlands now, trying to meditate on his issues. The Qi he had been using for years was effective, but he could only use it once safely. Due to that even as a child his father had forbid him from using it more than once. Spike felt like there was something there, even if he was using his Qi wrong which caused the damage backlash, he wondered if there was a way to perfect it. So, his Battle Aura would flare up around him as he sat cross legged in the yard of Mathew's house, concentrating on the Forbidden technique, raising his hands near his core, the center of his chest and stomach, to condense his Battle Aura into as small as he could make it. That's where he would start for today.

Spike is able to create an unstable ball of black energy that looks and behaves like an angry ball of fire. Every time the energy licks at his hands or fingers it would sting.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would hiss as the energy scraped across his skin, but he wanted to keep a calmness about him. He didn't want to activate his Zen mode to keep calm so he would try to simply maintain the ball of energy, trying to give it sullen calm waves of energy to try and stabilize it, since his usual method doesn't work; Which is basically pump it with as much energy as possible while he rages at the enemy.

The ball of energy would resist, hard, calming down for the briefest of moments before spazzing out again. Each time it spazzed the energy would lick at his hands and fingers causing pain!

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would grit his teeth at the ball of energy as it fired back with a vengeance. Calm waves of energy didn't seem to be the whole right path, but it began to do something at first. So he would redouble his efforts, this time he would send calm waves while trying to encase the ball of energy in a redoubled Battle Aura. Trying to trap it within so it couldn't expand beyond the barrier.

The barrier would work, but Spike might notice that places the energy hit more than once would begin to strain and crack. This was far from a permanent solution.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would sigh and throw the ball of energy at the combat targets before getting up. He figured this was going at a pace he wasn't into, so he would summon the energy into his right hand to use the forbidden technique. He was going to play with the actual ability instead of something that mimic'd it. So he would go over to another target and think on it while maintaining the energy. His Qi was outwardly expressed, that was just how it was. This was inwardly expressed, which is why it attacked him, maybe he could mix it somehow.

Spike would strike at the target and try to release the energy outwardly from his arm instead of keeping it in his arm, hoping to avoid the damage.

[Sir Galahad]

This would come with extreme success as the target would be shredded to all hell as the energy happily devored everything in its path.

[Sage Sudeki]

Not really pausing at this he would activate it in his other hand retracting the first fist and repeating the process. His body could always withstand using it once, but it was using it the second time that would be the real test. If it damages his hand with the second attack, he needed to try something else.

[Sir Galahad]

The second attack would obliterate the target the same as the first... however, Spikes hand would tingle a little and sting slightly. It was no where near as bad as usual, but he could tell that after another use or two it would be just as harmful as usual.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would flex the fingers in his hand looking at the devastation. There was progress, quite a lot of progress, but it would still need some work. At least this new technique would be a nice surprise for the next time they do some training.

Qi Mutated!

Battle Strike: Spike focuses his Battle Aura into his strikes, compressing the whole aura into a dense location adding 100% of his Energy stat to his Attack stat. This lowers his Def by -3 every time he uses it. Does not have to hit to negatively impact him.

5 Use - Bleeding
6 Use - Ripped Muscles
7 Use - Broken Bones
8 Use - Torn ligaments
9 Use - Permanent Damage
