Nova... would succeed! Mostly... Rather people would just randomly wave at her, a couple would even stop to ask how she was doing. But most would carry on whether she answered or not busy day, and they were all used to each other being assholes.

She gives simple answers and quick nods to the pleasantries, but mostly tries to not give much of an impression. Either way, her goal was simple. Get to the other end, right? She would carry on, trying to stay vigilant about any odd attention she may get.

One of the guards would wave at her as they approached. They seemed far from hostile.

We're dying to know and I've got a pretty sizable bet going that between you, the new chick, the loud brat, and the tube baby, that y'all are coming her for special training since the Sudeki are famous martial artist. Nova pretends to blush and places a hand on her collar.
"I can't speak for the others, but I'm afraid you've read me like a book. I was attracted by all the rumors and stories I simply HAD to take my chance. From what you're saying, it's all true then?"
She notes the mention of others, wondering if any of those were supposed to describe her "companions". There would be time to figure that out, though. And if not, it wasn't the end of the world.
