John leads the way over tot he band tossing a bag of coins, and leaning in to talk to them about what to play. When they grin and switch some of the instruments around they begin to play. John would grin wide as he lead into the center of the floor. Bending at the waste he would stick his right foot out heel on the ground while his left bent in place, right hand out to more show he was ready to dance before he began a step dance. He would twirl a few times before sticking his elbow out for Roz to hook so they could spin together. Grabbing at the inhaler around his neck before he took a large puff. "WHAT WOULD YA DO WITH A DRUNKEN SAILOR!" He sang along, not poorly, but not good either. Also a tad too loud. |

Oh, this one went all out. Roz already liked him. Grinning as he took to the floor, he fit what most people expected and, let's be real, probably danced better than some of the others she had sailed with. Bobbing a small, playful curtsy, she took the offered arm and swung with him, enjoying the brisk energy.
It was impossible to notice the inhaler this close, but she ignored it. Not her place, not her business. She just assumed he'd already been hitting the drink pretty hard before she saw him, even if she did have other ideas.
"What do you do with a drunken sailor?" she asked with an arch of her brow, echoing the second line of the refrain as they danced.

As the song came to a close he would twirl adding a new verse.
"PUT EM IN THE CAVE WITH THE DRAGON'S HORDE!"
Taking a deeper breath each time as flames licked out from his mouth with smoke, giving a mischievous to Roz before breaking from her and leaping onto a table.
"PUT EM IN THE CAVE WITH THE DRAGON'S HORDE, OH! SO EARLY IN THE MORNING!"
And he would spit out a huge ball of fire into the air, activating his God right to show off the violet pink flames for a moment at the end, before cutting it all off. He would climb down laughing pretty hard.

"You're a what?" Nova scoffs in amusement looking him up and down.
Her attention drifts a bit when the singing guy jumps on a table and starts throwing out pink fire, giving a low whistle at the display.
She'd look back at Lann.
"Hey beast-boy. Can you do anything flashy like that, then? What's so impressive about you?"

Oh geez.
She doesn't believe him.
Lann's face goes beet-red, and for a second, he has nothing he can say. John's fireworks make it even worse, though thankfully it does hide Lann's embarrassment briefly.
"U-uh... I-I c-c-c-can... u-um..."
It starts to rain.

"What?" She laughed at the new verse, enjoying it and taking a step back as they went from swinging around to John swinging up onto the table, his face and mouth alight. She had to see where this was going to go next. She didn't mind if he kicked food or silverware or anything else over, looking up at the display with a grin as flames danced in the air. "Impressive, fire starter." Roz grinned and looked John over as he continued laughing, a little too much, and probably far too much for a fancy event if she cared. She held out a hand to him with a wink. "Now let's get away from the scene of the crime before they call you out for destroying someone else's hoard."
Or it could...rain inside. Somehow. Roz shook her head with a chuckle. Qi is weird. And it's getting her white shirt wet.
"So one of you knows how to get a girl hot and the other one gets her wet. That's some competition."

John watched as the flame he spewed finished it's puff of ignition with a tinge of a sad smirk before taking the hand offered and hopping down to go with Roz to escape the scene. Though when it started raining he looked over at Lann with a huge grin and shot him a thumbs up he probably couldn't see or notice. At Roz's comment he would look her dead in the eyes and smile.
"Or, are we the greatest team?"
He'd then chuckle a bit and try to lead them away, at least to get out of the rain... Having to go outside to get out of the rain... Lann was a cheeky dick waffle.

Nova frowns at the rain.
Apparently white tops were a popular clothing among the ladies.
"Well...alright. I guess that's..."
It's not that impressive. Taking a page from the others escaping the indoor rain, Nova grabs Lann by the collar of his shirt and starts getting out of there, shoving him ahead of her once out the door.
"What's your angle, huh?"

Lann is shoved outside, and he turns and stammers, unable to really say any words.

"Clever." Roz smirked at the cheeky question, laughter in her throat as they walked outside. The fresh air was refreshing as she linked her arm in his, hips going back to their usual light sway as she stopped putting effort into presenting herself more as a respected member of her new homeland.
