She grimaced he was as difficult to understand and much less handle as the day they met. She felt she was going around in circles with this.
"I have not cared about getting yours or Mathew's approval for a long time. I had given up on getting any approval from anyone. Raikotsu got mine instead, he helped me and he was simply a stranger so I helped him, why would he repay me with not but poison? I refuse to believe that for a second. Is that so wrong Eric?"

He clicked his tongue.
"Sudeki, Sudeki, Sudeki. Funny how a Sudeki gets inside of your mind, and you are suddenly on a path that leads you to encounter Sudeki after Sudeki, compelled to help them. Even living among them now. But I'm sure that's all a coincidence because you are totally in control of what's going on. Right?"

"Sudeki hardly have anything to do with it, it's been the Dragons that keep circling me. Leon I hear is an outcast and... Oh yeah wasn't Raikotsu Mathew's Apprentice? I think he told me that at some point. Now that I've pointed that out, lets make note that I do not blame anyone but myself for remaining involved with all of your visions and plots, but the only Dragon I actually have an incredible grudge against at this point is Blaze and even that blind rage is being quelled as I am moving on. It means so little, that Embarrassing stunt, I care less about anything else other than the Derik and getting our story going as it's just gotten started." she paused almost smiling but then decided to refocus.
"As far as how much control I may or may not have over my life. Can I not maybe just have a second chance to re-due what I started with you... even if it isn't with you. Maybe I am learning, maybe I'll come out of this stronger, because maybe as you stand here before me telling me I am dying and that I am a complete and utter disappointment... I am still not going to give up. I will outright fight you or whatever it takes to prove it to you."

"You seem defensive. What plots do you imagine Mathew has tangled you into?"
Eric tapped his chin with a knowing grin.
"It's true that Raikotsu learned from Mathew. But he was born Sudeki. Leon may be an outcast, but not so much that you did not stand with the Sudeki family to foolishly rip open a portal to another realm to free him. Kentler is no Dragon, and neither is Drake. Even if the name would imply. And I don't think you'll find Dragons in this compound that you've found yourself in.
He waved his hand dismissively as he rattled that off.
"Is a second chance really what you want? For some reason, I don't think it is."

"As far as Mathew is concerned it wasn't what he entangled me into. But Leon set us..." She pointed at her self and then to Eric. "... up to be partners and it was like I was the shit that hit the fan and splattered into absolute Chaos before I was obviously ready to even try and keep up with what turned into a bloody Dragon! If I seem defensive... It is simply because I am dying and I have no idea what I am doing except staring at your perpetual judging face looking down on me." She furrowed her brow and placed hands on her hips.
Who knew dying could create a bit of tension in one. Was she afraid..? well her heart wasn't quaking and her hands were not fidgeting. She could only think about all the undone things she still had to do. She wanted to change and her many changes came in part were to not let history repeat itself by dying and leaving Derik without a parent just as she was left on her own from infancy.
"Kentler and Leon are still Family... maybe that is what it means as far as I fucking know. When I get the chance to find out I'll let you know." She shrugged her shoulders. "Then what do you think it is that I want Eric?"

He leaned in with his ever pleasant and fake smile.

Her hands fell at her sides as he came close maybe in part expecting him to do... something. She wasn't sure what.
His words though... She felt it was a terrible idea to be experiencing doubt in this state of wellbeing she has put herself in. She would wonder if it started with Blaze but obviously even with that there was a possibility with Leon... No... she'd rather not let it tear her in two right now.
That familiar fake smile, however, was one she was absolutely the most certain about. She took a step forward closing the gap further between them facing him without backing down. "That I do agree with, aye. It doesn't matter what you think. It never did... Your thoughts don't matter with what I do or what I do with it. I could take what you've said or I can leave it. I am not sure but I am almost certain you are a drug-induced hallucination... no offense, but that means everything you are saying might as well be subconsciously connecting within my mind. If it was made by Paranoia or old habits of not trusting anyone for anything. What I want is to not let my history repeat itself. Derik will grow up with a Mother, and I'll be strong enough to protect him from anything that might end that. A second chance... or at least earn the chance to live as we deemed fit."

I care not what he has or what others and their motives might be but I have to be alive to do that so... I'm not dying today." She was saying that as if she was a hundred percent certain.

"No! To think you'd go so far as to think even I'd be that low..." honestly that hurt coming from him even if mid-sentence she knew she really had given him no reason to think otherwise. "I'll do nor allow such a thing. I have not the heart to try for I've never remained under others control for as long as it could have been helped. I'll keep him safe, not trapped. I've thought this through while my quiet hours had passed."
"I'll say I wont die until I figure out how not to do so... Alright? I am trying to fight for my life here, frankly I doubt you'll give me a straight answer so I have not attempted asking for even a hint of how that might be achived. But if you have some advice or wisdom that could break this circle tell me how I might earn it, please? I'll not just simply recieve it, I know I've done wrong... So what might I do to make it up. Not forgive and forget but to learn and never repeat this again?"

He took a step back at the second part of her statement however, the frown deepening as he adjusted his tie.
