Soulstone (GM)

[Preston Salabim]

He was finally feeling back to his normal self after the infusion of the Gem into his chest.  Now in a way his home was a part of him, it's will resting in his chest, watching and judging him.  Admittedly he still didn't feel prepared for what had happened, or the position he had found himself in.  But he was a Salabim and he would face this challenge with grace, he refused to be beaten.  And more than that, he refused to not give it his all.  For all of his faults and weaknesses, all of his frailties he would not allow himself to be less than his name deserved.  No matter what it cost, that was his duty and his burden.  

The Heartstone still had many mysteries however, and if he was going to master it he needed to understand it.  And so it was that he finally made his way under the halls of the Grand Chancellor's chamber to the depths below, deep into the heart of the flying island to a room where reality was thinner, and it's walls could be breached and peered through.  He wished to consult the other grand sages.  Those that spanned the multiverse.

When he walked into the room it seemed to respond to him. At corners of Preston's sight it would look like the room was moving, but anytime he tried to focus on the movement there would be none to see, almost like an optical illusion. However directly in front of him would be a pulsing circle made out of a runic design he wasn't familiar with.

Preston would examine the rune!

[Sir Galahad]

It pulses and glows, however if Preston takes his eyes off of it, for some reason he can't seem to recall what it looked like...

He'd continue looking at it, reaching into his coat to sketch it in his notepad, keeping his eyes on it once he figured out that little trick.

[Sir Galahad]

He does so... but upon looking at his sketch pad it looked like scribbles...

"Fascinating. I will need to study this further at a later date."

He closed his notebook and would continue through the chambers to find where his future self had taken him before so that he could communicate with the other realms.

[Sir Galahad]

To continue forward Preston would walk through the pulsing circle. Once he did the whole room seemed to shift and change. Warping itself into something new. The new room would be a giant empty space. But... it looked like space because the room would twinkle and sparkle at random, like stars in the night sky. After a brief moment a figure would start to form from the darkness and in front of him would be a frail looking, glasses wearing, Leon in images robes.

"O-oh!"

He would exclaim!

"P-please tell me that in you're reality your not the Destroyer..."

The man seemed nervous and looked like he was ready to just book it at any moment.

Preston blinked in some surprise seeing not only Leon but a bookish and terrified version of him.

"No, I am not. I take it in yours you are not the destructive Lightning Dragon then."

[Sir Galahad]

"Destructive?! Lightning?! Uh... Dragon?... no. I'm the most gifted Clerk and have risen to the rank of High Protector of the regin due to my kindness and charity. Under my lead we've known peace and prosperity... that is, until... 'you' showed up. You are gifted with amazing powers that we still don't understand and you single handedly destroyed half of all the United territories and obliterated all independent territories. In our world there is no greater savage that Prestan Salabim, The Ultimate Destroyer."

Leon would shudder.

"But, thankfully you are not he. So! What brings you to contact me?"

[Preston Salabim]

"I see..."

Interesting to say the least, and he couldn't help but wonder if that version of him had to overcome and deal with the same... handicaps that he lived with daily. But that was neither here nor there.

"I am here because in this realm I am the High Chancellor, selected before our last one passed from age. I have been bound with the soul stone, but there is little in the records to explain what it is and how it functions. I have come to consult you and the others about it."

[Sir Galahad]

Leon nodded.

"Ah, then I understand why you were sent to me. I seem to be the most versed in the Crystal's secrets. Where is your crystal?"

[Preston Salabim]

Preston would slowly unbutton his shirt to reveal the large Heartstone in the center of his chest.

[Sir Galahad]

"Well, shoot, that's one heck of a place to have it put."

He whistled.

"I mean. We put ours inside a Golem that lives inside the island, but hey, you do you bro. Anyways, as I said before the Crystal is all about its secrets and it is important to learn them on your own, but I don't mind offering you assistance. What are you wanting to learn about it?"

[Preston Salabim]

"I am interested in the damage it might do to its host as well as the best way to commune with it. I am unsure about yours, but ours has a personality of its own."
