A wave of visibly shaking air would be released from him like a cone in front of him, dirt, debris, leaves, all of it around him seemed to be frozen in mid air or in it's place, only to be obliterated by high frequency vibrations breaking them down on a molecular level, ripping them apart.

Mathew pulled the spike out of his chest, watching the blood drip down to the ground. The pain and anger still seething as his chest rose and feel deeply with each gasping breath. Growling he clenched his fists like he was trying to crush the spike and shoved his rage-fueled power into the spike to try and brute force through it. To rip and tear with the ferocity of a wounded predator until he found his answers. It wanted primal, he had that.

Mathew would find that he had renewed vigor and the Scorpion King was trying to heal the damage he had already done to himself, before it was like, Mathews body shut down. No energy, no Qi, no muscle movement. He was awake, just insanely exhausted. Beyond what he has felt in a very long time.

He closed his eyes and focused not inward but on the remembrance shroud he had around his waist as a belt. Drawing upon his strength to revitalize himself.

Mathew regains the ability to move, but he still feels cut off from his Qi. The Scorpion King is also still healing him.
"Seems to me... Going after that power did some unseen damage in here. It's going to take me a few days to repair most of it."
